Dorm Room Dancing (Food Wars)

Heyo! I hadn’t realized it, but I made this dabble for @jumiii and completely forgot about it T-T My apologies friend! I hope you like it, delayed as it is!

When Takuma walked through the door of his and Soma’s shared apartment, he smelled home.

Whiffs of garlic and tomatoes roasting together harmoniously encased him, taking him back to his family’s estate, right in their kitchen back in Italy. His father’s guiding words entwined with laughter as he and Isami learned to make homemade pasta. The sound of their small radio sitting in an open window, a woman singing of an old love to a somber yet beautiful musical track. Memories Takumi could never forget as he walked towards the source of the smell.

He found Soma working away, bandana pulled across his forehead as he stirred what looked to be some sort of red sauce. He was a picture of calm, swaying to a song on the radio. When Takumi walked closer, he could hear Soma singing along under his breath.

“~Track suits and red wine, movies for two. We’ll take off our phones, And we’ll turn off our shoes~”

His voice was low and raspy sounding, clearly lost in memory as he set the sauce to simmer. He moved on to work on what looked to be homemade bread, gathering a bowl of garlic butter and coating the slices delicately. Clumps of fresh pasta sat by on the floured counter, ready to be tossed into boiling water towards the end.

He was making one of the first dishes Takumi ever made for them.

Takumi felt his chest begin to flutter.

“~We’ll play nintendo, though I always lose. ‘Cause you watch the TV, while I’m watching you~”.” He smiled as he sang, placing the bread onto a tray to cook.

Takumi leaned against the doorframe, smiling behind his hand as he watched his boyfriend go about. His heart was pounding a thousand miles a minute as he felt himself fall for the redhead all over. Even after being together for two years, he couldn’t help but be smitten over the smallest of things.

“~There’s not many people, I’d honestly say, I don’t mind losing to.~” Soma turned, stumbling over his words when he saw Takumi. Recovering quickly, he slowly made his way over, taking the blonde’s hand in his and pulling him close, carrying on the song. “But there’s nothing, like doing nothing, with you~”

Before he knew it, they were dancing. Soma’s voice carried them through the lyrics as he gently twirled Takumi about, grinning at the permanent blush staining Takumi’s cheeks. He was surprisingly good at it, guiding them around the room with effortless grace, eyes never breaking away as he sang along with the sweet words filling the room. They held so much warmth and love in them it was almost overwhelming, but Takumi wouldn’t look away.

“~You could be dancing on tabletops, wearing high heels. Drinking until the world spins like a wheel. But tonight our apartment has so much appeal, who needs stars? We’ve got a roof~” Soma pulled him into his chest as the song reached its ending, resting his forehead against Takumi’s, arms coming around his waist, rocking him gently as he finished the song. “~There is nothing, like doing nothing, with you~”

As the song finished, he leaned in gently, capturing the other’s lips with his own. Warmth radiated through Takumi’s entire being, curling his toes and leaving him feeling breathless. He returned the kiss just as gently, wrapping his arms loosely around the taller boy’s neck as he melted within his arms.

When they pulled away, both flushed and smiling, Soma gently reached up, brushing his thumb against the other’s cheek. 

“Welcome home, love.”

What if Anime Characters (Especially Japanese) have Chinese, Korean, and English names – Shokugeki no Soma/Food Wars ver. (Part 2)

Those kanji names can be translated into Hanzi (Chinese) and Hangeul (Korean) based on en.wiktionary.org.

Remember, this is only for the pure Japanese and the half-Japanese characters, not foreigners (like Rolland Chapelle, WGO members, etc) characters. Also, their Chinese will be written with Chinese Simplified instead of Chinese Traditional to make it sound like in Mainland China.

When Soma Yukihira and Takumi Aldini Have the Closed up Eyes in One Scene

I found that both Soma's eyes and Takumi's eyes are closed up and combined in one scene at least three times.

forgot i didnt crosspost this here from twitter lol;;; anyway shokugeki might be dead to me but soutaku is still golden. here’s my headcanon soutaku kids !!! i love them a lot. in fact i love them so much i have a timeline of Souma and Takumi’s future centered around them.

Kou’s the quieter one, while Rie is more outspoken. they were adopted when Kou was 15 and Rie was 9. 

Rie ends up taking over the Trattoria with her cousins and becoming the third generation head chef for Yukihira Diner. she’s the prince-type character and doesn’t know the meaning of shame or second hand embarrassment. she’ll win everyone over with her million watt smile, frilly skirts and charming lines. has claustrophobia, was fifth seat when graduating Tootsuki and thinks that her dads’ arguments are oddly adorable.

