It's really encouraging to know so many people went through the same journey the same way though, you know? Like sometimes you come to feelings no one else did and you don't realize until you say them out loud in a group, and that's the worst time to have to go "...Just me?"
So nice to see people falling down the manhole as one not falling. I mean, it's because I'm in the manhole, but still
So I'm halfway through Gideon the Ninth and how come nobody has told me about Dulcinea?? She's so good, you'd think people would go bonkers over her

I know I've said it before but I won't stop shouting it to the rooftops, even my local library now uses Libby! And they add new books! It's amazing! Can't recommend enough! Ebooks and audiobooks!
Spoke to a gen z person the other night and apparently the young folks don't know about the very legal sites from which you can access public domain media (including Dracula, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and other Victorian gothic horror stories)?
Like this young person didn't even know about goddamn Gutenberg which is a SHAME. I linked to it and they went "aw yiss time to do a theft" and I was like "I mean yo ho ho and all that, sure, but. you know gutenberg is entirely legal, right?"
Anyway I'm gonna put this in a few Choice Tags (sorry dracula fans I DID mention it though so it's fair game) and then put some Cool Links in a reblog so this post will still show UP in said tags lmao.

Help, it's again
Long description, short question.
I have a lovely old parker fountain pen someone gave me ages ago when I bought a different pen. It's been sitting unused and unloved since the ink ran out.
I recently bought a bulk pack of universal converters. One fit very close. I did some minor damage to it to make it fit in the pen. Excitement! Filled it up. It works great. Here's where the problem happens.
The metal band around the converter Will Not fit in the barrel of the pen. It is metal. I am unsure how to remove it. I am (fairly) confident the rest of the converter will fit in the barrel without the metal band. If anyone has any suggestions I await with eager eyes/ears.
I do realize I could just buy a converter that would fit but that requires "money" of which I have none.

Can't help falling in love with this cluttered, maximalist apt. in Florence, Italy. It has 3bds, 4ba, 3,229 sq ft, $3,140,055. Part of the furniture , such as bookcases , shelving and bathroom furniture will remain to maintain the atmosphere of the property. The owner wants the new buyer to keep the look, so they're leaving some of the furnishings! That's dedication.
This is an office or study.
Look at this kitchen. The sink is made of marble.
Look at this bath. Wow. There's a sauna in here, too.
There's a lot of storage in the apt. Many built-in closets and shelves.
The items the sellers are leaving, that're specifically mentioned, are shelves. Maybe these?
This bedroom has such charm.
The bath is very nice. Looks fairly recently redone.
Here's a large bedroom that's surprisingly not cluttered.
This bath looks like it's open to a hallway and blocked off by a table.
The large apt. is divided down the middle by this hall. Look at all the shelving. I wonder if that beautiful stained glass door is the entrance.
This room not only has lots of shelving, but look at the storage above that reaches to the ceiling.
This is a lovely bedroom that may be the principle.
The last bath is very nice and has a wall of storage.
This looks like a sewing room where they make lamp shades.

Hate when you're in a church and you're like "does that monk look more vulpine than he should? I don't know, I don't want to bring it up, that might be rude..."

I'm not happy with this but I still spent a lot of time on it so y'all have to look at it.

I think the water based markers degraded the paper quite a bit, which did not help.
Tombow base, colored pencil detail, alcohol maker background (seems to tear less??? Weird)
Process pictures.
