She giggles - quite happily - as she sees the flower necklace on her new friend. She didn't even feel herself blush faintly as he fastened some flowers to her clothes. If they put enough on, she could perhaps smell as much like flowers as she looked like a flower!
"Why, thank mew!" she purred, gently brushing a finger along some of the petals that now adorned her body. She felt special like this - like a princess! - being all covered in flowers and happy.
Tea Party
“Oh, that will do marvellously!” He grins and takes the bowl, adding some of the sweetener mix into his tea. He stirs it and takes a small, analysing sip, nodding his head. “Ah, much better,” he lets out a loud, relieved sigh.
He keeps sipping his tea, humming loudly, eventually finishing his tea before opting for another type of tea. He pours himself some of the chamomile tea, adding more of the sweetener. “I am delighted about this tea party!”

She listened to him speak - finding she quite liked the sound of his voice - before raising an eyebrow slightly, thinking hard about what he could be referring to in terms of the smell. Taking a quick glance around, all she could conclude could be the fish - unless he meant her which would be extremely rude considering she thought herself to smell of flowers! - and relaxed back even more. If her suspicion was right, that meant that her food wasn't in any danger from this stranger.
She stepped away from the fish slightly - a little towards him, but not much - after he mentions the smell. "Oh, sorry... Do you not like fish much...? What are you even doing here?" she asks, most all of the fear she had previously gone and replaced with curiosity at the new being before her. Was this perhaps a new friend? Or just someone she'd remember faintly in times following this one? There was no way to tell...

There are rumours that cats despise water, that they can’t swim and would rather get stuck helplessly in a tall tree than go anywhere near a body of water bigger than the molecules in the air. Nepeta wasn’t sure if it was true or not, but considering she was half-human too, she found herself beginning call herself an anomaly to that rumour. In fact, she loved water! Rain, puddles, lakes, rivers - anything she could play in really - she loved!
She was a pretty decent swimmer too, and this helped her when it came to catching fish for meals if she wanted something other than berries and birds. Today was one of those days: Nepeta planned on enjoying a seafood feast! And it all started with her perch alongside a small pond known to have fish and other creatures in it.
She crouched down low, her tail swishing and her ears and eyes trained to the water, blocking out the rest of the world until what she needed came into position. With a well-timed bat of a hand into the water, she scooped up a decent sized fish and grinned as she caught it in her claws, killed it, and began a pile for her lunch which slowly grew from one to two to five to ten!
The only drawback: As she tuned out the rest of the world for her fishing, she had no idea what creatures could be coming past her, lurking and seeing her as their prey, or thought of stealing her delicious fish!

She began laughing a high pitched, cute laugh - one a human could easily confuse with that of a small child's - as she watched flowers explode and fly out in every direction. She tried to see how many she could catch on her head, but her ears flicked more away than actually landed on her head.
She then leaned forward and placed the necklace around Jake, grinning as she made sure it was secured tight before sitting back to admire her work. "Oh, it looks wonderful!! Flowers definitely suit mew just purrfectly!"

All the fur on Nepeta's body stood at attention, her tail fluffing up about 3x it's original size and her ears perking up and listening. A clawed hand lay along the surface of the water as her brain processed what she just heard. Perhaps it was nothing. The sound of a distant crow perhaps or an animal down the way doing god knew what. It wasn't until, after she stood still enough long enough, she was certain there was a presence behind her. It was an unmistakable feeling... She began to turn, deciding if this thing was dangerous she'd rather die facing it than die with her back turned. She let her wide, fearful eyes roam ahead of her body so she could see what she'd be facing. And that's when she saw it.
A face....? It looked... much like her own. Humanoid, but with features far from that. It allowed her to relax a little. It didn't look all that scary at first glance... Just different. Though she was still prepared to run if she needed to! But, she allowed herself to pause, tilting a head as her feline eyes scoured the part of the creature she could see before her with curiosity. She'd never encountered something like this before.... Forgetting all about her fishy meal, Nepeta's full attention turned towards whatever - or whoever - had startled her. It's a good thing she was friendly, since there was no good way for her to tell how large or dangerous it was, let alone know what "it" was in the first place!
After taking another pause, she relaxed enough to take a confidence-boosting breath and speak. "Hello...?"

