Invisible Kid

Design Notes:

Mainly just his reboot look with a few added bits

Lyle has a plain design, but that’s just because he doesn’t want to be flashy

Easier to be a spy when you don’t stand out

His invisible self has blue lineart and translucent white body coloring

He can fade to be truly invisible, it’s just more or less a visual thing for the audience

That’s it I did every silver age legionnaire (excluding the supers because I’m lazy) this whole thing took a year to do (with breaks) I just wanted to get them all done so I could post them daily like this lol. I’m probably going to do a few bonus legionnaire designs and take a break before I tackle the Bronze Age legionnaires

Sun Boy

Design notes:

Dirk always gave me jock vibes like this guy definitely plays the 31st century equivalent of soccer/football

His uniform is very jersey inspired specially a soccer/football jersey with the asymmetrical stripe that a lot of jerseys have, with the sun emblem replacing a team logo

His hair is made to resemble a flame and can grow and get crazier when using his powers

His black eyes are from his reboot look

Design notes:

He’s the most muscular legionnaire

Very square and blocky shapes

Very much inspired by his reboot look

Saturn Girl

Design Notes:

Very inspired by her 2006 design

Slightly pink skin

I loved the pink streak is from her 2006 concept art so I brought it over to my design

Her Saturn earrings define gravity (because why not)

Her eyes glow when she uses her full strength

the real reason brainy invented flight rings X) he does not think this is a secure method of long distance travel. Kara is having a great time carrying her boyfriend around though

Cosmic Boy

Design Notes:

The classic bubble space helmet is a must

I headcanon that Bralians have a harder time breathing in other planets atmospheres due to a difference in air quality so Bralians were breathing devices when off planet, basically Rokk has like some sort of like space asthma

Anyway he’s got a standard silly space guy vibe despite the fact that he’s stressed 24-7

Chemical King

Design Notes:

He’s got a mild mad scientist theme with his design

With the lab coat and goggles

He also has some what messy hair to further the look

The white streaks in his hair are inspired by the classic white haired mad scientists

His hair turns whiter and messier the more he uses his powers

Shrinking Violet

Design Notes:

I tried to giving a fairy vibe to her

She’s purple because I say so

This design is mostly a mix of her reboot and 2006 designs

The pattern on her dress is meant to be arrows pointing down

Shrunk Vi has simplified eyes

Colossal Boy

Design notes:

Freckles!

He’s one of the more muscular legionnaires

Used square shapes to give a feeling of a big strong character

Designed him to ��look like a friend”

Karate Kid

Design notes:

Val was the legionnaire that gave me the most trouble for some reason

I’m honestly still not fully pleased with how I designed him and will probably come back and change his design again later

Mostly based off his original design

His collar pops slightly as an extremely tame version of his preboot redesign
