The Tales of Rash the Coward Part 2

So my first hurdle hadn't even occured during the start of the actual game. It was actually during the character creation screen. You see the problem was the Orcs in Skyrim didn't actually have orange skin tones. And I didn't feel like spending 20 hours getting Nexus Mods to work so I decided to win the best I can.

Here's my attempt in Skyrim.

Versus the actual in-game Shadow of War version of Rash. So let me down below how did I do?

Now I don't really have a good in-game explaination as to why Rash: an Orc from Middle Earth's Mordor ended up in The Elder Scrolls' Skyrim... but let's say he was with a raiding party attacking some humans, and it turned out they were cultists trying to bring another being into their world and Rash got sucked in. I'm sorry if that doesn't really fit the lore of the Elder Scrolls or Middle Earth, but hey I am trying my best man.

So with that we begin our story. Rash woke up bound and gagged in a cart with some filthy humans. One of them went on and on about an ambush and civil war while Rash couldn't care one bit about humans and their petty squabbles. But did care when the Imperials treated him with disrespect: saying he merely "hails from one of the strongholds" as opposed to respecting his title as overlord that and you know the whole execution thing.

Rash thought his life was going to end as he was unable to do anything, until a dragon swooped down causing mass hysteria and distress. Allowing him to attempt to make an escape amidst the chaos.

I basically zoomed past the first section of Helgen due to me having done it countless times (I wanna say 10-12 times), but anyway when it came to making his escape with Ralof and the filthy Imperial Hadvar Rash chose the former. Mainly due to horrible first impression Rash has gained of the Imperials during his first few minutes of entering Skyrim.

Now when it came to the challenge Helgen was a bit challenging due to the fact I am limiting myself to primarly melee weapons (orc weapons and maces) which caused me to not get a weapon until the second fight. And due to me being a melee combatant I would get hit and would not be allowed to attack forcing me to either let Ralof get the job done or run past all of the Imperials, which I did. I kept looting the place maybe because Rash assumed he could gather some Orcs and form an army; therefore, he would need to provide some equipment.

Helgen was a little bit rough with me not being able to kill a single enemy in the game until the five spiders, you know the ones in the fourth fight. I managed to bait out their ranged web attacks and hide behind a rock healed and went in for some strikes. I even managed to take down the bear with one of those cinematic kill things.

But due to me running past all of the enemies I basically abandonned Ralof until he spawned outside of Helgen. Ralof then directed Rash to the village or Riverwood to see his sister and get some supplies. Now normally Rash would raid the village with his Orc buddies, but there's a good reason he doesn't. A: he was quick to find out Orcs aren't as horribly treated as in Middle Earth as in Skyrim with Ralof and others seeming to tolerate Rash just fine, meaning there's no need for hostility. B: he has no band of Orcs to speak of meaning that while the village is weak they could still outnumber him.

Now I know this is giving Rash a lot of the benefit of the doubt after all he is a stupid Orc. But I personally think due to his status as Captain and even Overlord in my inital playthrough and basically just how I imagine the guy to be. I would think he can be quite tactical and observant when needed. I don't always imagine him running in blindly.

Sure I could he see him being a bit arrogant and confident, but I also see this dude using tactics and strategy to compensate for his weakness fear and panic. He tries and stays organized the best he can.

Anyways moving on from that Rash makes it to Riverwood and basically begins attempting to steal (with 100% no savescumming I swear to Talos), and he quickly found the humans of this world are far more dumber than the average person than in Mordor. They have more obvious blindspots, they can act oddly and seem incapable of forming new sentences half of the time.

All of this to say I sold the crap I got in Helgen, stole some iron, cheese and food, nabbed the free PO-TA-TOES and cabbages and got the supplies from Ralof's sister. To which she directed me Whiterun and the Jarl there to report on the dragon. Rash would go there seeing as he had little to no other leads on whats going on or how to get back home to Mordor.

To which Rash went back on the road slain a couple wolves all without a hit. And made it to the farms of Whiterun seeing a giant toppled down. To which that was none of his concern as he just nabbed the free PO-TA-TOES and cabbages. The Companions insulted him for being 60 feet and being unable to do nothing, and then just walk off.

After all of that Rash finally made it to the City of Whiterun. And where today's post ends. I mainly wanted to get the slog that is Helgen out of the way so I can get into the real meat and PO-TA-TOES that is this challenge.

Oh yeah if you're curious the food is for healing. And my build is currently an iron mace and iron/imperial heavy armor mix so that I take less damage and in theory have to heal less. Hopefully that all made sense.

The Tales of Rash the Coward Part 1

I want to play Skyrim again, but that's boring. So I wanna try a challenge run. One of my own creation. The Coward's Challenge. But first some context.

This guy right here is Rash, the Coward. He is an Orc Captain I met during my first playthrough of Middle Earth: Shadow of War. He would flee at the sight of flies or taking a singular point of damage. His character was so funny and interesting I took him aboard and made him the Overlord of Cirith Ungol (Or was it Minas Morgul? I can't remember)

So I will basically be playing as Rash. The rules go as follows:

Rule 1: If I take a single point of damage either I heal at full or I flee if the first is not possible.

Rule 2: No companions, period. Save for manditory ones the game forces onto me.

Rule 3: I can't just beat the game, I need to complete this one quest I vaguely remember about helping Orcs.

Rule 4: I can only use maces, Orcish Weapons and my fists.

Rule 5: No magic.

With that said let the run begin.
