“Spanish. I’m from Colombia,” she said, her accent heavier than usual: it felt good to talk to someone she didn’t feel the need to hide her accent anymore. And to one of her new idols, no less! “I- I never learned Ingl- English there. It’s been... kinda hard,” she admitted, sighing.

“... What was your first language, if it wasn’t English?”

“Yes, yes I am!” Nik, despite wearing a hoodie, conceded to her inquiry. After her short gushing, they placed a finger to their lips, and winked, “I’m undercover, so don’t tell anyone you saw me out in my PJs, okay?”

“What a coincidence though, English isn’t my first-language either. You speak it well though, so I’m glad my show’s been able to help you with that! Truly, I’m the one honoured. If you don’t mind my asking, is your first-language spanish then?”

“I’m still learning the language, but it sounded like you said, ah, was it Inglés?”
