When you’re pointing out/interacting with people in the audience (ex. The Ms Peachery line) do you pick a random spot/audience member or is it a bit more consistent?

Oooo.

I would usually point to people I knew or recognized for Ms Peachery but if I wasn’t familiar with anyone, I would choose someone random. The tricky part was remembering who I would pick because I have to call out back to them later in the show. For things like where I was pointing before the Walmart scene, those would be pretty random. Sometimes I would pick people who were cosplaying RTC or wearing Saint Cassian uniforms as like a “I see you 😎” kind of thing.

Are there any lines that were hard to do without breaking? Ik when I used to read the script to friends there were always a few Penny lines I either had to pause before doing or had trouble not giggling through them 😭

There were only a few times I broke character, thankfully we got most of the giggles out during rehearsals. A few instances were

– There’s a scene where Ezra and Penny were talking to Border Crossing, and when Jeffery delivered the line, “Well, if you really must know…”—the way he said “Well” sounded like this weird mash-up of Jennifer Coolidge and Stewie from Family Guy. It was such a bizarre choice, we completely lost it.

– Another time, Jeffery and I messed up the order of the road trip scene. I was supposed to say, “Orlando, Florida…” and instead I blurted out, “Las Vangelous Cali-Orlando!!! The Golden—no, the SUNSHINE—AT LAST—JAZZ HANDS!”

- and then of course when Ray came I had to turn around a few times so I wouldn’t break.

I’m honestly so happy that people have their own interpretations of Jane Doe and Penny Lamb. I think that’s part of what makes her so special. For the longest time, there was no set way she had to look, and honestly, there still doesn’t have to be! I really love how passionate the Ride the Cyclone community is about her, I know she’s in good hands.

Someone in my question box asked me my theory on Jane Doe and how she might be connected to Penny Lamb, and honestly… I feel kind of indifferent but also intrigued. I personally think that Jane Doe was Penny Lamb before the Cyclone rather than her reincarnated and starting as Penny from Scratch. It just makes sense to me with how Legoland is structured. Especially when you hear that no one showed up to identify her like, Penny’s parents were in jail, and Ezra was just a kid.

I think it makes me sad too, to think that if Jane was reincarnated into Penny that she lives such a sad life after all that.

So yeah. Not reincarnated, just… a girl who lived, died, and was forgotten. Damn. That’s sad as hell.

I was genuinely so excited/nervous to share Legoland with you all, and it means the world to see how much you’re enjoying it. We truly poured our hearts into this show. I’m honestly shocked by how well it’s been received! We were actually supposed to film on a different day, but life happens so it’s funny how that day is the one that got released.
