((Honestly? Probably Orion. Because Orion’s Belt is the constellation I am always able to find in the sky and could first identify (even before either of the Dippers), so it’s kind of a comfort thing. But just having the Belt would be a little simplistic, so why not put the whole thing up?

Of traditional art mediums...I adore printmaking. Especially block printing. I do it almost never, and can’t do more complicated things like reduction printing, but it’s such an adventure. It’s involved in a very engaging way. I love it.

Least favorite...okay this is gonna involve a little story time.

I think it’s safe to say oil painting would be my least favorite. I don’t have the patience for it, and there seem to be so many safety precautions for all the dangerous chemicals involved. I have massive respect for oil painters, but it’s not for me.

That being said, oil painting is only my least favorite from an application standpoint. Oil painting as a medium holds a very special paint in my heart. See, I was lucky enough to grow up knowing my great aunt (as in, my mom’s aunt), who was a rancher and a painter. She was so diligent, and kind-hearted, and eclectic, and I loved her so much. She died last year around this time, and I didn’t get to go to her memorial service because it was out of state during a very busy time.

As you might image from that preface, her main media was oil painting. And her work was so beautiful. She actually taught me how to oil paint when I was 11, and gave me some of her materials that I still have (although I don’t imagine they’re good anymore). I didn’t stick with it, obviously, but she still always encouraged me to pursue any media that caught my attention. So oil paints and oil painting make me think of her.

Okay, we’ll move on now.

One I haven’t used...I’ve dabbled it in a little to make jewelry, but I really, really want to learn how to work with resin. It just has a lot of applications, including costuming, and seems fascinating.

Finally, I think doll customization is one of the coolest things ever. One of my TAs and I discussed it a lot during summer, and she introduced me to a yt channel about it, fueling my fascination. It’s just...so involved. You use so many different mediums and techniques, and you have to do it on a delicate scale.

I painted a few dinosaur figurines about a year ago (and started on an Indoraptor POP! figure), but it didn’t really go anywhere. If I had the space, money, patience, and focus, I would love to try coll customization, including with BJDs.))

     OOOH YEEEEEEESSSSS. Good question cause I LOOOVE introducing people to this genre!

     Jax is into EBM. Preferably the more heavier version of it but he enjoys all aspects of the genre.

     Most people don’t know what EBM is though! I will tell further for all those unknowing~

     Picture trance crossed with metal. It can be gentle to heavy. Like balads to screamo heavy. It’s a very broad genre.

     Jax prefers the heavier stuff like Wumpscut [click] and Combichrist [click] but then he also likes the more gentle things like And One [click].

     To him the heavier the song the better. His favourite song is Wumpscut - War. He just really enjoys the heavy tunes and the feel the music brings. Like he can actually feign feeling anger for a moment which is something he needs.

     When he was a paramedic and on his breaks he’d listen to all these EBM songs about war and death and just be smiling on the outside, all chill. But in his ears? Yea, screaming death songs.

My Opinion on...

The character in general: For as obsessed passionate as I am about the character now, I had little to nothing to say about him when I originally played both GSC and HGSS. It wasn’t until I was commissioned by a very spoiled young lady friend that I ever really gave him the time of day. When I first started writing him, it felt more like taking an empty shell and filling it with what I wanted rather than what I felt fit his character, but I’ve fallen in genuine love with him since replaying the various games he’s featured in and he is certainly a favorite nowadays. How you play them: I would to preface this with the fact that you and I have talked at length about the awful attitude I had about your Archer when you first joined the community and I confess I never really gave him a chance other than a cursory (and unfairly judgmental) glance at your bio page at the time. Having dislodged the elitist stick from my derriere since then, I’m so happy to have a chance to write with and see your Archer in action. He’s different on so many levels and it took me much longer than it ought to have to get over the rigid expectations I had for the character and I simply delight in the way you write him. It’s a nice change of pace to see him and unexpectedly wind up with old favorite songs stuck in my head as I browse the dash from time to time. You, the Mun: Looking back, I want to kick myself for ever having robbed us of the friendship we’ve made since we finally started talking to one another. I’m sorry it took the hardship that it did to reach such a point, but I’m genuinely grateful for the chance to know you now. You are such a friendly, supportive, talented person and I enjoy all of our discussions very much.

((I try every so often, and I’ve gotten better at laying in bed and closing my eyes, but napping has always been difficult for me, even as a baby. I’m just too anxious about wasting the day, I guess. But even if I don’t fall asleep, laying in bed for a little does help recharge.))

👍 - If you knew you couldn’t fail, what would you do?

((I really don’t know. Like, I’m trying to think of something, and honestly I don’t know. Maybe working in costuming or special effects? It’s like a creative little puzzle!))

🎥 - What movies have you re-watched the most number of times?

((Anastasia, hands down. I adore Anastasia-I’ve even made an Anya cosplay and worn it at NDK. I’m so glad I got to see the musical recently and I’ve been blasting the soundtrack in my car. That movie means the world to me.))

🍷- What is your favorite drink?

((Well, I don’t drink alcohol both because of taste and medications, but if we’re talking general things...passion fruit juice is amazing. My favorite favorite is actually this one lemonade that’s got passion fruit, prickly pear, and raspberry and it’s amazing, but no local stores seem to carry it anymore...))

{Unfortunately, I’ve lost a number of writing friends when it became apparent they were toxic, manipulative, or abusive. It’s difficult when someone has been a friend, especially a close friend, for years and suddenly you see them in a different light, but the loss hurts more for who I thought they were rather than for the person themselves. Thankfully, it’s a far rarer occasion nowadays.}

16. How much does it take for you to get angry/upset? How long does it usually last?

{It depends on the situation. When it comes to being a bother (or worse) to me, I can usually stand quite a lot before I even start to get testy. Condescension or outright belittling, though, are usually quick ways to earn my ire. When it comes to someone harming those close to me, on the other hand, it takes next to no time at all. I try not to let it consume me or dictate my behavior or actions, but there was some sort of misunderstanding, I’m not keen on forgiveness for mistreatment of others (even if the anger dissipates in a day or two).}

18. Have you ever felt like something off about someone?

{A few times. I’m afraid my “radar” for others is a little skewed. I may have bad feelings about someone due to a preceding reputation or a personal dislike for one thing or another, only to find I’m completely out of bounds and they’re a wonderful person I’m happy to have taken the time to know. In other cases, I get clear, inexplicable red flags about someone, assume I’m being unfair, and then go on to find out I was right. For that reason, I try not to let my judgment of others cloud my willingness to get to know them or interact with them as I would rather find out the hard way that I was right about someone than find out the hard way that I was wrong.}