Kou goes on to pursue a career in marine biology. he’s the smartest in the family and has the least passion for cooking, though he can bake a mean pumpkin pie. he thinks Tootsuki is bullshit. met his zookeeper boyfriend from stress visiting the zoo too much. is very used to looking out for people, has a trained poker face and thinks his dads should start watching their calorie intake (esp Souma).

- of Yukihira Souma and Takumi Aldini and their absurdly simple (yet complex) relationship -

The thing about Souma and Takumi’s relationship is, how incredibly sturdy it is despite them hardly ever having moments together to define it unlike with other characters they too share strong relations with - examples being Megumi for Souma, some the instances being the Shokugeki against Shinomiya during training camp and the Moonlight Banquet Arc. Isami for Takumi, the instances being the Hinako’s challenge during Training Camp and the Autumn Elections Preliminaries.  There is no arc or contest where they work together to showcase their strong bonds. Their relationship doesn’t even have a setup from the past. They aren’t childhood friends, and have never even met each other until Training Camp. And yet, one gets the feeling that they’ve known each other for a lifetime, or have been friends for at least years to be so comfortable around each other whenever they interact.

Most of their relationship is defined, developed and shown mainly when the other is not around, or by a third party. In fact, their relationship is established so quietly, so indirectly that Souma and Takumi themselves hardly ever acknowledge their relationship directly.

Which leads to the question - what are they, really?

Playlists of Totsuki Students | Part 5

[A collection of headcanons on what kind of music I imagine the characters of “Shokugeki no Soma” would be into by creating playlists with songs I feel they’d like]

I just really wanted to get them done because…yeah ahdhd. So here they are! We have some of the senpais at last! Yay!!

Nene Kinokuni: I’ve kept these playlists mostly English so far, but with Nene I think the Western music, she’d appreciate the most would honestly be classical music shshd. Nene’s playlist consists mostly of instrumental songs, because I just feel this would be what she’d listen to in her free time….I tried my best!

Satoshi Isshiki: “Yellow Submarine” came on when I was listening to smth on shuffle and I was like “I’m going to put this on Isshiki’s playlist” and from that point on, it sorta became a chill playlists of mostly 70s songs? I don’t know exactly why, but I feel he’d like songs like this…?

Terunori Kuga: Kuga was honestly the most challenging out of this bunch, because I can picture Kuga enjoying a great many things…he’s just so chaotic ahdhd. Given his hyper personality, I searched mostly for upbeat songs from various decades and also tried to include some Guilty Pleasure stuff. Because in my headcanon, Kuga is just a meme-lord. 

Etsuya Eizan: Eizan’s theme in the anime (”Alchemist”) is much on the rock-side, so…ultimately I just think he’d listen to Rock as well? Given the title “de-stress playlist”, I eventually structured the playlist like: “loud things you can be angry to” -> “soft Rock to calm down” -> “one motivational pop song” because that idea was just very funny to me, I’m sorry. And I wanted to fit “Gold” by Spandau Ballet there somewhere. But yeah, ultimately? He listens mainly to Rock imho.

[A collection of headcanons on what kind of music I imagine the characters of “Shokugeki no Soma” would be into by creating playlists with songs I feel they’d like]

I tried my best. 

Ikumi Mito - Given that she has a romantic side stored in her, I think she’d love romantic-themed songs. Genre-wise, I can see Ikumi being into HipHop and/or R’n’B elements! Maybe also some Latin. As I also see her as an avid dancer, I tried to include some fast tunes that are good to dance to. Anyway, this is kind off the ✨ vibe ✨ I tried to capture ig?

Isami Aldini - As Isami’s a very chill and laidback person, I mostly leaned towards relaxing Chill-hop! Based on a suggestion of @tailsisfluffy I also included some Italian songs as well ;v; But generally speaking, I wanted to get a calm ✨vibeeee✨

Shoji Sato - Shoji just gives off the ✨ vibe ✨ that he’s into Rap/HipHop. So I went with that ✨ vibe ✨. I also mixed it with some classics for parties, given the Polar Star Dorm’s love for partying. Anyways yes, ✨vibes✨

Daigo Aoki - The first thing I thought when laying eyes upon Daigo was “he looks like Elvis”. Based on this, I firmly believe that Daigo does actually favors Rock ‘n’ Roll from the 50s to 60s. No one can change my mind.
