the secret to organising any kind of trip with your friends is to become the benevolent dictator. do NOT wait for everyone to provide a consensus on things before you book anything. do it and then ask for feedback after. do not ask people what they would like to do just tell them what is happening and let them all nod along like the sheep they are. this is the ONLY way to coordinate a group of adults in their 20s/30s

knowledge long forgotten
got really into reading item descriptions on this playthrough. anyway did you know the silent princess is one of the only raw materials with a cooking effect to not explicitly list that effect in its description

I remember when I was moving out from my parents' place to go to grad school, I had a moment of crisis where I realized the number of times I'd be in the presence of my parents had gone from some uncountable number to something finite
I didn't have the words at the time, but it was something about going from the infinite to the finite
There's something powerful in going from experiencing something as past the horizon versus a measurable amount. Like being able to wrap your arms around the number of times you will have to savor a person

My personal pet project of a Regional Form Dragonite! (Dragon/Water?)
I've made alternate Dragonair evolutions before, solely out of love for Dragonair as a standalone design and not because I feel hatred towards regular Dragonite. I think regular Dragonite is awesome and this form is not a replacement. You can tell because it's silver to the original gold!
The lore is that while Kantonian Dragonite are super hardy, excellent migration Pokemon that can travel super long distances through intense weather, this form of Dragonite is far more frail and sensitive to its environment. It is neotenous-- meaning that it resembles its younger versions in its adult form. Think of it as the axolotl to the salamander.
They are freshwater dragons that thrive in only the cleanest, most nutrient rich environments. They can fly, but prefer to stay in their home to protect it from harm and pollution. Contrary to their golden counterpart, they are far more wary of humans but will help if necessary.
edit: fixed the rendering on the orbs

just get a smaller soup bowl doofus
First ten bites of soup are so fucking good. Piping hot savory infusion of whatever you've got in there, instantly warming your core with the comfort of a hearty bowl of wholesome fare......
The final fifty bites, each of which is scraped from the last tiny tepid puddle in a corner of your serving dish and fills approximately one one hundredth of the spoon and tastes mostly like furious contempt for the social convention preventing you from just slurping the last bit of tiresome concoction from the bowl directly and putting a much needed end to the whole experience, are execrable in the extreme.
And spilling even one drop of wretched broth on your beard makes you wish liquid food was illegal to make.