She giggled, nodding to his question as she almost fell over in her own mewls of laughter seeing him get covered in grass and flowers.
She plucks a flower off him and places it beside one of her own ears instead, gently booping his nose with a petal of another before she delicately weaves it into her necklace. "Here! See if this is long enough." she requests, handing him a flower necklace.

She giggled, grinning at the sight of the crown upon his head. "Awww mew look so cute in a flower crown, Jake!" she squealed, sounding much like a 6 year old when seeing a puppy.
She giggled again, shaking her wrists slightly in happiness and excitement at the flowers on her wrists. "Oh yes! Many more!!" she exclaimed, working on the necklace of multi-coloured flowers she was planning on giving jake.

Yule Cat
Winter was never an exciting season for Nepeta. It was always so cold, that she usually found a warm place in her cave to hibernate, or at the very least live out the rest of the season until it warmed up again. But this year, Nepeta had friends she didn't want to miss hanging out with during the month or two that she usually took for hiding in warmth. She was, in fact, so caught up with some of her friends that she almost lost track of what season it was until she felt the cool breeze nipping at her nose. Instinctively, she knew now it was time to hide away in her cave and keep warm, but something else told her it was going to be a special year: one where she should hang around and see what happened. So she did. She had no idea what to expect, but she was surprised to see that, no more than a few days later, what should have been rain came down slowly and brightly white. She had no idea what it was, the frozen rain falling on a paw and leaving a cold, damp spot in it's melted place. Surprised, she jumped back only to have another land on her ear! Looking for the source of these white-rain drops, one landed gently on her nose before melting away into a tiny puddle. As it came down more and more, she found she loved winter, and whatever this natural phenomenon was! She played in it for hours as the slowly covered the ground in a fluffy layer of white. Nepeta herself slowly became damp from playing in it so long, but it was fun! She hadn't noticed how much time had passed until she heard crunching footsteps behind her, and a judgemental gaze following her every move.

"Oh, that would be purrfect, doing this more! I'd love it at least. I don't do this often enough..." She replies with a smile, finishing a crown and plopping it on his head as a size check as she begins her necklace. It looked nice on him, or so she thought, and she grinned more upon seeing it.
"Purrhaps maybe I should just cover mew in flowers!" She giggled. "You look nice in them."

She grins at him, lying on her back among the flowers - shamefully almost lost in them if one didn't know where she was already thanks to her size - as she too held up half a flower crown in blue, green, and yellow. "Well I'm going to make mew a crown AND a necklace anyway! Matching maybe, with a colour pattern too!!" she added excitedly, hers looking fairly nice from all her experience. She just had to make sure she didn't make it too large or too small...

