Hello!! Your art is so beautiful and it literally convinced me to read aftg just so i could understand your drawings haha. i’m halfway through book 2. i was wondering if you left the marauders fandom or like stopped drawing those characters if that makes sense? you are crazy talented!! 💕💕

thank you so much omg 🥺 hearing that my art convinced you to pick up aftg honestly means the world to me!! it’s like the highest compliment bc the books are so special to me and knowing my drawings encouraged someone to dive into that story is just… wow. i hope you’re enjoying the ride so far (book 2 is such a wild point to be at, the tension just keeps building from here) there’s so much character depth and emotional chaos waiting for you, i’m honestly excited on your behalf!!

as for the marauders: i think i just reached the end of the road with them. i loved drawing them for years but even from the beginning i felt a kind of moral dilemma… at first i told myself it was different enough from the main series that it wasn’t really profiting the author but as time passed, i had more space to reflect. i realized that it’s not only about me and my choices but also about how these things affect people around me, especially trans people who were directly targeted by rowling’s words and actions. i couldn’t keep contributing to something connected to a person actively harming others who just want to live freely, as everyone should be allowed to. once that really sank in, it became impossible for me to engage with that world in the same way.

and then there was the fandom itself. sometimes posting art felt really stressful bc i was so anxious about drama. ship wars were completely disproportionate, and even though i was lucky enough to avoid direct conflict, i always had this sense of a sword of damocles hanging over my head. as an anxious person by nature, that constant tension made it really hard to enjoy creating. what started as something joyful became a source of stress and that was a another big sign that it was time for me to step away.

so yeah, i still admire so many marauders artists their work is incredible and i’ll always be grateful for the joy i had during those years and the people i met but for me it was time to let go and put my energy into something that feels right. aftg has given me that spark again and i’m so glad you’re getting into it too. 💕

no because andrew’s eyes are literally the final boss of drawing. like they are simultaneously:

• dead shark eyes

• two little windows of “i’m so tired of being perceived”

• the sexiest void you’ve ever stared into

and the fact that he can look at you like nothing matters while communicating everything??? bro he invented eye contact as psychological warfare

Hiii I’m so curious what device you use procreate on. I’ve been wanting to get into digital art and am looking at options. But it seems like you have a lot of experience and so I’m curious to know what you use and if you like it.

hiii!! i’m using procreate on an ipad i think you can only use procreate on ipads anyway (pretty sure there’s no version for other devices unless i missed something)

when i started doing digital art, getting an ipad was honestly the best option for me and it still is. i don’t have a desktop computer or a laptop that could run something like photoshop or clip studio paint. also those programs + a tablet set up can get really expensive 😭 procreate was a cheaper option overall and it works well for what i do! plus i love that i can take my ipad with me everywhere, that’s super convenient. so yeah for now it’s perfect for me :)

Your art is gorgeous like seriously amazing!! I especially loved loved loved your drawing of the girls, it’s really how I imagined them to look like. Do you think you’ll eventually colour it?

ahhh thank you so much 🥺 that’s such a sweet message !! i did try doing flat colours on renee and it worked okay (posted it on my twt) but for the others… idk why it just wasn’t clicking 😭 so i’m sorry about that ! i think i might actually redo some of the designs. not for renee, laila or allison bc i feel like i got them right but cat and dan might change a bit. it was actually the first time i’d drawn them so they’re still kind of evolving in my head (same thing happened with andrew, the more i draw them the more solid they feel) but i’d love to colour them properly one day !! and thank you again for your kind words <3
