Get XKit.

I know that I had to turn off my Missing E just to answer asks (and the update pretty much made it all unuseable anyway), but XKit (free addon in Chrome, not sure about other browsers) has a lot of the same features and has been updated to work.

I’m including some of those features under the cut, which is what I’m using it for.

But it makes things a LOT easier to deal with.

I’m sorry I sound like an advertisement. I just feel like I should share.

He could hear the muffled noises of pain and he didn't blame the man. He didn't care to imagine how badly that must have hurt. But he didn't empathize. That was his problem. A strange one, for a psychologist. Time had taught him that empathy was overrated and best left for the weaker man.

"You continue to say that." Talking as though he didn't know exactly what this creature before him meant. Like he didn't recognize the teeth and eyes and hands and voice from his dreams. His waking nightmares. The back of his mind. "You're him, aren't you? My...'protector'." Oh, how he used that term loosely. No one had ever protected him. Not successfully.

“I don’t recall you ever watching,” He murmured, blue eyes shifting downwards to look at the childish creature before him. But the last time he had allowed his hands to get dirty…that had been years ago. And the failure still weighed so heavily upon his mind. When he would allow it to, anyway. It was so much easier simply not to dwell on it. Though things so rarely went according to plan.

This isn't going to make any sense to you, I'm sure, but the less cuddly you look, the more cuddly you seem. Some people see things like that.

Again with the physical contact. People just insisted on it. As far as Crane could tell, he was hardly the…snuggly looking sort of person. All limb and bone. And who would want to wrap themselves around that?

Apparently the answer was someone else as spindly as himself.

“This is fine,” He murmured beneath his breath; resigned to the fact that he had a large parasite in the midst of attaching itself to his spine. “I’m simply wondering why. What was the motivation behind this gift, mm?” His gaze was carefully and purposefully averted from the bound man before them. If he looked, he would analyze. And then…instinct would lead to having a bit of fun at the man’s expense.

“Tell me exactly why you felt the need to bring me a gift. Now, if you would.”
