I feel so bad for Terravox. He gets two vague outlines in the trailer about the Chrysos Heirs. He barely gets any in-game lore, certainly a lot less than everyone else. He gets mentioned once by Phainon, but no one else talks about him. And now I think he’s getting replaced

Look, I love Dan Heng, but is anyone else kind of annoyed? I was genuinely excited for Terravox. I had all these ideas based on how little we’d gotten, but now, I don’t think this game is going to give us anything more about him. At most, he might be mentioned as the potential heir that Dan Heng is replacing or something like that

It’s a few years old. I grabbed the side to move it—literally not that much pressure—and it just did this. Everything behind it is frozen. I can’t get it to turn off, either. The horizontal lines interrupting the red are moving. They look like they’re vibrating. It’s super quick. The laptop is a few years old

It’s also been having a problem where it won’t turn on until it’s at 100%, but that problem is manageable

The light shines even when the star is gone

I like a good story! Shall I go first?

Ok so I don’t really remember much from when I was a kid, nobody really knows where I came from or who my family is. But I remember the first time realised you can find family. It was not long after I’d met Tails…he declared me his big brother pretty quickly but to me he was just this nice kid who helped me on my adventures.

Anyway one day we’re fighting Eggman, as usual, and after we’ve sent him packing there’s still a couple of badniks left to take down. One of them gets a good shot at me and knocks me down, and with no hesitation Tails just…throws himself in front of me, arms and legs wide to make himself look bigger. Mind you he’s like…6. And I could have totally handled it on my own, but he’s standing over me and he’s shaking in fear and he just goes “Stay away from my brother!” *Sonic laughs, but it’s a bit watery.*

I had never had someone stand up for me before. This tiny kid has only known me for maybe a month and he’s willing to put his life on the line to protect me? I loved him in that moment, and he’s been my little brother ever since.

Anyway..your turn!

Alright.

Once, there was a star. The brightest star in the sky, who shone down on all the lands and brought light to the world. This star loved the world, and she brought warmth and happiness to the people her light shone on. Every day she played in the sky, and even though she was weak and far away she still wanted the world to have light and warmth.

One day the star met a beast, who was born in the shadows and only knew darkness and pain, and she shone so brightly upon him that he learned that his world did not have to be only filled with pain and misery- but that he could learn to care and love too. She taught him how to fly and they spent many days playing in the sky. He followed her light everywhere.

The star knew she was getting weaker, and she wished for the beast to share his love with the world one day, even though she knew she would never be able go down there herself. When the void called for her, she made sure to protect her beast and sent him off to the world below so he could share the love she had taught him to feel there.

But the beast, warped and confused and left in the dark without his star, was so blinded by his grief and anger that he forgot how his star had wanted him to love the world and instead he nearly destroyed it. But right when it looked like the beast would destroy everything his star had loved, a new star streaked across the sky and showed him that even though his star was gone her light still shone. This new star taught him that not only could he still find her light in the sky, that he could spread her warmth and light himself.

And the world was safe, and the light shone on, and the beast shared his own love and light with the world.

Bonus to part 5

As someone who has looked at a lot of the Sonic games scripts (the official English ones, since I don’t speak Japanese), there is one thing I have to get off my chest:

Some of these conversations make no sense. Characters oftentimes just say random stuff and get no acknowledgement, let alone a response

And if I’m being even more honest, a lot of the time it’s Amy

Like, I know that Amy needed to be on the ARK in SA2 in order to give Shadow the speech and also get damsel-in-distressed by Eggman. That’s fine. But damn, Sonic and Tails do not give a shit about her half the time. They constantly leave her behind with no instructions in that game, and it becomes apparent on the ARK when everyone is working together and she’s left to wander. They could have at least had Rouge or Eggman mention that Shadow is likely still on the ARK and Amy volunteers to look out for him, if not have Rouge outright ask Amy to

And then in Heroes (which, and is totally my opinion, they couldn’t have given Team Rose a little cooler reason to be there. Or even just have Amy be a smidgen more concerned about Cheese and Froggy. I’m not saying to take out how she wants to find Sonic. Keep that as the main motivation. Just a little more compassion towards her teammates)—anyway—in the Last Story, Amy tells Sonic that he can’t fight Metal… and no one acknowledges her. We just immediately move on to Tails and Knuckles saying they’ll help. We couldn’t have at least Sonic telling her not to worry or something?

It isn’t just Amy, tbf. A lot of these semi-older games (they’re like 20+ years old, can you believe it?) have rather wacky dialogue. Sonic talks about the power of teamwork so many times in Heroes. It’s a little cringe ngl, only a little

But what I mean is that these characters just say stuff sometimes and don’t need a response. Hey, maybe that’s what high-tier friendship looks like

And hey, me and my friends love the Superman movie. My first time, I went to see it with my grandma. She genuinely loved it, too, and she’s not a big fan of superheroes (or movies but only because she falls asleep easily. She did have to take a mid-movie bathroom break, but she didn’t sleep during it, so I count that as a win)

He'll also be competing in the latest title, "Sonic Racing Cross Worlds" ! We can't wait to see what kind of waves he'll shake up with his speed and pride!

However, the heat has been so intense lately that I've been feeling exhausted. I've been seriously hoping that Jet-sama would bring the legendary wind.

Ok, so I realized that with the pocket dimension, you probably don't need an infinite space box, but, the flowers you were recently given gave me an idea! After lots of time in my lab, and being forcefully dragged out to socialize, I may or may not have developed a technology to infinitely preserve an object, so take this vase that will keep those flowers from wilting forever!

Guess it sort of didn’t feel quite as real as the Death Egg before the whole ‘I’ll shrink your space if you don’t do this’. Like yeah we’re stuck in here, but it wasn’t so bad. Going a little stir crazy and not being able to run really is annoying, but we’re not getting hurt. Not that I want to be hurt! But it almost doesn’t feel much like a scheme.

But Eggman said there are more challenges coming and I don’t know if I want to find out how he’s going to make us participate. And it’s not fair on Shadow to be stuck doing things just because he tried to save my stupid ass from what was kind of obviously a trap.

But at the same time I’m glad he’s here! I don’t want to be on my own again! And I feel guilty for being glad he’s here. Who does that? Who feels better because their…friend is stuck in prison with them? Hell I don’t even know if we are friends. I can never tell with Shadow.

I like him, he’s fun to fight with - both in sparring and also when we team up. I like having someone who I don’t need to slow down for. And he’s got that dry humour thing going on. And he’s really good lo- I mean..he’s..yeah. Ahem.

I think he just finds me annoying, though.

Why am I even telling you all this? Guess it’s nice to get it off my chest.

he has retractable claws that are long and sharp like razor blades

his paw pads are rough and dry (like a dog's)

additionally, he has a couple old scars and cracks

he has blunt, brittle (non-retractable) claws that he trims regularly so they don't get in the way
