Playing Some DOOM & Other Stuff
I’ve been playing DOOM: Eternal when it came out and have 100% the game a few days ago. Since then, I’ve been playing it on Ultra-Violence without picking up the optional weapons and upgrades. As far as I know, the shotgun, the super shottie, the plasma gun, the BFG, and the ballista are given as part of objectives or cutscenes. One thing I might’ve accidentally picked up is the rocket launcher, but I don’t know if I could’ve avoided that one.
Last night I told myself to check out the demos for the Resident Evil 3 Remake and the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Funnily enough, I got both RE2R and FFXV when they were on sale a couple months ago.
So... RE3. First off, Nemesis is goddamn terrifying, more so than Mr. X (gon give it to ya) ever was, in my opinion. Secondly, the game looks really good, with the specular highlights, the dark atmosphere, subtle reflections. I spent around half an hour in the demo just looking at the environment and how detailed it was. The other half was me shooting zombies and getting killed by Nemesis, twice. Overall 9.5/10, too much water.
Now onto FF7R. FFXV is the only FF game I’ve ever played. Well except for that Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer game. Anyway, the mix between ATB and modern video game combat (I don’t know what else to call it) is pretty interesting. It was a little weird at first, but by the boss battle I got used to it. Oh yeah, the graphics. It looks quite nice, especially in the first interior. But the framerate leaves something to be desired, although I am a PlayStation pleb. Overall 8.1/10, can’t aim and move at the same time.

A Totally Original First Post
I guess I exist here now. Is this how it feels? I’m getting tired. I’m going to sleep soon. Night, night.
