Today is the first time I’ve sat down properly and rested after walking around for a few hours in the throbbing heat. I like it here, in Osaka. It feels a lot more relaxed, I don’t feel ostracized as much as in Kyoto or Tokyo. But I would be lying if I said I wasn’t beginning to feel lonely and isolated within myself. It was kind of eating me alive last night, I wanted to deny the feeling because of how grateful I am to be here and how lucky I am but my feelings are honest and I shouldn’t deny them. In a few minutes I’m walking to this tea place I made reservations for 2 1/2 hours ago. When I showed up they were fully booked. I think I need to play into be a tourist a little more, stop more. For some reason I don’t like the idea of being a tourist. I think that just some insecurity I have because inherently it’s kind of ridiculous. After I’m done at tea I’m going to go home and change and then go to dinner. Yakitori sounds really good…I’m gonna work on being softer smile more when I see something that makes me happy I think I’ll feel more full filled and less isolated this way
