The fabulous Indiana is back with another mesmerizing minimal pop gem called 'Bad Luck'! Reminiscent of 'Solo Dancing', a highlight of her pretty stellar debut album, hopefully this new album will bring more in that same vein! Enjoy!

Ola stirs up some controversy with acceptance anthem 'This Could Be Paradise'
https://dailymotion.com/video/x2cxiod
Over the years, I have come to depend on my boy Ola to deliver quality tunes and occasionally churn out a beyond fantastic album. Following the amazing ‘Carelessly Yours’album last year, one of the year’s best pop albums, the ash blonde Swedish pop god decided to write a song about acceptance of sexuality and personal freedom (of course). As a straight…

Hercules & Love Affair deliver a hot piece of art
The fantastic house collective Hercules & Love Affair have been favorites of mine ever since I first heard 'Blind' back in the day. They are always coming up with fantastic stories told through their lyrics that are set to fantastic house and electronic productions. With their third album releasing on May 26th, the group decided to release the second single 'I Try To Talk To You'. As described before, it is heaven. The song features vocals from John Grant, who has a GORGEOUS voice. His warm tones suit the song perfectly. Here's a quote:
The video proves a fitting accompaniment to Grant's lyrical contribution. "He tackled the story of becoming HIV positive" says Hercules' Andy Butler "and while I mentioned to him that he did not need to go there if he was not comfortable, in that beautifully punky, spirited and courageous way he has about him, he told me that was what the song was going to be about. What came of it is an elegant song featuring John pouring his heart out.
The intensely choreographed video is stunning. You can easily describe it as a gay, non-violent version of P!nk's 'Try'. Two gorgeous men share their love in a beautifully shot visual that looks effortless and timeless.

Timbaland and T.I. send Agnez Mo into the international pop atmosphere.
Even though she has been working her butt off since she was six years old, Indonesian sensation Agnez Mo (formerly known as Agnes Monica) has decided to start conquering the world. Indonesia is not big enough for her anymore, and luckily she has the tune and skills to back it up. With 'Coke Bottle' she delivers a fantastic slutjam that is catchy yet classy enough to nestle itself into your brain. Angez only takes time off from singing to let Timbo and T.I. do their thang, in the meantime, she is slaughtering choreography. As soon as their verses end, she is back to slaying her vocal delivery as well. A great pop star is on the horizon. Now let us see where she is willing to take herself.

'Xscape': title track to 'new' Michael Jackson album surfaces
A few weeks ago, Michael Jackson fans were delighted to learn that an entire new album worth of material was on the horizon. Entitled 'Xscape', the album consist of tunes that were produced by Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins (Darkchild) and Stargate (amongst others). The title tracks surfaced last week and it is classic MJ, putting the details of his troubled life in the spotlight. Looking for a way to escape them and try to build a normal life amongst the chaos. The song was recorded back in 2001 for the Invisible album, but never made the official track listing. Backed by a classic thick  production that sometimes swallows up his vocals, the song is far better than any of the crap served on his previous posthumously released album 'Michael' (2010) in my opinion. Listen to the new track below and feast your ears on some new King of Pop material.

XO is searching for the answer to an age old question 'What's Luv?'
Tumblr media
The first original track by British producer XO is as fantastic as his previous remixes have built him up to be. 'What's Luv' is a house-tinged melodic affair that has bound to enchant you after one listen. The vocal addition of Emma Corbett-Usher is reminiscent of AlunaGeorge and Katy B. Very very interesting to see where this guy will develop his sound next.

HAIM turn into disco diva's on Cerrone remix of 'If I Could Change Your Mind'
The lovely ladies of HAIM have always sounded very timeless to me. Their music is just amazingly written and performed and stands out by its honesty. French disco mastermind Cerrone has taken the girls by time machine, transporting them back to the 70s on his new remix of their latest single. 'If I Could Change Your Mind' sounds like a funk classic, effortlessly swinging around with horns and strings. Dare you sit still with this on. Perfect for summer!

Quack your way into Spring with Duck Sauce's new jam
Armand van Helden and A-Trak's joint venture into global stardom, Duck Sauce, conquered the world with 'Barbra Streisand' at the end of 2010. A couple of singles followed that failed to have the immense success of Barbra, but we're respectively massive tunes on their own. They did pretty well tbh, you've all heard 'em. With the release date of debut album Quack looming on the horizon, the quacksters decided to release another fantastic tune. Entitled 'Charlie Chazz & Rappin Ralph', the song sounds like a 70s radioshow gone to disco town and decided to party lakeside underneath the setting sun on a late Spring evening. It's warm, funky, quirky, fun and exciting: everything we've come to expect from a Duck Sauce tune. Listen for yourself below!

Tinashe hits the big league with '2 On' video
Always being ahead of the curve, Tinashe has been slaying me for the last few years with her mix tapes (check out the Reverie mixtape). Luckily, the people at RCA recognized her talent and decided to give her a record deal. The urban jam '2 On' is the first official single to come out of that partnership and luckily it has not suffered from the commercial company's involvement. The song is a sexy mid-tempo party anthem, that sounds fresh, but maybe a tad less fresh now that all of her contemporaries have been on her tail for the last few months. The vid is sexy. There is some nice choreography and booty popping going on. Tinashe looks fierce. All in all, a great debut video.

Kylie does some steamy 'Sexercize' with gym balls and babes
Miss Kylie Minogue has returned to the pop scene with a sort of fantastic new album 'Kiss Me Once' (out now, go get it). After lead single 'Into the Blue' failed to make the UK top 10 this weekend, a second single had to be put out. I have no clue as to WHY her team chose 'Sexercize' over the rest of the songs on the album, to me it's one of the lesser cuts. The production of this song is gritty, sexy and 'current', but the lyrics are just below Minogue's classy standards. If they went a bit more 'Slow' with them, this would've been a knock out. Now it just feels like a sloppy slutjam, and that is not what we expect/want from Kylie. The album is filled with glossy, gay, strong and euphoric pop gems, why go with this?! I can only think of one reason they chose this one, because it stood out from the pack in terms of sounding very different from her previous singles. So the two worst songs on the album are getting the video treatment (Enrique chose their duet 'Beautiful' as his next single), perfect. I need 'Les Sex', 'Kiss Me Once', 'Million Miles' or 'Feels So Good' as next singles to make up for this mess.
The video is also very un-Kylie. The song is a sloppy slutjam, so the video is kinda slutty as well. Bouncing on yoga balls in leotards, arching backs into the air, booty pops and even a foray into steamy lesbian territories on a table. At least it makes the song a lot more endurable. Check it out below.