"Oh! I'm sorry!! I didn't mean to frighten mew! I'm simply looking for my dinner~" she replied innocently enough, before giving a small, fanged smile. "Shame there's no birds though..." she added, frowning softly as she swiftly and skillfully swung her legs around the branch to sit as close to the edge as possible and sitting cross-legged like a smug little 10 year old - she kinda looked ten too, so that doesn't help - as she raised a paw-like, humanoid hand in a friendly wave.
"I'm Nepeta! Though... I'm not sure you'd really care about my name after that fright I gave you, would you?" she added with a frown. Why WOULD he want her name? It's like asking the name of your murderer before you died, she guessed? Silly either way!
"Umm, if there's anything I can do to make it up to mew.... Maybe I can get mew a bird too, hmm? Is that why you're all the way up in this tree? It would make sense since that's why I'm up in MY tree... but mew're going about hunting horribly, just so mew know! Form is pawsitively awful..." she muttered, noting how he was basically clinging to the tree like a scared kitten.
Whether or not she scared him should not have made him cling like that! It was embarrassing to hunters and huntresses alike. Not that she really seemed to notice or care that what he was did not seem to look anything like a hunter designed to be in a tree, but who was she to judge?
Adventures In Nature
Fuzzy brown ears perk up among the vibrant greens of bushes and tall grass as Nepeta hears a series of sounds reach her: sounds she hadn’t heard before. They didn’t seem natural for this area… But what was she to know? She rarely went far from her cave. But unfortunately, her curiosity won out this time and she bolted off through the trees to the source of the sound.
She couldn’t see anything upon arrival though, her paws dirty from the muddier ground and her fur puffed up from the excitement at meeting a new creature, for either good or bad. She was like that a lot… She looked around for a full minute before she heard shaking above. Perhaps a bird had landed in a tree! That would make for a great dinner…
She went to the nearest tree and began climbing it nice and high, skillfully, quickly, and smoothly thanks to lots of practice, until she could see what it was that was making all the noise. The leaves rustled around her as she poked her head out and looked across to the other tree with eyes equally as green but far more intense and curious, as well as surprised. She was poised daintily along the branch, slightly closer to the edge thanks to her smaller size and light weight, the corners of her lips curling up slightly at the sight of the other in the tree.
“Umm… exmews me! Uh, have mew purrhaps seen a bird in that tree of yours?” She asked, not finding it at all strange for someone to be in a tree. Just look at her. She was in a tree, and she could have sworn there was a possible dinner up here, so of course that’s where her attention is centred right now. “I thought I had seen one, but you’re all I can see!”
She sat up a bit more as she finished asking, her tail swishing behind her slowly and offering her extra balance atop the branch. An ear flicked at each soft creak and other noise that came from the tree as she moved, but she seemed far too calm for someone sitting on a seemingly unstable branch.

She hissed at the bird as he began fighting back, and only clawed at his leg when it pinned her down. "I doubt I'm as tasty as you would be." she hissed under her breath, squirming to break free. The position was too bad for her to push him off, her feet barely getting up to kick the back of his knees...But he was quite the bird brain, wasn't he? She just needed to squirm enough to distract him. Damn her tiny size!! She could see something large enough just a few feet from her but her arms weren't quite long enough to reach, despite her efforts.
"So now you've got me. What are you gonna do to me? Peck out my eyes until I stop laughing?" she insulted, her arm still outstretched to the side. Her claws brushes against a shiny stone and skid it a centimetre or two away in her failed attempt to pull it closer. Her mind was racing to try and get out, because she had not planned on failing this attack.
Ooh, shiny!
It was always rather common how distracted bird-like creatures could get really. Not to mention they’re typically hella jumpy too, but that’s probably just smaller birds rather than larger ones. Kind of like Dave here. He is supposedly all big an bad when he can get just as easily distracted by small things just as any normal bird can. He of course would get pissed off about it given the fact that he probably has more important shit to do than to lurk after some shiny rock in a trickling and small river or whatever. You wouldn’t understand the fury rumbling under those puffed up feathers.
But either way, this young harpy was stronger than most birds as you know. Sure, they’re are probably other creature-like birds that are similar to his size and strength, but he has yet to meet anything or anyone who is as large as him. Well, at least in the sky, that is. And even though he is the power in the skies, some kind of rustling down in the thick, lush canopy of trees and shrubbery always caught his interest and eye. It is, after all, sad to say that his attention span isn’t exactly the sharpest or the longest. He also seemed to go and investigate the noises and anything that was different in his environment because as what was stated, Dave could not stay on his task at hand for long.
And at the moment, something spectacular caught his sharp and bright gaze from way up high. No, it wasn’t some shiny rock or even just a trickling brook/stream or whatever they’re called. It was something much larger, possibly even larger than his nest! Well, the object wasn’t, exactly, instead it was just a huge temple like building residing under the shiny object. How had Davesprite not discovered of this before? This entire run down and covered in dirt ruin was larger than most of the trees in this whole side of the forest! It was astonishing, but not as much as that what seems to be a shiny and dusty platter. It must have just recently fallen off of part of the ruined building as fresh scrape marks lined the bottom. And it seemed to have fallen in a revealed patch of grass that reflected off of the sun just perfectly. Maybe this platter had wanted to be found.
“Shiny.” Dave pointed out the obvious as he quietly spoke to himself as long, dark orange talons slowly lifted up the one arm length platter. It was pretty fuckin’ heavy too. And if Davesprite was some kind of human creature, the only thought that would be going through his mind is how much could this be worth? But since the bird dude had a bird brain, he just thought this would be a perfect thing to bring back to his home! He would leave it out here, for now, though. Surely there has to be at least more shiny and silver/gold things inside? Hopefully it shouldn’t collapse on him. Either way, the young man shifted his feathered sleeves to the side as he stood up and as well as brushed off the dirt collecting onto his already ripped up black shorts. His talons of course hooked onto a part and ripped it even more than it already is. God, he was going to have to find some stronger material. And without actually surveying his own surroundings for impending danger, Davesprite clonked his way into the ruined building.

