adrien’s brows furrow from where he’s sitting in her desk chair,  curious,  at the sudden conversation starter.   the good memories of high school make him feel a tiny bit lighter,  even if just for a moment while he thinks about lunch time talks,  stories of nat and her lavish lifestyle;   back when the most he had to worry about back then were low test scores.   “  how could i forget  ?  ”   he watches her fondly as she moves across the room,  “  you told us all about how you had a pool and everything.  ”   his features soften when his best friend reaches over to him.   as much as he’s not quite in the mood to dance around like they did when they were kids,  he never can refuse her of anything.   besides,  he’d be lying if he said he didn’t want to think about the good times for once.   so,  he stands,  tiny grin on his features as he goes towards her, gently taking a hand as he spins her around.   “  so why the little trip down memory lane  ?  ”

      ———   𝑺𝑯𝑬  𝑪𝑨𝑵  𝑻𝑬𝑳𝑳  𝑯𝑬  𝑫𝑶𝑬𝑺𝑵'𝑻  really  want  to  dance  but  appreciates  that  he  makes  an  effort  regardless.  the  song  is  upbeat  &  she  sings  along  to  the  lyrics.  “  i don’t know . . .  ”  natalia  doesn’t  want  to  tell  him  the  real  reason  out  of  fear  the  mood  would  get  depressing  ---  which  it  inevitably  would.  she  intertwines  their  fingers  and  begins  swinging  their  arms  from  side  to  side.  “  it’s just nice to think about it, y’know ? it makes me happy.  ”  which was  true.  nat  couldn’t  help  but  smile  when  she  thinks  about  the  three  of  them  sitting  at  their  lunch  table.  as  if  her  iphone  knew  they  were  talking  about  memories  . . .  the  songs  shuffle  &  lands  on  a  song  the  three  of  them  used  to  listen  to  on  repeat.  “  oh come on  -- what are the odds of that ?  ”  natalia  says  ,  a  bit  of  fear  in  her  chest.

marnie gratefully accepted the coffee, taking an eager gulp before setting the cup down on top of a box. “ you really are total wife material — you should get that on a plaque. ” she grinned teasingly at her friend, stretching her arms out before her body seized from all the lifting. “ daddy dearest did offer up a team to do it for me, but of course i put on my strong, independent woman act & denied myself the help of professionals who probably could’ve had this done by now. ” a slightly exasperated sigh pushed past glossed lips, hands landing on her hips. “ there are some plans on the desk for the displays  — take your pick. ”  

       ———   𝑵𝑨𝑻𝑨𝑳𝑰𝑨   𝑺𝑴𝑰𝑳𝑬𝑫 ,  𝑵𝑶𝑫𝑫𝑰𝑵𝑮   in  agreement  --  she  really  is  wife  material  and  yet  ?  no  one  is  wifing  her  up.  her  eyes  seem  to  automatically  roll  as  she  hears  marnie  mention  her  father  ;  she  didn’t  dislike  him  or  anything.  just  didn’t  like  the  fact  that  he  seemed  to  think  his  daughter  wasn’t  capable  of  doing  anything  on  her  own. “  eh -- it’s more personal that you’re unpacking everything.  ”  this  store  was  in  her  mother’s  honor  :  it  makes  sense  for  her  to  do  the  work.  nat  shuffles  her  way  through the  boxes  &  takes  a  peek  at  the  display  plans.  “  wow. this place is going to be fuckin’ awesome.  ”  she  begins  picking  up  boxes  &  taking  out  whatever  is  inside  them. “  how have you uh . . . been feeling lately ?  ”  a  bit  of  a  sensitive  question , she  thinks ,  but  natalia  genuinely  wants  to  know.

@hazelived​​​       ———    𝑻𝑯𝑬   𝑮𝑰𝑹𝑳   𝑯𝑨𝑳𝑭-𝑯𝑼𝑵𝑮   𝑶𝑭𝑭   𝑯𝑬𝑹   bed   &  looked  at  adrien  upside  down.  “  remember in high school when i used to tell everyone my family was stinkin’ rich and i lived in this luxurious home ?  ”  asked  natalia ,  simply  wanting  to  start  up  a  conversation.  she  let  out  a  laugh  before  leaning  up  &  sitting  on  her  bed  ,  still  facing  her  best  friend.  a  small  sigh  escape  her  as  she  got  up  from  the  bed  and  walked  towards  her  dresser  where  her  iphone  laid.  she  turned  on  her  favourite  song  before  reaching  her  hands  towards  adrien.  she  jumped  up  and  down  ;  a  smile  wide  on  her  lips.  she  felt  as  though  they  were  in  high  school  again . . . before  everything.

marnie’s head turned towards the sound of the bell, indicating that the door to her still half empty boutique had opened. “ oh, i’m sorry ! we’re not actually open yet - i’m still setting everything up. hence the half painted wall & stacks of boxes. i really should’ve locked the door behind me… ” she trailed off, realising that she was beginning to ramble. “ what can i do for you ? ”

born  &  raised in hail  by kiana  &  lorenzo ;  middle child of 3. 

her childhood was . . . . interesting to say the least. natalia was always so different from her other family members ; she often thought she was born into the wrong family

she started working the second she was old enough because she knew she would never get even a dollar from her parents  &  decided to start saving up some money at a young age

her parents were sO jealous of the money she’d gotten throughout her adolescence. they’d even go as far as to try stealing from her which really pissed her off

despite her relationship with her parents being ROCKY, natalia is actually quite close with all of her siblings. so much so that they would all sneak out together when their parents went to sleep

school was ... tough. especially high school. natatlia knew she could never bring any of her friends ( or lovers ) home sO instead she decided to come up with this fake story. fake luxury, fake backyard pool, fake loving parents. i mean… she did have the attire to show for it  &  make it seem real

she somehow never got caught  &  lived out the fantasy until she graduated high school  &  moved out on her own.  she had saved up millions at that point  &  was able to move into a proper home and buy her very first pets  :  3 fancy rats named  rue, boomer  &  meena

when the fire started, natalia was out of town on a lil vacation with her best friend and found out the news when she landed  &  was on her way back home. she lost both her parents and numerous friends  /  loved ones

AFTER THE FIRE  +  REBUILDING

she definitely regrets going out of town when she did because she somehow feels like she could’ve saved her parents ??

was very excited to get back into stripping once everything was rebuilt  &  was even extra excited to see her boss and coworkers

currently lives in an apartment with a roomie but is currently looking for a house that looked similar to her old one ( cause she looooved that house  &  was HEARTBROKEN to hear + see it burned )
