im gonna rant about that

-were both labelled as very grumpy and moody by the people who know us in person, though those who take time to know us know that we’re actually pretty friendly and we care about people

-lack of identity and gender dysphoria

-often forced to get involved with things we don’t want to - often because people don’t want us to be “lonely, but we’re both perfectly happy to be alone.

-(in my case, despite lack of emotional empathy) we both care deeply about the people who treat us right, and will do whatever it takes to actually make them happy. we both give good advice too (i like to think all those paragraphs of advice ive sent to my friends aren’t bad)

-we’re both artists

jiraiblr has truly saved me. i mean it, if i hadn’t discovered jiraiblr i would genuinely have kicked the bucket a long time ago. maybe that’s, in part, because i had the privilege of becoming quite popular on here quite quickly? it’s hard to say, but this place feels like a found family. i have people who like me now. as of right now, i only have one in real life friend, but here, lots of people know me, and even admire me? it feels so bizarre. me, the person who identifies with rats, frogs and black cats more than people, actually has people who actually care. it’s so foreign. so, thank you, jiraiblr. i love you all more than anything

to call myself an artist feels like an insult to the word itself.

i live to create, and yet everyone my own age who puts in a single bit of effort can make great things, whereas with every piece i make, im left disappointed.

i draw dumb cartoons, the people in my art class can make photo-realistic masterpieces. i can draw realism, but it’s always ridiculously uncanny.

i make art because it’s my one reason to be alive. i make art for attention. i make art as a coping mechanism. i make art because it helps me to forget.

but calling myself an artist feels invalid.

i want to pursue a career in art, but i feel as if i cant.

for 15 years old, i feel my skills are extremely far behind what they should be.
