It’s more likely than you think!!!!

Apparently the old 2006 Pucca cartoon is on Netflix now. I’ve seen a lot of shock and awe about it online these past couple days. Talk about a blast from the past????

Pucca was one of the biggest most popular stationery characters growing up. She was definitely part of that Hallyu wave going on in the early oughts, right up there with Mashimaro and all those other Korean icons. In my neighborhood (in all the SoCal Korean-American neighborhoods) stationery was a Big Deal from elementary to middle school. I was always pretty loyal to my boy Keroppi but I had my fair share of Pucca merch too. I even had a pillow of her when I lived in my grandfather’s Buddhist temple. Never was a fan of the show, but hey, Pucca stood for KP and we supported her.

So I quickly spit out this illustration in about an hour and a half?? I dunno if I’ll post it on tumblr but here it is for y’all. Pucca and her soulmate Garu, a Korean-style Chinese noodle (jjajangmyeon) shop girl and a ninja who is a ninja for literally no reason at all.

Watch out, dude, this chick is much stronger than you are and she looks ready for some smooching.
