since i study a lot of german lately, i could write much more about it, phonetics especially, i fuckin love phonetics, but idk if anyone’s interested in this. also it’s still hard for me to translate everything into english, i cannot even understand it in my native language, so i could for example write it all in simplified russian. or if anyone even one person wants to hear something about it all it would be great practice for me to translate it all (and use some english finally)

please PLEASE tell me if someone is interested

I was reading something funny in German and I showed it to a friend and they were like ??? before I remembered they don’t speak German.

russian slang word of the day

соря́н is a russian slang word, which originated, as you might guess, from english sorry and which means the same.

as it was said before, it's a slang word, so it's mostly used by the young people, teenagers and kids.

also, you can't say just сорян in a serious situations, it's just an apology for awkward/not serious situations

some examples in memes I found on VK and tweeter:

I’m finding it more and more important to understand spoken Finnish, to be able to understand people and watch shows etc.

Eikö becomes Eiks Eikö sinulla ole omaa? - Don’t you have your own? Eiks sul oo omaa?

Sinulla becomes sul ole becomes oo Miksi sinulla ei ole sukkia? - Why don’t you have socks? Miks sul ei oo sukkia?

The verbs mennä and tulla changes as follows:

Minä menen - Mä meen Minä en mene - Mä en mee

Sinä tulet - Sä tuut  Sinä et tule - Sä et tuu

Sinun becomes Sun Minä lupaan olla sinun. - I promise to be yours. Lupaan olla sun.

Että becomes Et (This one is kind of confusing because “et” is also the negative for sinä, so you have to look for the context on whether it’s short for ETTÄ or not) …, että sinä muistat sen. - …., et sä muistat sen.  

Minut becomes Mut  (This is also confusing because I think “mut” is short for “mutta”, but it’s often the puhekieli version of minut) Sinä haluat minut. - Sä haluat mut. 

And while we are here the verb haluta can also change really it could become: Sinä haluat minut. - Sä haluut mut.

Puhekieli for 1st, 2nd 1st - ensimmäinen - eka 2nd - toinen - toka 

At the moment, it’s super hard for me to tell what is commonly used spoken Finnish, and what is commonly random slang or sounds totally ridiculous! But these are just a few cases I’ve noticed.

I'm a 17 years old Transylvanian girl and I love to learn languages, right now I'm concentrating on Russian, but I'm also learning Romanian, German and English. I don’t know if this can help, but you can listen to and read to news in swedish on this site for free. It’s a section of https://sverigesradio.se/ where they speak more slowly and with an exact transcription for beginners! i really like it because they talk about actual and different news every day and i can practice dictation without having to pause every two seconds. An audio lasts for about two minutes, maybe even less. 

Also, if you have more practice, you can go to https://sverigesradio.se/ and listen to the normal podcasts and radio news, which also have the text but it’s more of a summary.
