My name is Abdul Wahab Zaher Muhammad Al-Hissi, and I’m from Gaza. I’m writing to you with a heavy heart and deep hope.

My home was destroyed during the ongoing war in Gaza, a war that has torn apart not only buildings but countless lives. My family and I were forced to flee and now live in a tent, exposed to the cold, hunger, and thirst, with no sense of safety or stability. Every day is a struggle just to survive.

In addition to losing our home, my father and I were detained by the occupation forces for 52 days. During that time, we were subjected to severe physical and psychological torture, pain, and trauma that we continue to carry with us every single day. The experience left lasting scars, both visible and invisible.

But what breaks us most today is hunger. Gaza is facing famine. My family and I often go days without proper food. The only words I hear around me are “we are hungry.” Bread and flour are now luxuries we cannot afford. Clean water is almost impossible to find. Our bodies are weak, our hearts are heavy, and hope is fading.

I never thought I would have to beg like this, but today I am. Please, I am asking for your help—not for comfort or rebuilding, but simply for survival. Even the smallest donation can mean a little food, a little water, a little hope… maybe even the chance to live another day.

I went home, sat on Tumblr for a while, then suddenly fell asleep at 1:30 a.m. A house next to us, not 50 meters away, was bombed. It was my friends’ house, so I ran quickly, my tears falling, drop by drop. They took one out, so I looked at him and found that he was my new friend, whom I had only met two weeks ago. Then they took out his little sister, who was no more than 10 years old. My heart was beating so fast that it almost stopped. Then they took out the rest.