She giggles, grinning and diving after him into the flowers. "I think it would! You'd probably look good with all of them. I know! I'll make you a rainbow crown!!" she exclaimed, beginning to pick out a handful of blue, green, and yellow flowers mainly, beginning to make a nice big crown.

She tensed slightly as she heard the movement of footsteps nearby. Coming closer in fact.... Her green eyes searched around the tree until they finally landed on a pair of feet, slowly making their way towards her tree. Crap, that must have been the person she ran into, coming to give her hell! She shrunk back slightly more, sitting back slightly as the small creature stared up at the slowly outstretching hand. He seemed nice....
She slowly reached a hand out in return, her soft paw-like hand with her claws retracted for a friendly look. She seemed more like a small child now that she's not frenzying like a crazed lunatic. She gently took his hand, slowly standing and looking at him sadly.
She tenses again as the clap of thunder reaches her ears, louder and closer now, and she skipped towards the stranger in instinct reaction, releasing his hand and wrapping her arms around his middle, her head buried in his shirt with her fur puffed up in fear. She didn't mean to get this close to him... But she had to admit that his presence did feel nice....
Mew Have Got to be Kitten Me! (aka Nep's a Scaredy Cat)
The trees were a blur in Nepeta’s vision, her legs moving fast enough to appear missing as she raced through the forest. Zig-zagging between trees, under low branches and over fallen logs and large stones. Her tail was the only thing keeping her balanced enough to keep running. She had to keep running. It was so close. Right behind her!
She felt something brush up against the end of her tail and the shiver that zipped down her spine only made her speed up, her cat speeds and reflexes finally coming in handy as she went past. The only thing on her mind was to escape. Though… she didn’t exactly know what it was she was running from. But it was large, loud, and cast a huge shadow. And it was obviously fast, because she had yet to outrun it, and that was scary by itself! She had to be fast enough. She just had to!
Too focused on the thing behind her, she missed the thing in front of her until she crashed into it and was sent tumbling to the ground, her and the stranger together. Her momentum was gone and her tail was puffed and all her fur was standing on end. She scrambled to her feet to hide behind whatever stranger she’d ran into and hissed up at the hulking shape above, fangs bared and claws dangerously close to scratching someone.
Now, in her panicked state, it took her a moment longer than it should have to realize there was no one and nothing there: just leaves blowing in the ever increasing wind and a dark shadow being cast by the incoming storm. It looked as though the poor kitten had been scared by the touch of a leaf and the thundering sounds of a storm. She’s was still shaken up though, the next loud thunder clap causing her to mewl in fear, her body tensing and leaving the ground a few inches before running and cowering behind a tree. She wasn’t scared of thunder storms. No siree. Not one bit. Nope… Not that anyone would know at least. Anyone besides the poor person she ran into, whom she seemed to have forgotten about in her panic.

