64 ans de vie et le chemin de l'amour
Le 13 août, si Dieu le veut, j'aurai 64 ans. Et au cours de ce long voyage, quelque chose a toujours été présent, mais ne s'est jamais concrétisé comme beaucoup l'espéraient : l'amour romantique. Oui, ma vie amoureuse n'a pas été « victorieuse » au sens traditionnel du terme. Je n'ai jamais connu de romance qui se soit transformée en relation durable.
Je l'avoue publiquement, sans aucune honte. Et, curieusement, je n'en suis pas malheureux. Il y a, certes, une certaine mélancolie et une certaine insatisfaction de ne pas avoir eu de relation réussie, mais cela ne me détruit pas. Je ne vais pas me saboter en suivant un chemin qui ne m'était pas ouvert.
Fort de cette trajectoire, je ne me fais aucune illusion et je n'ai pas l'intention de rechercher une relation amoureuse maintenant, d'autant plus que j'ai des problèmes de santé. Il est absurde de s'obstiner dans quelque chose qui n'a jamais abouti.
Il est important de dire que, même sans succès amoureux, j'ai fait de l'amour une chose très importante dans ma vie. Malgré tout, je n'ai pas eu la chance d'avoir une relation sérieuse et durable. Peut-être, et certainement, je la laisserai pour une vie future, car dans cette vie, trouver quelqu'un qui me complète me semble une tâche difficile, même si je ne suis pas si vieux.
Pour conclure, et suivant la philosophie de Friedrich Nietzsche, je dis : « amor fati ». J'ai appris à aimer ma vie telle qu'elle est. Et ainsi, j'avance.

On August 13th, God willing, I will be 64 years old. And on this long journey, something that has always been present, but never materialized in the way many expect, is romantic love. Yes, my love life has not been "victorious" in the traditional sense. I have never had a romance that turned into a long-lasting relationship.
I confess this publicly, without any shame. And, oddly enough, I do not feel unhappy about it. There is, yes, a melancholy and a certain dissatisfaction for not having had a successful relationship, but that does not destroy me. I will not sabotage myself by following a path that was not open to me.
Based on this trajectory, I have no illusions and I do not intend to seek a romantic relationship now, especially since I have some health problems. It makes no sense to insist on something that never blossomed.
It is important to say that, even without romantic success, I have made love something very important in my life. Despite everything, I have not had the good fortune of having a serious and lasting relationship. Perhaps, and certainly, that will be left for a future incarnation, because in this life, finding someone who completes me seems like a difficult task, even though I am not that old.
To conclude, and following the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, I say: "amor fati". I have learned to love my life the way it is. And so, I move forward.
