“Slut Commandments” video mapping
Project Description
"Slut Commandments" is a video mapping piece, and much more than a pretty display of visuals. It functions as an act of protest and resistance, expressed through the medium of moving images. The project directly confronts the rules and limitations that society imposes on our sexuality and the power we have over our own bodies. Within a society frequently characterized by the repression of desire and strict expectations, the work is an aesthetic proclamation of revolt.
In this context, the body becomes a space of authentic expression, pleasure, and self-definition; not one of judgement or morality. Irrespective of someone's sexual identity or what they enjoy, the artwork validates the inherent right of every person to exist, and to be represented in whatever way they choose.
Artistic Intent
The piece leverages video mapping, which it wields as a robust medium of expression, effectively converting the surroundings into a visual manifesto of freedom. Art here functions as a vehicle for reclaiming the right to reside within one's own physical form, free from both embarrassment and restrictions. Ultimately, the work celebrates the critical importance of individuality, genuineness, and the recognition of multifaceted identities.
Aesthetic and References
Formally, "Slut Commandments" takes cues from glitch art, a visual style employing intentional errors (whether digital or analog) to achieve a certain expressive effect. Visual flaws, disturbances, and traces of VHS recordings are not included just to make things look pretty; they are employed to disorient, evoke memories, and hint at breaks in continuity.
Artists such as Rob Sheridan have employed these approaches by transforming images and photographs, yielding works that spark feelings of longing and alienation. The visual world of the early 2000s, marked by the meeting of antiquated and digital technology, profoundly shaped the project's visual strategy.
By deploying glitch textures and allusions to VHS's aesthetic quality, the work produces an aesthetic of fragmentation, allowing reflections on the intricacies of sexual freedom and contemporary concepts of personal identity.

About me
Hailing from Barletta, Puglia, born on the 16th of May, 1999, I've held a strong affinity for art since I was very young. This passion was cultivated by my parents, who provided steadfast support and steered me towards artistic endeavors from the tender age of three, all while I was attending conventional schooling.
As I matured, I found myself drawn to photography and graphic design. I acquired practical skills as a photo editing assistant, and later worked as a graphic designer and photo editor within communication agencies, both within Italy and internationally. Following the completion of my secondary education, with a specialization in graphic design, I furthered my studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bari, concentrating on New Art Technologies, with a specific emphasis on game design.
Presently, I am a postgraduate student at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Turin, focusing on multimedia exhibitions and digital performance. Over recent years, my artistic inquiries have broadened into video art, drawing inspiration from Vaporwave aesthetics, manipulated imagery, and a particular fondness for vintage technology, particularly early computer systems spanning from the 1970s to the 1990s. This longing for past technological eras highlights one of my primary interests: technology itself, which actively shapes my day-to-day existence and perpetually stimulates my artistic creation. Recognizing this impact, I deliberately construct distorted visual realms and atmospheres that offer a reinterpretation of my reality, molded by my personal tastes, experiences, and overall outlook.
My artistic signature also embraces elements of the grotesque, a theme I consistently investigate and incorporate within my work, occasionally overt, at other times more concealed. This fascination with the grotesque also stems from early 20th-century photography, specifically the works of László Moholy-Nagy, a pivotal figure within the Bauhaus movement, whose experimental philosophies remain an enduring source of creative fuel. While my practice predominantly centers around graphic design, photography, and drawing, I am continuously expanding into video and audiovisual formats, always exploring the diverse expressive opportunities present in contemporary art.

Legàmi: A Visual Exploration of Relational Dynamics
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Legàmi is a photographic project that delves into the intricate and sometimes obscure facets of human relationships, with a particular focus on oppression and the toxic undercurrents of love. The series, composed of twelve black-and-white photographs, stands out for its powerful visual language: sharp contrasts, a tangible grain, and an aesthetic infused with digital and post-punk influences contribute to a dense, emotionally charged atmosphere.
Starring two male figures, the images narrate the evolution of a bond from the individual identities to their encounter, and ultimately to the gradual decay of the relationship. Each shot is crafted to reveal, through composition and image treatment, the power struggles, dependency, and lack of communication that often define human connections.

Franco Bassi
This project is a visual and theoretical exploration of the work of Franco Bassi, a significant figure in Italian graphic design during the second half of the 20th century. Entirely developed by me—from research to design—it aims to reconstruct and reinterpret Bassi’s visual language through a contemporary lens.
The publication, presented as a digital PDF, features graphics faithfully inspired by Bassi’s original compositions. Through bold typography, geometric layouts, and vibrant flat colors, I sought to capture the essence of his modernist approach and his refined sense of visual balance.
This work is both an academic study and a personal tribute, demonstrating my ability to analyze historical graphic design and translate it into a coherent and visually engaging editorial format.