She kept low to the ground, her eyes trained towards the shiny platter reflecting light out for a good couple miles. Nepeta was ashamed of her old habits, but she was a cat after all. Birds and small rodents simply had a sort of appeal she can’t turn away from! Call it natural instinct or having very little self-control, she would never admit to being as bad as she is. That being said- wait, what was that? Her ears perked up slightly as she heard something coming closer... and closer... Yes! Someone - or something - fell for her bait! And it’s a BIG something! She’d be able to feed everyone if she took that down!! She felt her lips twitch up as it spoke and attempted to take the platter before beginning to wander farther. Her tail was up to offer her more balance, her gaze focused on her new prey as she quietly made her way after him. She had to stalk him first - it’s how these kinds of things go! You can’t just attack without the stalking!!
Her paws made ever so subtle shuffling noises along the ground as she went, her body tight to the ground and compact for easier camouflage. All that practice was finally coming in handy... It helped that the creature before her seemed to have a short attention span: gave her a bonus if she got cornered, though she doubted that would ever happen!
She took a few more steps, wanting to get close enough and be far enough in with the creature that another wouldn’t see as easily, and an escape path would be harder to find. She just needed a little further... Then she’d pounce. Get a running start so that no matter what she’d be able to tackle him with momentum for at least a moment. There’s no way she’d be able to judge his weight or strength from this angle, but he was obviously strong enough to begin lifting her bait, so momentum would definitely be needed to help in the takedown.
Now seemed the time. Now was as good as ever at least. She let him walk a little farther away, her butt wiggling behind her slightly as her tail prepared her balance, her ears flat against her head as her bright green eyes narrowed in on the best place to try and take someone down. Then, after a moment of aim, she bolted towards him, arms outstretched and suddenly her entire body weight smashed into the bird’s middle, the momentum crashing them both to the ground as Nepeta shifted to pin him down quickly, unfortunately and almost pathetically being smaller than him but smirking menacingly down at him. “Ah-ha! I got mew now, dinner!”
Ooh, shiny!

Adventures In Nature
A clatter of sticks falls around him, but Cronus just closes his eyes against the dirt spattering around him and wraps his fingers tightly around the branch he’s holding onto, pulling himself up, gagging and hissing softly to himself to keep from flinching away from the dirty grossness and falling down however high up he is. That would suck. He is not interested in doing that today. What he is interested in is trying to get some sort of aerial view of the forest, see if he can find any sources of water or food because his section of the forest is starting to get a little bit more crowded than he’d like, and maybe it’s time to relocate. Or, possibly, find another pod of selkies for the sake of safety in numbers.
As he leans his weight on the branch, it creaks ominously. He only screams a little bit. Yeah. Safety in numbers. Why the hell did he separate from his pod again?
It creaks again, groans, and the speed in which he gets up on it and throws himself towards another, thicker branch would impress any human sports team anywhere, he would like some recognition for the acrobatics he just performed, thank you very much. Good lord. He kneels on that branch, resisting the urge to wrap his arms around the trunk to make himself feel better (he does, however, put a hand on it and sorta slides around until it’s almost wrapped around but not really). He shifts again, leans a hip against the bark, and shakes his head to get all the leaves and bugs and shit off. Okay.
He squints out into the forest. He’s high up enough that when he sees the ground, his grip tightens (oh god ew now there’s sap under his fingernails ew ew ew) but not so high that he’s actively going to lose his shit. He tries to stand,a little shaky, and immediately drops the fuck back down when something makes a noise. Oh god. The tree is gonna fall the fuck over, the branch is gonna snap, he’s going to lose his balance, something’s coming for him, holy shit, holy shit this is what death looks like-
A leaf, green and soft and oh-so-slow, flutters in front of him and is shooed off by the wind. He blinks, squeaks in both embarrassment (thank god no one saw that) and also enraged at nature. Nature can fuck off, honestly. Nature is the worst. Who even came up with nature? Why? Why did-
He leans forward too much, sees the ground, straightens up as if a tree himself and just kinda. Sits down properly, turning so his back is against the trunk and his legs are on either side of the branch. Hopefully, straddling this wood will keep him from dying.
Hopefully.

She checks back lots as they walk, almost afraid that Jake would leave her randomly or ditch her or just decide she wasn’t worth his patience, so she kept a surprisingly close eye on him and almost dropped all her flowers when she noticed him run into a couple trees! He seemed okay though, and it didn’t take them long to come to a small opening among the trees full of flowers of in every possible colour: from yellows to reds and oranges, down to blues and purples and whites. They were beautiful and vibrant, even if Jake couldn’t see every colour.
“Welp! Here we are!!” she exclaimed, her half-formed crown gently resting between her ears as her arms gestured around at the outcropping.
