Latest WIP on "The Veil-Hound"! This past week has seen some slow progress. I ended up reworking parts of the neck because it wasn't quite sitting right, and shifted focus to other areas for a "change of scenery" while the arm awaits its full completion.
It's tough when you have to go back, but it's always worth it for the final result. Still deep in the process of bringing this shadowy figure to life!

Latest WIP on "The Veil-Hound"! I've started shading on one of her forelimbs. The last week was a real personal challenge – recovering from a procedure and then battling a cold with a fever. It certainly slowed things down!
Despite being out for most of that week, I'm glad to report that I *have* made progress on this section since then, and it's actually coming along pretty well. Chipping away at it, one step at a time.

Sorry that this update is a few days late. Progress update on "The Veil-Hound"! I've started the shading process, and honestly, it's been a bit of a tricky one, particularly around the head. Digital art always has its learning curves!
But, I'm happy with how the head is looking now, and I'm optimistic that the rest of the piece will start flowing more smoothly. Excited to continue bringing this shadowy figure to life!

New creature sketch! Meet "The Veil-Hound". This is just the line art for now, but I'm already hooked on its eerie vibe. That unsettling, unmoving stare and its almost ghostlike appearance... I can't wait to begin the shading process.
I'm really looking forward to bringing this one to life! What do you think?

Flashback to this old illustration of Alice's tumble into Wonderland! 🎩🍄 I remember really enjoying capturing that moment of falling into the unknown. It's a fun one to revisit and see the magic in my earlier work.
What are some of your favorite whimsical stories?

New creature alert! 💀 Meet "The Unfurled". This sketch is still in its lineart phase, but I'm really excited about the concept. She's a skeletal, feminine creature with a large, toothy face, emerging and almost melting into the ground and surrounding vegetation. She doesn't even have arms, just stretches up from the earth.
I'm really looking forward to bringing this one to life! What do you think of her?

Throwback to this silly sketch of my cat, Reika, on a space adventure! 🐱🚀 It's based on my headcanon that she's a tiny alien who crash-landed here and is now pretending to be a normal cat.
Do you ever create little stories or headcanons for your pets?

Found this old sketch in my archives! I never got around to finishing it, but there's something about its raw energy and the feeling it evokes that I still connect with. It's like a glimpse into a world I only partially created.
What are your thoughts on unfinished art?

Unveiling a new creature concept: the "Pallid Whisper" 💀 This sketch is just the beginning, but I'm already intrigued by its haunting presence. I imagine it as a being of whispers and shadows, a gaunt, ethereal entity.
What kind of world do you think this creature inhabits? Let me know your thoughts!

Dug up this old sketch! It's one I never actually finished, but for some reason, I'm still drawn to it. Maybe it's the composition, or the mood it evokes. It feels like a fragment of a story that's waiting to be told.
Do you ever feel a strange connection to your unfinished work?

Progress update on "Exuvia"!
Continuing to develop the shadows and forms in this piece. I'm really enjoying seeing the details come to life, especially the textures and the way the light is playing across the surface.
Working digitally allows for a lot of subtle adjustments, which is why it's a bit of a process. But I'm loving the way the rendering is evolving and the atmosphere it's creating.

Dug up this old illustration from my archives! It's a concept of a girl living amongst jellyfish. At the time, I was really trying to create things I thought would be popular, and this was one of those explorations.
Even though my artistic focus has evolved, I still find a quiet joy in this piece. There's something about the idea of this solitary figure in her serene, gelatinous world. It's a nice reminder that even when we're trying to cater to external expectations, our own creative voice can still shine through.
Do you ever look back at old work and see it in a new light?

Progress update on "Exuvia"!
Last week I shared the lineart, and this week I've been focusing on building up the shadows and giving this creature some volume. It's always a satisfying step to see the initial drawing start to take on a more three-dimensional feel.
I'm particularly interested in capturing the intricate details of its form and the way light interacts with its surface. Still lots to refine, but I'm excited about where this is heading!

A creature caught between forms. This is a throwback to one of my older pieces, but I still love the eerie softness of it.
I always find myself drawn to themes of transformation, decay, and the strange beauty found in nature. This one was an experiment in blending human and insect, and I wonder how I’d approach it now.
Maybe it’s time to revisit this concept?

There’s something fascinating about the way insects leave behind their old forms—almost ghostly, like a lingering presence of what they once were. That was the inspiration behind "Exuvia", my latest WIP.
Still working on refining the details, but I love where it’s heading. Would you call it a monster, an evolution, or something else entirely?

Sometimes you make something that just sticks with you, and this is one of those pieces for me. I still love the design, but what I’m especially proud of is the hair—I spent so much time on those strands, making sure they had the right texture and flow.
It’s always interesting to look back at older work and see what still holds up. For me, this one absolutely does!
