"jihu." rowon wasn't oblivious to the fact that his half-brother lives in the same building. he always knew that there was a chance of them running into each other, that crossing paths was an inevitability that he had to prepare for. but did he ever prepare for it? no, in typical rowon fashion he instead chose to ignore the problem, letting it drag on in silence behind the scenes until he's face to face with the golden child, daddy's favorite, living in luxury through no effort of his own while rowon has had to work his ass off for every little thing he can now call his own. resentful doesn't even begin to describe the ugly feelings bubbling up in him at the sight of is half-brother's face. he just finds himself grateful that they don't actually look much alike.

mostly, rowon just hates that this damn district is so small that he can't go anywhere without running into someone from his cursed family.

"if dad has something to say about me being on medical leave from n.e.p.a, i don't want to hear it." he's defensive immediately, primed for a verbal confrontation if not a physical one. rowon may be an enhanced agent now, and jihu still a student at pinnacle, but he's never been able to beat his half-brother in a one on one fight. he would know; their father certainly made them spar often enough. it's not fucking fair that not only is jihu blessed with a power their father actually cares about, but he's taller, with a naturally stronger frame. as much as rowon's trained his own body, some things just can't be made up for. "and no, i don't need money. i wouldn't take anything from either of you anways."

he wants to push past the other man, to continue down the hall without any further interaction. but rowon knows better than to assume that life will give him what he wants. he's never had luck that way.
