Emby for Apple TV 1.7.0 Released - OSD Info Tab, Next Episode Playback This is the latest release of Emby for Apple TV. It's a small maintenance release, containing new OSD features and improvements as well as a fix to existing identified issues. New Information tab in video OSD. Emby for Apple TV 1.7.0 adds the information tab to the OSD (On Screen Display) as shown in the pics below. Next Episode Button near the end of episode playback. New to the Emby for Apple TV apps is the ability to jump to the next episode when watching TV Shows. You can set or adjust Next Episode functionality such as manual vs automatic use as well as showing information about the next episode from the playback menu in each app. Fix error when returning from YouTube trailer playback. Presenting the new Emby SDK

Background Plugins, extensions and integrations make an important part of the Emby ecosystem. Plugin development is open to everybody and many great plugins have been created by Emby community members. To show our appreciation for the great work and achievements of community developers, we took steps in order to improve in an area where we haven't done that well in the recent past: Developer Support. When talking about support, there are several different facets to evaluate and consider. We probably did fairly well when it was about responding to user questions - but not that much when it came to providing accurate and up-to-date information, documentation and code examples. Emby SDK It has been just about time to make a change to that and over the past months we have intensively worked on improving that situation. Emby For LG 1.0.37 Released With Many New Features

Emby for LG 1.0.37 features Intro Skip, Lyrics & RTL Support Embedded Lyrics Support for Music Files Emby now supports display of musical lyrics you provide. This doesn't require modifying your actual music tracks but is done using a text file residing next to the track! You can quickly and easily use a tool such as MediaHumon Lyrics Finder that makes quick work of adding Lyrics to your existing content. Rescan your music library and have this: This is a great new feature that's easy to implement, uses hardly any storage space (text files) and gives you great results! Here's another version of the same screen without the lyrics showing your current queue: Save Time with Emby's Intro Skip New to LG 1.0.37 is the ability to skip TV Show Episode Introductions segments. This allows you to jump right to the start of the action, saving a great deal of time allowing you to quickly get to the good stuff! Combine Into Skip with Automatic Play Next Episode for a superior binge-watching experience! Please see our blog post on Intro Skip setup and use on the server side: Configure Emby Client for Automatic or Manual Intro Skip Each client can be set to ignore TV Show Intros, automatically use Intros, or to prompt use showing a button. You can set this option in the client option's Playback Menu. Using Intro Skip With the Skip Intro button selected you can clearly see the button on the OSD immediately at the start of playback. The timeline is still at 0:00 before the show has started to play and we can already skip the introduction of the show. Clicking the Skip Intro button immediately jumps right to the start of the Episode. With the client option set to Automatically skip intros our TV show intros have been put on auto pilot. Right at the start of playback it jumps to the end of the intro right at the point of the fade in. Right to Left languages: Emby for LG 1.0.37 takes advantage of Emby Server's (4.7.6) support for right to left languages. Emby Server 4.7.11 Released

Emby Server 4.7.11 - New Intuitive TV Guide Improvements & Other Fixes This is the latest point release of Emby Server. It's a small maintenance release, containing improvements to existing functionality as well as a couple fixes for user identified issues. New Intuitive TV Guide Option Panel for Configuring the Display of Your Guide Data. 4.7.11 features a slick new way to quickly adjust the different options used for the TV Guide grid. Click the icon shown below highlighted by the yellow box. This opens a new panel where you can set over a dozen options including the sort order of channels, the channel groups (tags) you wish to see (or hide) as well as the data used in the far left column representing the channel. The rest of the options configure the information displayed with the program data. Setting the Channel Display to Title gives you this look in the first column. Emby for Apple TV 1.6.8 Released

Emby for Apple TV 2.1.6 Released - Skip Intro & Multi-Player Support This is the latest release of Emby for Apple TV. It's a small maintenance release, containing improvements to existing functionality as well as a couple fixes for user identified issues. Revamped video player with automatic switching between two player engines Emby for Apple TV 2.1.6 includes enhancements to improve video playback. One of the new enhancements is the Preferred Video Player in Playback settings. You can choose to set either MPV or the native player as the default or use the auto setting and let the client decide which player to use. Version 2.1.6 supports one of Emby's newest features that allow skipping the Into segments of TV Episodes. This feature needs to be enabled on the server for any/all TV Series Libraries. Emby Server will analyze all Episodes of each series to figure out exactly where the intro starts and stops recording this information in the database. Once each series is complete it's available on the client to skip. You can set this up on each client to work manually or automatically. You will see a skip into button on the display bottom right as shown in the following screen shot. The newest version of Emby for Apple TV sports an improved detail screen for media making it very clean looking and easier to use as shown in the following picture. We have revamped the interface and greatly improved the way you can sort media and interact with it. There are now many ways to sort your media collection to get different views. Emby Server 4.7.10 Released

