HI tumblr friends!!!
This week we have been working on our own projects and I decided to find and create photos that emulate an Instagram we that inspires me named Lauren bath. Her photos are usually bright and colorful and often times of an animal or scenery. I love these because they are so natural and calming to look at. I looked in my camera roll for photos that I took in the Galapagos, that’s emulated Lauren’s style and Edited them to make them brighter and more cheerful. I have also been working with Georgia on Polaroid transfers but that will be in my next blog!

Hi tumblr FRIENDS!!
I know it has been a while and that’s because I had the flu🙁 but I’m back and what better way to start the week than with a little bit of editing. This week we started using iPhones to shoot photos and then Snapseed to edit them. Up top I have two before and after photos I took with my phone and then edited to make them even better!!

HEYYYY Tumblr friends!!
This week and last week we worked on creating gifs and multiple layer photographs basically making clones of ourselves from different frames captured. This was so fun to do and also tedious because when making the picture with multiple versions of myself I had to keep selecting and reselecting myself and Jhaydan but in the end it looked really nice. Overall I learned a lot more in photoshop this week and I am excited to start a new project!!

ISN’T IT GREAT!!! this was the big surprise i have been waiting to show you all.
Hi Tumblr friends this is what I have been working on all week, trying the find the perfect cover photo is hard. With lots of photoshop and editing I finally created my ideal magazine cover for BARK magazine (can you tell I love dogs?). I am excited about the way it turned out. It was a little hard trying to make the dog look realistic in my lap (I know it still looks fake. Yikes!) but I think it gets the point across that this is a magazine about and for dogs!! Thanks for reading friends I cant wait to let you all in on what we are doing next week .

Hey Tumblr friends!! IT HAS BEEN WAY TOO LONG<3 this week we had a project which took me a long time to complete so I couldn't blog my results last week. we first had to use photoshop to create surreal photos. This was super fun and enjoyable because it gave me and my peers room to think WAY outside the box and do something crazy. Then we worked on the second half of the project which was land art. This is were we basically went outside and made creations with natural resources. this was also fun because I looked a lot closer at nature and noticed beauty I had never seen before. Cant wait to see all you guys next week with a new project. XOXO EM
comment down below a dream you once had so I can create and interpret it in photoshop?

Hey Tumblr Friends!!
this week has been probably the most fun and creative week I have had in photography all year. We got to choose a theme of artwork or photography that was popular in the past and shoot photos that reflected that theme. I chose Dadaism. This is an artistic movement that started around World War I. Its purpose was to make fun of the meaninglessness of the modern world. My photos defy expectations and one might say they are ridiculous. We learned so many new things about photoshop which really helped make my photos spectacular. Overall this week was full of learning new things and i cant wait to out my new editing skills to work. catch y'all next week

Hey Tumblr friends.
Its been a while since we've spoken!! first I must tell you it has been quite a wild week. I was so busy preparing my matted prints for the winter exhibit and processing two roles of film that I forgot to blog oops. Many of my prints were from my life in America roll of film. That roll of film was by far my favorite as I feel like it really captured the essence of America. The exhibit looked really nice with everyone displaying their best work. SO PROUD OF MY FELLOW CLASSMATES.

Hey Tumblr friends!!
late once again but today I have a lot to show and share with you. Last week we shot a new role of film this time they were portraits. Mine is of Jackie (thanks Jackie for modeling for my pictures). We were required to take some vertical and horizontal photos and some photos with the white or black background in the photography room. The tricky part of this whole process was making sure our photos were not blurry. Some of mine came out a bit fuzzy which was a bummer but for the most part, the way my pictures turned out was exactly how I wanted them too. Another tricky part was finding interesting backgrounds and objects for Jackie to pose with and in front of. Overall this was a super fun role of film to shoot because it allowed us to be really creative with what we did and think outside of the box.
comment down below which photo I should develop next!!

Heyyy Tumblr,
Thanks to my loving and devoted fans for sticking with me as I blossom in the photography process. This was such a fun and full week of learning. We got to take new photos last week and then we developed them and some turned out perfectly while others were a little overexposed. We learned new techniques to manually “photoshop” our photos. (ex. Dodge and burn) and I put old techniques to use like using contrast. I enjoyed taking motion shots and seeing how they turned out. As you can see above the hair of my friend Georgia is caught mid-air as she is flipping it. This is possible because we put our shutter speed up so that it is really fast and we can capture a movement in its tracks. This set of photos was ore fun for me to develop because i took moe photos of people instead of inanimate objects.
thanks for staying tuned!!

Hello Tumblr!!
How has your week been? comment below what your favorite blog post of mine has been so far. This week was by far the most fun for me. At the beginning of the week, we did enlargements of our film. That's basically when you alter the size of your image to make them bigger. Then today we worked with contrast which made my photos a lot sharper and the small details became more visual. Overall it was a super fun week of perfecting my skills in the darkroom and learning some new techniques to make my photos the best they can be.
until next time XOXO

Hi, Tumblr!!
oof I'm super late this week with my blog whoops :/ last week we were given cameras in which we inputted black and white film into and we went around our school campus to take 36 photos. For each photo we took there were three of that kind, one that was underexposed, one that was overexposed and one that was just right. After we were done taking our photos we had a lesson on how to take our film out in pitch black in the dark room in order to begin the process of developing our film. It took a long time but I finally wrapped all my film around the plastic spool (in pitch black). After that, my partner and I dipped our film in developer, fixer and perma wash, this made it so that our photos could be exposed to light. Overall, it was a super fun week and I can't wait to upload my post for this week. I have some exciting things to show you guys.
Until next time XOXO.

Hi tumbler, in photography class last week we had the pleasure of creating our very own cameras (as I said in my last post). I finally got the chance to take a picture with it. the first picture didn't turn out to well as you can see, it was supposed to be a self-portrait but I left it out for too long and one side of the picture was overexposed and the other side was underexposed. I took some time to check out the inside of my box and see what was going on but I couldn't find any holes. Since I hadn't found anything wrong, I wanted to try again, this time a picture of trees and a building. This worked much better as my box was in more of a shaded area and I left it out for exactly 2 minutes and it was perfect(only a little blurry).
