I think my main problem with Zutara shippers is the fact that they hate on Aang and Mai all the time. It's okay to ship Zutara (I personaly don't and I never saw them as a couple only as good friends but people can ship whoever they want) I just don't understand why do they need to hate on Aang and Mai and call them horrible things just because Zutara didn't end up together. Yes both Aang and Mai do have flaws (so do Zuko and Katara) but that's what makes all these characters realistic. There is no need to villainize Mai and Aang because Zutara didn't happen. I think if there was a different storyline where Aang and Katara never feel in love and she started to feel something for Zuko, Aang would actually be supportive. If Katara was only his friend I don't see why he wouldn't support her to follow her heart. After all Aang was the one who wanted to be friends (yes he, not Katara) with Zuko even in season 1. So I think he would support them in different storyline but that's not the case. And that's okay that doesn't mean he or Mai villians. And no Zutara was never supposed to happen, writters said it was an idea (just like there was idea for show to be set in future, and for Momo to be a robot). But neither of these things happened and it's not Aang's or Mai's fault so people should just leave them alone. Sorry for the long rant, but I really like your blog.🧡

All good. Zutara shippers and their reputation wouldn’t be so bad if they were actually normal about their ship. I never wanna hear they haven’t done anything bad like they haven’t been spreading misinformation in a way to justify why their ship should have been canon.

If you decide to go out of your way to lie on Aang and Mai cuz they “supposedly” got in the way of your ship then guess what YOU ARE A WEIRDO!

These shippers have such a massive victim complex whenever you call them out on their shit and it’s tiring after so many years of this.

people say katara was forced into being attracted to aang because of the fortuneteller episode but like,,, the message of that episode is that though fortunes may come true it's still up to the person to make their way to it? they literally reshaped the clouds together = reshaped their fortunes to get the outcome they wanted, it was their doing whether they believed the fortuneteller or not

a lot of the arguments against this ship are a result of lack of context and comprehension tbh
