every time I flip through dungeon meshi I notice new little details (SPOILERS)
so you know how Marcille ties Izutsumi’s scarf into a little bow, right?

well I JUST NOTICED there’s a couple chapters she has it undone. and it’s after they have a bath when Marcille is dungeon lord.

SO THEN I WONDERED. does it stay untied like that all the way til the end?

NO. IT DOESN’T.
AFTER THEY GET MARCILLE BACK, IZUTSUMI RESUMES LETTING HER TIE HER SCARF BOW. 😭💕 that’s so stupid cute

I was looking at Ryoko Kui’s new art and thought, “that’s weird, why would she add a gap in the armor in such a vital spot?” It’s meant to mimic the inverse scale being the dragon’s weak spot ,,,, amazing

here's some of my headcanons for the Tallman AU. I am SO picky modern aus because I feel like they almost never take canon dynamics into account enough, so I tried to do that as much as I could!!!
The main reason it's a tallman au is because I needed Izutsumi and Chil's daughters to go to the same school and I wasn't invested in the worldbuilding enough to figure out the logistics of how school would work with races that age at very different rates. also the existing tallman designs are fun lol

Something I like about dungeon meshi is that Falin's resurrection is never treated like a bad thing. Sure it was "forbidden magic" and Marcille TECHNICALLY committed a crime, but the story is pretty clear that these are just laws created by people, and that that doesn't make it inherently immoral. There's never any implication that Falin was "supposed to die" or that "it was her time." The narrative says that Falin continuing to live is unambiguously a good thing. That Marcille made the right choice in wanting Falin to keep living. It was a pure act. Unlawful, but good.
