If there is anything I have learned after spending three decades on this planet (and I can say that now, happy birthday to me), it's this:

Ask for help.

My anxiety, having been officially diagnosed and treated, is getting better and better as time goes on. The problem is, I've been suffering from these symptoms on-and-off for six years now - and I'm only just getting the help I've needed.

Asking for help sucks. Admitting that something is wrong sucks, confiding in someone sucks, and paying all that money sucks. I know, I'm in a front-row seat for all the suckage.

That being said, it is worth it. If you need help, if you feel like something inside of you is broken - PLEASE, seek help. If you don't know where to start, need help getting pointed in the right direction, or are worried about money/prescriptions/talking to a therapist, feel free to ask me - I don't care if it's been five years since we last talked, I just want to help.

It comes down to this: if you need help, do what you can to get it (even if it's scary).
