personality.

she is personable, but in the same sense slightly quirky. she likes to envision things outside the norm, and it shows in just about everything she does. however, that’s blythe. though she can be a little odd, she is pretty sensible and tends to relate a lot of things back to the many books she’s read . yet, she’s pretty much a hard nut to crack, as she was always taught to never wear her heart on her sleeve ... which seems to comes back to bite her in the ass every time. regardless, she can hide her feelings and emotions well unless provoked, which can tell a lot about a person.

before the fire.

she lived in hail since birth but is anyone every keeping track ? she was the little girl who ran around in her older sister’s clothes and her father’s work shoes. she was the one that believed that unicorns were real till the age of ten, when her dad bought her george mcfluffin wiggle bottoms. yeah, don’t give a ten year old a girl a horse that you claimed was a unicorn ... she ends up coming up with names like that. regardless, living on the edge of town, there wasn’t much for a view but her fathers farm and some neighboring houses. it was home for her, and home was always where the heart was. 

the day of the fire.

she could remember the smell of burning wood and the sounds of their farm animals crying out. could she have imagined that someone would set their barn on fire ? no, but to watch it go up in flames felt like knives at ones heart. it was their main source of income and to see it go up in flames weighed heavily on them. her father and brother were the ones to rush in and out to try and save as many animals as possible. however, the fear grew when her brother rushed in to save george. the plan was to exit from the back, leaving enough time for them to get through. yet, neither, her brother or george, emerged. by the time the fire trucks got to their residence, her and her father were already trying to shuffled through debris hoping for a miracle that day. a miracle never came, as her mother and sister were the ones that found george ... and assumed what happened to george happened to her brother. there was no evidence, but simply burned pieces of his flannel shirt and some belongs of his that didn’t perish in the fire as much.

her childhood was . . . . interesting to say the least. natalia was always so different from her other family members ; she often thought she was born into the wrong family

she started working the second she was old enough because she knew she would never get even a dollar from her parents  &  decided to start saving up some money at a young age

her parents were sO jealous of the money she’d gotten throughout her adolescence. they’d even go as far as to try stealing from her which really pissed her off

despite her relationship with her parents being ROCKY, natalia is actually quite close with all of her siblings. so much so that they would all sneak out together when their parents went to sleep

school was ... tough. especially high school. natatlia knew she could never bring any of her friends ( or lovers ) home sO instead she decided to come up with this fake story. fake luxury, fake backyard pool, fake loving parents. i mean… she did have the attire to show for it  &  make it seem real

she somehow never got caught  &  lived out the fantasy until she graduated high school  &  moved out on her own.  she had saved up millions at that point  &  was able to move into a proper home and buy her very first pets  :  3 fancy rats named  rue, boomer  &  meena

when the fire started, natalia was out of town on a lil vacation with her best friend and found out the news when she landed  &  was on her way back home. she lost both her parents and numerous friends  /  loved ones

AFTER THE FIRE  +  REBUILDING

she definitely regrets going out of town when she did because she somehow feels like she could’ve saved her parents ??

was very excited to get back into stripping once everything was rebuilt  &  was even extra excited to see her boss and coworkers

currently lives in an apartment with a roomie but is currently looking for a house that looked similar to her old one ( cause she looooved that house  &  was HEARTBROKEN to hear + see it burned )

personality.

aliza is pretty down to earth. however, anything can go with her, as everything since the fire has changed her mentally. she suffers from anxiety and depression, and the very idea of happiness scares her. she seems well off to most people, as if the very occurrence didn’t bring her to her knees. but, that is her way of coping she is okay. she clings on to her independent nature, as that is the only thing that keeps her sane. however, most of the time she is in her head or just seem secluded in appearance. 

before the fire.

aliza was originally born in maine, since that’s the place where her family first became whole. her mother dropped out of school after having her older brother ( connection ? ) and her father worked a desk job at a local law firm till it shut down. they thought a change of scenery would be the best way, as staying in maine wasn’t apart of their plan. they moved to hail when aliza was just five and lived there since.  her father got a job as a local firefighter and her mother was a waitress @ the local diner. however, ten years later her passed due to cancer, putting a strain on their small family. they lived a rather decent lifestyle after her passing, as her father was so wrapped up in his job to be that involved in their life ( well that’s how she saw it ). still, she looked to her older brother for the support that any older male family member would give and that’s how she got by. 

the day of the fire.

she had gone to a party the night before and came home to an empty house. obviously, nothing spiked concern til the smell of gasoline and burning wood alerted their dog. it was 4:37am, and half the herring home was in flames. she tried grabbing everything that valuable, but a few things were left behind to perish in the flames. with the help of a local neighbor ( connection? ) who helped her escaped, she didn’t expect that fate would have it’s own way of tormenting her. her father went into that burning house, believing she was still inside. never did she feel so guilty to watch their home go up in flames, but to hear that her father went in and never came back out ? was even more of a blow. she watched her home burn to the ground, and soon after majority of their town. 

after the fire.

she moved back to maine, living with her aunt for the next six years. she attended a community college but never got passed her associates degree. it always seemed she was moving in the opposite direction when she wanted to move forward. after hearing that hail had finished reconstruction, she never thought about moving back but maybe closer is what she needed. their family home rebuilt with minor changes to its foundation and structure. however, she refuses to live there, as it only holds memories of a past she soon hopes to forget. 

connections.

older brother   /    before the fire they were inseparable and now they are almost like strangers in their family home. they share a roof, but it seems aliza has changed ever since the fire. she keeps her distance from him, but that’s because she blames herself for losing their father. however, he doesn’t know about her current condition. ( m ? )

next door neighbor  /  they were the ones that helped her out her back window when their herring house went up in flames. she thanks them but at the same time seems to resent them. she lost her father that night and if she was there they could have both survived or died. ( f/m/nb ? )

close friend & best friend  /  they are the ones that stuck by her side since she moved to hail and have been with her since the fire. obviously, there is some strain in their relationship, with her losing both her parents. however, they have never left each other’s side in the toughest of times. (  00 / 03 ; f/m/nb ?  )

old flame  /  you guys were in love and promised each other forever, but the fire took that away from you along with the old aliza. she is so different from her past self and it seems to have hindered both of your feelings for each other. still, there is a little flame but that flame seems to burn so low. is there any way of you guys rekindling or is just time for it to end ? ( f/m/nb ? ) 

friends with benefits  /  you guys first started off as friends and eventually became more. however, you made an agreement that there would be no strings attached. it seems to have worked out for the best, as you guys have stayed in contact even after the fire in hail, north dakota. ( f/m/nb ? )