Emby Server 4.7.10 - Library Improvements & LiveTV/DVR Fixes This is the latest point release of Emby Server. It's a small maintenance release, containing improvements to existing functionality as well as fixes for user identified issues. Improvements to Library Functionality Improvements have been made to library functions to reduce triggering events that don't need to be processed multiple times. This can reduce false RTM events, pulling subtitles, updating Trakt or other similar plugins as well as stop un-needed notifications from Webhooks and other notification plugins. This is done by implementing a delay before triggering new item additions until after the metadata has download and been processed. LiveTV/DVR Improvements and Fixes We corrected a translation issue that could sometimes print HeaderLiveTV instead of LiveTV on the home screen for non-English systems. Emby for Android 3.2.75 Released: Mini Sidebar & New OSD Features Requires: Emby Server 4.7 or later Emby for Android Version Changes: • New brightness control in video OSD • New lock screen feature in video OSD • New mini sidebar docking option • Voice input support on search screen • Various video playback fixes New brightness control in video OSD One of the new features added to Emby for Android is the ability to adjust the brightness of the video being watched. This new feature is easy to use. Just bring up the OSD and the brightness feature is all the way to the right as highlighted in the following picture. All you need to do is touch and slide the control up or down to brighten or darken the video. New lock screen feature in video OSD Tired of accidentally touching the screen and having the video jump to a new scene or doing something you didn't intend? The new lock screen will put an end to this when-ever you choose to use it. Simple click the lock button highlighted in yellow in the picture below to activate this. Any screen touches from this point on during the video will briefly bring up the following screen but do nothing else. In order to de-active this feature you would click the lock icon shown on the picture below, then click the confirm after that. This new feature is straight forward and very easy to use. New mini sidebar docking option One of the coolest features in this new release is the mini sidebar docking option. In order to access this, click the highlighted icon shown in the picture below. Now, click the following icon one-time. You will now have the mini sidebar open as shown below. The mini sidebar is scrollable so if you have more libraries then would fit on screen you can simply scroll this menu up or down to gain access to all libraries on your system. Voice input support on search screen Another great feature added to Emby for Android is the ability to use voice search. You can use voice search anywhere you see the microphone icon shown highlighted in the picture below. All you have to do is click the microphone button and then speak your search term. Emby Server 4.7.6 Released

Emby Server 4.7.6 - Multi-Select & Right to Left Languages This is the latest point release of Emby Server containing a couple new features as well as fixes for identified issues. Support shift to multi-select Newly added to 4.7.6 is the ability to multi-select. Instead of having to select each and every media item you can now select the first media item as shown below: then holding the shift key on your keyboard, select the top-left circle with your mouse on your end media item. In two quick clicks we now have 18 items selected in this example! Right to Left languages: 4.7.6 adds support for languages that display right to left. Here's an example Nest Hub view using the Hebrew language. You can Rewind, Fast Forward or Jump to any position in the timeline quickly and easily using our new seeking. Best of all, our new seeking combined with thumbnail graphics makes it easy to pin-point the scene you want to re-watch or queue up. The above pictures shows how easy it is to find a scene you want to watch. You even get the chapter name embedded in the thumbnail picture. Speaking of which, Chapters make use of our thumbnail graphics as well, with their own set of information and use of graphics. The above screenshot shows the use of Thumbnail graphics in our Chapter selector available from the easy to use OSD menu, and that's no bull. This screen demonstrates how easy it is to view the Name, Starting Time as well as Thumbnail showing the action taking place at the start of the Chapter. Improvement to Audio On Screen Display (OSD) You can now toggle the play queue on and off, allowing you to choose between seeing the list, or just the artwork. This change makes room for additional space needed for a new user requested feature that is quite popular. New Use of Graphics Elements This release of Emby for Samsung uses additional graphical elements in subtle ways that sure to please. It still has the classy interface you've come to love but uses additional graphics in a modest manner giving it an elegant and refined look. The screenshots above demonstrates this with a couple simple changes such as changing the title that was text to graphical. Additional useful information is now available right in the OSD besides the chapter shown above.
