very silly fancomic project i made in a sort of frenzied love inbetween work. I wanted to get back to something i loved as a kid since it's FF, so I was very inspired by the aesthetics and mannerisms of 90s doujinshi. Tried to follow that as far as I could, using g-pen and borrowing a tiny screentone from a friend, as well as making the cover in pale yellowish copics and ink. Only the text is digital... It's fun to get back to just creating goofy stuff with your hands, even if the result is very wonky. i didn't storyboard it or anything, so it just kinda goes with the flow. but i hope it's fun!

Shinei: I’ve been burnt out for ages and no longer enjoy it on top of the art world being very cruel and unforgiving. I didn’t want my daughter going through the same thing I did so I did everything in my power to keep her from that path even if I did go way to far and did some serious damage to her.

Harumichi: Some street musicians were mean to me 30 years ago so I’m going to aggressively verbally assault my son for doing street music. 😡

Hey guys....hope you have a great Holiday season! Anyways let me yap about Shinei rq

Shinei Shinonome is a very interesting character imo. For one, some people in the fandom see him as a "deadbeat" or he hates his kids, but that isn't true. He actually really does care for his kids, but he doesn't really know how to express that. I will be a Shinei defender night and day so bear with me now. Please refer to the Shinei Shinonome wiki, as many of my points are from there. This is just a small lil rant from me, so I'm sorry if things are slightly inaccurate, please feel free to correct me if anything is wrong.

Shinei really does care for his children, but it's really only seen/mentioned in Ena stories. The two beef between Ena and her dad was because she discouraged her from pursuing art. Why would he do that? Well, to protect her. Shinei is an artist, as many people know. He only wanted to protect Ena from the struggles he had as an artist, he just said it in a blunt way that Ena took wrongly. This is why Akito approaches his dad, telling him to be more gentle with Ena with advice. (As far as I know) Shinei doesn't interact with his son unless it's regarding Ena. That obviously isn't as good, but it's clear that he also cares for Akito. The relationship between him and his children is strained because he can't put things lightly, meanwhile his kids love their mother because she's more involved with them.

Shinei also likes camping! He likes Cheesecake and Pancakes just like his kids, he hates carrots! Apparently he is active enough in his kid's lives if it led to his own kids liking and disliking the same things as their old man!

This is my tier list on pjsk parents. As you can see the best parents (imo) are on the top for obvious reasons. Notice how Shinei is "Decent". He is an okay father, definitely better than Harumichi and Mafumom for sure, but he's nowhere near Ken or Kanada parents.

I'll probably make a whole rant post abt this lil list if y'all want idk I js wanted to yap thank you 💕

Maybe it's bias, but Ken was DEFINITELY a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 in his peak. First of all, he's the youngest pjsk father, and he CANONICALLY met his wife in college. So already he's sticking his weewee in places he shouldn't.

He only made one kid however, but that kid is low-key peak pjsk (hmu An Shiraishi). Not to mention that Ken is a GOOD DAD, the best dad compared to the other fathers in pjsk (I will make a post abt that eventually a rant post whatever).

Shout out to Ken's wife Yuka fr, she the goat ☝️ making a pretty ass daughter, An's mother must be pretty asf if her dad is smoking hot like that at the age of 43! Anyways enough yap, let's give this guy a score.

Mentioned earlier, Ken was in college when he met Yuka, and we all know how some fellas be in college. Ken's 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 score is 87/100! He's not a perfect 100, because he did settle relatively early in his life. Staying with a college sweetheart is crazy work on its own. Not saying that settling is bad, but this is 𝓟𝓮𝓪𝓴 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 we're talking about! But that's still a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 score! Good job Ken Shiraishi, hmu please 🙏

Shinei is 48(?), and Harumichi is 53. To make it even, let's HYPOTHETICALLY say that their peak is ~20, or even before they had their kids.

The whole reason Ena and Akito are in this world is because of a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 ass date Shinei and Shinomom had. I NEED to find the SS but basically Shinei took Shinomom on a camping date, and she said something along the lines of "well if it wasn't a good date, then you two wouldn't be here!"

That is 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 as hell!!! Clearly that D game was on point for Shinei

As for Harumichi, well not much information about him and his wife (as far as I know). Harumichi has 3 kids, so he was already giving those backshots to Toyamom already. He's rich too, so he (hopefully) treated his girl right. Harumichi is an older chap, so his peak was probably more tame. I like to think he's a more sophisticated man, so little to no 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 for my baby daddy...

As much as I wanna believe that Harumichi was a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴, Shinei was definitely more 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 in his 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 peak 👅 but I'm sure they were both handsome as they are now ngghh 🤤
