Honest to GOD, I did not know a goalie could take a PK before everyone else on the pitch did. She sank it, I'll give you that. But Alyssa Naeher had to do EVERYTHING in that game and it was not fair to her

KO was a mistake. She is not good at PKs and that's okay. Ertz should've taken it. Better yet, Alex Morgan should've been our 60 minute sub and shouldn't have started. She should've been a finisher, not a starter and then I bet she ends that game in extra time or regular time

And none of that even really matters cause if we beat Sweden, we'd have gotten embarrassed by Japan. But God, you see someone like Sophia Smith who has the potential to be better than anyone we've seen in this program since fucking Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach, and we have to watch her be put in a position to fail every step of the way. She should've been the 9. She shouldn't have been left to dry with that PK. She deserves a lot better than Vlatko and so does everyone else on that team

Player of the match is a tie between Naeher, Girma, and Sonny. Without them we'd have lost by 5+ goals. Everyone else (besides Rodman while she was in and Ertz) was trash. Special shoutout to Alex Morgan who couldn't stay on sides and Pinoe who shouldn't have even made the roster
