This occurring is probably the biggest issue I have with the whole “Minors can publicly show off and produce NSFW art and talk about NSFW things” argument. Simply because I’ve come across too many instances of minors engaging in things they honestly have no business engaging in, so openly.
That’s why when antis use the phrase “Well they’re a minor drawing this so it’s okay” because it completely contradicts their whole belief system. Minors shouldn’tinvolve themselves in NSFW communities because it puts Adults, in general, who don’t want to involve themselves with minors, in a dangerous situation, along with the minor themselves.
hm ok actually yes after like 30 seconds exploring sabciel I found NSFW of them drawn by a 13 year old, and while I can understand the 13 year old’s motivations here I actually am deeply skeeved out by the adults reblogging it, esp when it’s like….. pretty clear in style and content how young the creator is
like. that’s still not grooming but it’s sure as hell an interaction that makes me uneasy

Hey here's a fun fact, I've been sent into tons of panic attacks and bouts of crying, vomiting, shaking, and self harming because of accidentally coming across works where people wrote the abuse I suffered as kinks. And you, ya little rascal, you're defending it. A whole blog! Wow. If there's a hell, you have a one way ticket. That's all I can say. It's fucking incredible.
First of all, I’m sorry you have to deal with that. I also have panic attacks and they’re awful. But you need to address the fact that you have a serious problem here and the solution isn’t censoring other people’s stories. If you’re having panic attacks and episodes of self harm from just being reminded of the existence of certain kinks, please see a therapist. This is not healthy, it’s not normal, and it’s not a situation that you should be in for the long term. These kinks aren’t going to go away and you need to learn how to handle that for the sake of your mental health.
Also? People aren’t writing about your abuse. We have no idea who you are or what you went through. We’re writing fictional stories about fictional characters in fictional scenarios. It’s not about you.
Fun fact: Giant otters have 22 distinct noises they use for communication. Also they want you to get help too, anon. Please listen to the otters.

being an abuse survivor is not a club membership that you can take away from people when they behave in a way you deem ‘unacceptable’
survivor is not a term that only the Most Pure and Most Worthy of abuse victims are allowed to use
and you don’t have any fucking right whatsoever to tell abuse survivors they “aren’t survivors anymore” or aren’t allowed to call themselves survivors just because they say or do something you don’t like even if you’re a survivor yourself

Saying that it is okay to hate, harass, bully, dox, stalk, etc. a real person over fictional characters and ships and fictional stories is to justify abuse.
That’s all you’re doing. You’re just justifying abuse. It doesn’t matter that you were/are a victim of abuse. You’re justifying and excusing abuse because they’re getting abused for the “right” reason.

Morning thought: the reason there's such a huge push to recontextualize "fujoshi" as a terrible thing is because people want to call women "fag hags" without having to unpack all of the homophobia and misogyny inherit in the term. So they use a stereotype over a decade out of date of a group to conflate two groups a with lot of overlap - including the fact that back in the noughties "fujoshi" was often used to mean "weeaboo fag hag".
That’s a very good brand of tea, where do you go buy it?

Y’know what’s funny, this person stans BNHA. An anime/manga where the main characters, who are underaged girls are sexualized, they made a “Call me when you turn 18 joke”, and two of the characters are constantly making lewd gestures towards the females. Yet they’re talking about some moral code as if it doesn’t apply to them.
“you shouldn’t apply morality to shipping and fandom” you should apply morality to everything you idiot. you can’t remove yourself from the concepts of right and wrong at your own convenience

antis who enjoy Problematic media that has the same content as other Problematic media that they harass other people for enjoying basically have a mindset of:
“i can view (x media) because i know that i’m intelligent and i have good morals and i posses all the emotional and thinking skills needed to realize that this fiction is not the same thing as reality and that i’m not harming anyone by enjoying it—but i don’t trust other people to view (y media) because i don’t trust that they’re intelligent, that they have good morals, or that they are able to tell the difference between fiction and reality, and they are harming me by liking something that i don’t and continuing to view it even after i told them not to”
it stems from a superiority complex (mainly focused in terms of morality), elitism (“my interests are the only valid interests”), control issues (“everyone should do what i say and think what i tell them to”), and hypocrisy (“do as i say, not as i do”) all mixed up in a bag of trash and left out to rot.

AHAHAHHAHAHAH I ASKED THEM AND THIS IS WHAT THEY SAID!!!!!!
(submitted by @nekoseren)
I’M CACKLING LMAO
So yeah, not a surprising answer at all. That darn “fanservice” of muscular athletes who are required to be shirtless due to their sport.
It’s just… why are people like this??
Real talk, Free! is such a sweet slice of life about teamwork and friendship and growing up. Most of the “fanservice” shots are played for laughs. It’s self-aware almost. The shirtless scenes that are fanservice are often exaggerated, it’s clearly self-aware of its demographic and poking fun at itself/that trope. Many of these close-up/pan-up/zoomed-in moments complete with shoujo sparkles are from the POV of Gou anyways, who’s a teenage girl obsessed with muscles. Other times, it’s literally just a joke. The closeup of Rei’s penguin speedo wasn’t sexy, it was hilarious because Rei’s a turbo nerd and that scene was so ridiculous that it was funny.  Haru wearing his jammers while bathing or under his clothes at all times and stripping down upon seeing any body of water is another example of a running gag. The “fanservice” is comedic moments like that. Oh man, they’re missing out on a good anime.
I mean just… look at these absolute dorks. Can you believe this anime is considered “unsafe”??

I dont treat fictional characters like they’re real people.
I treat them like fictional characters, which means whatever my mind comes up with, I can do whatever the
f u c k
i want with them.
That’s why they are fictional!

I’m curious when Tumblr decided that every ship has to be a ship of perfect health? The healthiest ship? The perfect and most eternal ship? Since when was ‘health’ ever a requisite for writing about the types of relationships people fall into? Like I’m really curious, because I see so many people get so twisted up and angry and annoyed that someone’s ship isn’t “healthy”, as if characters are real people who need to be looked out for. I don’t get it. I don’t.
