Although it may seem a benign statement, it has an unexpected addendum. When considered alongside american sit-com “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” the connection is clear. From the statement in the title, we can gather that the titular city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania must be a rich man’s world.

However, although we may have a clue about the whereabouts of this “rich man’s world,” we still have no lead on the mythical “scat man’s world.”

haha, I’ll take that as a compliment :) I’ve been drawing art of ocean liners since I was young, and I’ve come a long way, and this painting really makes me feel like I’ve improved a lot as a painter.

Here’s another picture, this time with different lighting. I’m bothered by how certain spots on the painting reflect light differently, so that’s a goal for the next painting :)

This isn’t really a question, but I came here because I recently stumbled back upon your Carpathia post and I wanted to share something with you. I’ve long been enamored by the story of the Carpathia, and your post had a lot to do with that. I’m not a very good painter, but for the final project for my painting class this semester I decided I wanted to paint the Carpathia on the night the Titanic sank because I was so moved by the story of it. The painting is “finished,” though because of time constraints during finals I didn’t have the chance to everything I wanted to. Nonetheless, I figured you’d appreciate the fact that your post helped inspire a painting.

I wanted to capture the cold of the night through the use of dark colors all over, but also capture the efforts of the ship by tinting it with warmer colors. I’m very happy with how it came out. Unfortunately, oil paint reflects a lot of light; I don’t feel like the photo does it justice.

amsterdam’s m52 metro line feels like a train line from an open world video game

first stop is “North”. last stop is “South”. it’s only got 8 stations. one of them is Centraal Station. The stations are spaced out enough that sometimes it passes locations it feels like it should stop at (probably a trick by the devs to make the city feel bigger).

Genuinely feels like it could have easily fit in a GTA game.

I am a ridiculously huge fan of the song “Oceanos” by the band Coast. Genuinely underrated song, it’s the most popular song by the band but still almost nobody knows it. And nobody knows about the sinking of the Oceanos, either, but I digress.

I wish I knew anything about making music, as I would kill for a sea shanty rendition of the song. Or just a cover in general.
