••••• We gave him a 20 peso bill but he said he doesn’t want money, he said he wants a toy. That’s when I realized that kids should be playing, not working to have money to buy something to eat. In the Philippines, a lot of children, as young as 3 yrs old, are already working just to have money to buy food, not only for them, but for all their family. A lot of families can’t afford to enrol their child to school because they don’t even have enough money to buy food everyday; and there I am... spending up to 20€ for a meal.. it kills me.
