It annoys me that people paint Tony specifically as some sort of saint when he had so many moral failings

People acting like the New Avengers are evil incarnate whilst pretending the og team were paragons of virtue is hilarious to me.

Like you don't get to be all outraged about Alexei being a "child trafficker" whilst ignoring how Wanda slaughtered an entire temple full of teenage magic acolytes & tried to kill another teenager all in an attempt to kidnap the childen of her variant.

You don't get to condemn Walker for "killing an innocent man" to avenge the murder of his best friend, but also be fine with how Tony tried to brutally murder Bucky despite (and shot him in the back) knowing he was mind- controlled.

You don't have a right to complain about Yelena "continuing to kill after she was freed" and yet make excuses for Clint having gone on the rampage as Ronin and killed hundreds of people during The Snap.

You also don't get to demand the Thunderbolts "suffer consequences" when none of your faves have to face any kind of consquences ever. Especially Tony Stark.

The people condemning the Thunderbolts don't have the moral high ground here. They're just revealing themselves to be hypocrites.

AO3 being down this morning caused me to use fanfic net, pure desperation over here

i can’t comprehend how steve was even able to grapple with just the IDEA of leaving bucky in endgame when in the same movie he used the phrase “bucky is alive” to literally stun his 2012 counterpart and take him down. like my guy everything you do is for bucky how the hell did we go from “whatever it takes” to bring everyone (bucky) back (NOT TO MENTION THAT IN THE POSTERS IM PRETTY SURE BUCKY WAS IN STEVES SHADOW AND WAS SUPPOSED TO SIGNIFY WHO STEVE IS DOING THE TIME HEIST FOR) and “till the end of the line” and “i’m not gonna fight you” to steve just up and leaving bucky not even a month after the final battle/bucky’s return. steve had maybe a combined 5 hours with the guy in total from civil war to endgame and then left

Back on the ship that got me on ao3 in the first place (stucky) and I am losing my mind a bit.

you were in love in a world where they didn't want you to be, and then you got separated and found each other again, but one of you was irreversibly changed. but in this new place, its not accepted but it is possible to love each other, and either way, you can stay together now,

except then one of you dies. and the other dies. and then you arent dead, and you wake up in a world that does, in some places, let you be in love, except its been 70 years, one of you has been brainwashed and tortured and used as a weapon and the other is at odds with a world that only wants him to be what the propaganda says he is, but you find each other again anyway.

and it shouldn't work. you're both physically different, both changed and scarred by the years and maybe you should have just grown apart and let go. except you didn't, and you love each other, and you can't stop, and you won't stop. and maybe that's all that ever mattered, damn what the world thinks about it.

you know what i think about near daily?

that there is a non-zero chance that the reason that SHIELD was able to thaw steve safely was because of it being done to bucky over and over and over for seventy years.
