Esme de' Laurier (Esme Aine Constance Wilson): Playlist

A living anomaly. Explaining the exsistance of Esme in simple terms would be difficult because she transcends what we know about our world and the universe.

Was meant for a different universe, but was thrown into another after her alternate reality collided with the existence of another. Her forceful entrance caused a rip between the fused realities and the reality she now lives in. This bridge between worlds now sits in the trunk of a great oak tree in the middle of a thick forest, waiting—calling for her return. As her absence is not only noticeable, but is becoming harmful for her home reality. She was meant to be the princess and she still is, if only she could make her way back home.

An unassuming, regular 'ol college kid. French-American. Gets good grades. Majoring in music theory. 20 years of age. Lesbian. Lives close to the Appalachian mountains. Has two loving parents, although it's possible these people were supposed to be the parents of another child. Soon to be the princess of Laurier and Guardian of the Great Velvet Oak. Loves nature and photography. Not quick on her toes. Tends to be more of a sweet airhead.

Lenore Estrella Joyce (An Hae-in): Playlist

25 years of age. Korean-American. Recently moved to downtown Clarksville from up north. Accidentally now owns a haunted bookstore she lives above. Hopeless romantic. Queer. Elegant in style but clumsy in practice.

A dynamic presence. Lenore seems to light up every room she finds herself in. If you were to ask the locals what they thought of her, they'd tell you she was quite the delight. On the contrary, if you were to ask the townfolk for their opinions on her bookstore, Ms. Joyce's Fictional Department, they'd immediately give you a sour look along with the same rebuttal, "May the Lord bless that girl."

If you'd asked Lenore what she'd felt when first facing her new shop, she would tell you it was a fine building! Maybe a bit of a fixer-upper, but it wouldn't be anything she couldn't handle. Most people thought it was refreshing to see a lively girl such as Lenore bringing the building back to life. Others just prayed for her.

Because something most definitely was lurking in the shadows of the department.

Lillabeth Faye Bronwyn (Hong Da-eun): Playlist

You'll never meet someone as spiteful and full of hatred as Lillabeth. What was once a beautifully kind soul has now withered away, leaving only but an outdated shell. Hollow and miserable.

Canonically a 4chan user. Was made to be set in the early 2000s. Heavy smoker. Self-harms. 21 years of age. Misandrist. Queer. Agender. Korean-Italian.

Lillabeth was orphaned before she'd graduated highschool due to her parents passing from a fatal car crash. In her highschool years, you could ask anyone who she was and they'd alway have an answer. Now she's an anxious graduate with a job at walmart and no college degree. She lives with a roommate she rarely interacts with and has no friends; after the accident, she moved five states away in michigan and cut contact with everyone. However, She still finds joy in live music shows, writing haikus, posting her "shitty" writing and ragebaits on different forums, and burning parts of her skin with a lighter. A true downfall from her sweet highschool days.

Lucia Aster Valentina: Playlist

What a very odd young woman Lucia is. If you had the opportunity to pass her on the street, you would've believed that you'd simply passed the idea of a girl, not a physical being.

Silent and quaint. Was grown up with the idea that children of Christ should be seen and not heard. Made to be set in the 1940s. Unsure of her sexuality. Hates talking about sex and love but wishes to reclaim this part of herself. White. 19 years of age. No longer christian.

A murderer.

The first were her own parents. After being assaulted by her mother's husband, she was blamed and thrown into a strict bording school to help with her growing perversive nature, so to speak. The time spent there was supposed to build her into being a coward. However, she ended up breaking down into a violent mess. In less than a week back in their home, she'd killed them but was never found out. She now lives elsewhere, wandering the corrupted earth. Waiting for the next waste of space she can take out.

It's disgusting, offensive, and unwearable. But it's human. It's not exactly meant to showcase humanity entirely. No, that's not the message. If anything, what it's meant to present is something sexual and violent. And that's the humanity in this peculiar fragrance.
