Liriope muscari  (big blue lilyturf)
I’m not sure why this plant is called big blue lily turf because the flowers are tiny and I regard the color lilac as a lighter shade of purple. It is native to China, Japan, and Korea and grows in shady, mountain forests. Locally the leaves are turning yellow a bit sooner than normal. Here in Vancouver, September had 11% of normal precipitation and it’s been drought-like for about three months.
