Dusting this account off for the first time in years. The baseless accusations being leveled at my moderator team and especially Nox are absolutely appalling. This is the end of the discussion. We do not invite comments on our unanimous decision as a moderator team. Our decision has not changed.

To our inklings and the inklings of the Shadow Flight who have stood by us, thank you. Your support means the world to us, and please know we are always going to do our best to keep you safe in the server. This is the first time in a very long time since I have been a moderator that we’ve had a significant incident, and I’ve been moderating this server for... coming on four years soon. I’m just sorry it happened at all.

Shadow Discord Drama - The Last Word

 For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Nox– Head Moderator of the Shadow Discord and Owner of it as of yesterday morning. I was the only active Moderator of the server until this drama came up. Since then, my other team members, Yang, Wolfy and Rammy, have stepped back up to the plate to help me out. There’s a good lot of you who have probably seen this post (x) or the following posts regarding this topic (x) (x) on dramarising-replacement in regards to some recent events in the server– specifically, the purposeful and eventual, subsequent refusal of adding a specific bot known as Pluralkit, which is made for folks with Identity Dissociative Disorder and Other Specified Dissociative Disorder, mostly OSDD-1. The user in question who made the proposal decided that they were going to make this whole issue public and give their piece on it.

I’m here to tell you what happened in the server and explain everything. Hold on to your hats, this is going to be a ride and a half.

Creating a Dragon Background

So I was having some fun and created a fun background creator for dragons. The base of this I borrowed from @mask-fr post that you can find here. 

First, going to roll to see if they are Magic (Divine or Arcane), Combat, or Skill type of Dragon. If both parents are of a particular Type (aka combat) add +4 to range.If the parents are different types, that type gets a +1. If neither parents have skill or lore use the base chart below:

For example Bob and Ann are both Combat type dragons. When rolling to see offspring potential the combat range is increased by 4 so its 1-8 Combat, 9-10 Magic and 11-12 Skill. Now if Bob is Combat and Ann is Magic the chart will look more like this: Combat 1-5, Magic 6-9, Skill 10-12.

Roll D12:

1-4: Combat

5-8: Magic

9-12: Skill Dragon

Now to look at how well they are at that type:

For Combat Dragons:

Roll D20

1: The drive and the want to fight is strong but the dragon does not possess an ounce of skill as a combat dragon. Roll a d12 to see how many months the dragon lives before they are killed in combat.(Have to exalt)

2-4: Lowest Potential: sure they can handle a weapon but that’s about it. Suited more for small guard duties and such. No one has faith in this dragons combat skills.

5-16: Average Potential

17-19: Above Average Potential: A weapon in this dragon’s claw is truly a weapon. They are well versed in combat and tactic. Usually have higher positions in military and are highly respected.

20: Highest Potential: Bards write of the heroic deeds and skills this dragon has. The Weapon is them. This dragon can be a general, or any high ranking combative. (optional) Roll d6, on 1-3 due to their line of work this dragon never settles down and does not have offspring, on 4-6 they can if they want to.

For Magic Dragons:

Roll D20

1: Magic is soo unstable the Dragon cannot control it and will eat away at  the dragon. Roll d12 to see how many months the dragon will live before dying. (Have to exalt).

2-4: Lowest Potential: The dragon has the spark of Magic but that’s about it. Only capable of doing low levels of magic.

5-16: Average Potential

17-19: Above Average Potential: Magic sings in this dragons veins. Capable of doing high level magic.

20: Highest Potential: They are magic and magic is them. Are capable of doing great works of magic! (optional) Roll d6 on a 1-3 they are sterile and unable to reproduce, 4-6 able to reproduce.

For Skill Dragons:

Roll d20

1: The drive and passion to make and create is great but the skill is not there. Roll d12 to see how many months the clan puts up with the dragon/accidentally killing someone from a very faulty potion or item before kicking them out of the clan (can sell or exalt)

2-4: Lowest Potential: They got the basics down on how to make an item but that is about it. Not many dragons come to this one for items.

5-16: Average Potential

17-19: Above Average Potential: This dragon is known to make well made items. They can ask for more money because of how well they are at creating their craft.

20: Highest Potential: They are known as a Master craftsmen. Dragons travel far and wide to obtain and item created by this dragon. (optional) roll d6 on 1-3 they are more concerned with their craft than a family and does not have offspring, 4-6 if they find the time to have offspring they can.

From there you can then create your background and the type of dragon. You can tweek this however you like. Enjoy!

Coh-atl. The ��L” isn’t silent in Mexican indigenous languages but it doesn’t get emphasized at the ends of words like “coatl” because the “T” and “L” are said together. So like Quetzalcoatl but with next to no emphasis on the “L” the way most people probably say it
