The song 'Back to December' by Taylor Swift makes me think of Faith and Ignatius... a lot. So here are some lyrics (not including the one above).
"Because the last time you saw me is still burned in the back of your mind. You gave me roses and I left them there to die." "It turns out freedom ain't nothin' but missin' you." "And then the cold came, the dark days when fear crept into my mind. You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye." "But if we loved again, I swear I'd love you right. I'd go back in time and change it, but I can't, so if the chain is on your door, I understand."

Headcanon: Growing Family
Tumblr media
Ya gurl has had lots of trouble sleeping lately which means I ended up in a number of headcanon rabbit holes. These are some of the results.
Ignatius and Faith have been taking things slowly for a number of reasons. They were both worried about getting hurt again after what had happened between them previously, and they also had Avery to worry about. But, slowly but surely, they began to build a relationship together again.
Things will have been going very well, not only for them both but also Avery. Ig and Avery's bond would be stronger than ever, with the two becoming thick as thieves.
In fact, when Ig decides to ask for Faith's hand in marriage, it is Avery he asks and it is Avery he recruits to help with the plan.
Faith would agree immediately, no doubt with many happy tears. Their wedding wouldn't be an outlandish affair, but a small and intimate wedding with their closest friends there (Aolani, Roman, Calvin, Wren, etc). Faith and Avery would both take Ig's surname, and they would be officially a family.
After a year of marriage, Ig and Faith would decide that they want to grow their family. This time around, it would be more challenging. They are both older, but they are also trying to coordinate it so that the baby wouldn't arrive on a full moon so that Ig could be there.
They'd take every pregnancy test together, both feeling the disappointment when it's negative, but then there would be real excitement when it is positive. They'd share the news with Avery together by giving him a t-shirt saying 'world's best big brother' and he would be more excited than Ig and Faith, offering to give the baby his bed and everything.
The pregnancy itself would go relatively smoothly, albeit with a few hiccups.
Faith would become extremely clingy. The clinginess wouldn't be ideal, especially with Ig having to spend time away from her during a full moon, and the clinginess would also come with increased lust from Faith.
Choosing a name would be difficult. They'd have many long discussions about it, narrowing the lists down to a few possibilities. Even with all of the possibilities, there is one name that lingers at the top of the list. They'd talk to both Aolani and Roman to see how they'd feel about naming their baby, if a girl, Leilani.
Eventually, their baby girl would arrive.
It would be emotional, not only for Faith, but also for Ignatius. This time, he is there for the duration. And both Ig and Avery would be extremely protective of her. Even when Avery would go to Hogwarts when Leilani is just a few years old, he'd be protective, eager to come home and see her for each holiday and teaching her all about magic and the things he's learnt.

Ignatius watched as his son thought about his question for a moment, on whether he wanted to help him or his mother. In the end, he grinned at him and asked if he could help him. “Absolutely,” he said with a smile before Faith said that she would go and start sorting through her things in her room. He nodded to her before she set off towards her room. It left the two boys alone, which normally would end up devolving into goofy shenanigans. But right now the two had a plan, they needed to get his room ready for Faith to join him so Avery grabbed his father’s hand and the two were off towards Ig’s room.
The two reached Ignatius’ bedroom and before they could get started, Avery spoke, causing Ignatius’ heart to stop in his chest before he looked over at his son. He blinked at the question he had just asked him. He asked him why he didn’t want to get married and Ignatius wasn’t sure for a moment how to answer his question, and thought about his son’s question. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to get married, he did, more than anything, but he was far more impulsive than Faith was in the matter, and as she reminded him regularly (not that he minded), they had to think of their son.
Despite how it was obvious Avery wanted them to be married. Like yesterday.
Avery then asked his father if he would change his bedding, making him smile and laugh softly. “I was thinking your mom and I could pick out new sheets, yes,” he said before gently squeezed his son’s hand. “And I would love nothing more than to marry your mother. I’ve wanted to marry her for the longest time. I think I was ready to get married before she was back in the day,” he said with a soft chuckle. “But, it’s not a one person decision to get married, your mother has to agree, and she likes to think things through. We’ll talk about, don’t you worry,” he said with a small smile as he looked at his son.
“You want to see something cool?” He asked his son with a grin, eyes shining with mischief as he pulled his wand from his pocket.

Faith had gone into her room to begin looking at the things that she would need to bring over, but partly because she wanted to give Avery and Ignatius the chance to talk. She imagined, knowing her son as she did, that he would have a few questions he wanted to ask his dad about the entire situation. So she went into her room in order to effectively give them the chance to talk while she sized up her things. They hadn't really talked about what was going to move over, but they'd have the chance to do that once she'd sized things up.
While Faith was doing that, Avery had a few questions for Ignatius, as she predicted. He watched his dad as he explained that he and Faith would pick out new sheets, and Avery hoped that they wouldn't be floral like the ones that his mum had at the moment. But he listened attentively as Ignatius said that he would love to marry Faith, but that that they would have to agree and think things through. "I'll ask her!" he said excitedly, because he really wanted his mum and dad to get married.
Avery was immediately distracted by his dad asking him if he wanted to see something cool. He nodded his head, the smile on his face growing when his dad pulled out his wand. Ignatius had been showing him more magic and his mum didn't seem so scared of it now, but Avery was eager to see this now. He started jumping up and down and chanting "show me, show me!" as he waited for his dad to perform some magic for him.

A chuckle escaped Ignatius’ lips as his son shyly smiled at them, telling them that he wouldn’t mind if they had gotten married. His father knew that he wouldn’t. Avery wanted them to be a normal family, wanted to tell his friends at school that he had a mum and dad who were married and lived in the same house and shared the same bed, just as their parents did. Grant it, Avery was too young to realize that not everyone’s parents were happy, or married, or lived in the same home, for whatever reason. Ignatius didn’t blame him, of course. He had lived his whole life probably getting teased, or getting pitied looks from people when they found out he had no father. Just as Faith had to deal with the stigmas that came with being a single mother.
Faith, of course, was an excellent mother regardless of whether Ignatius was in the picture. She had raised their son on her own and had done a damn good job of it, and if people wanted to be judgmental assholes, that was their problem. Well, their problem and Ignatius’ problem since he tended to be an overprotective loud mouth when it came to those that he loved and cared for. It was especially the case when it came to Faith and he hoped to whatever deity was up there that he would be able to control his attitude if he ever met other parents of Avery’s friends. He wasn’t what people would call…subtle.
Faith brought up the two of them sharing a room and Avery nodded his head excitedly before stated that Ig’s room was best since he had his own bathroom and Ignatius found himself laughing along with his love before their son hugged them. Both of them hugged him back, Ignatius perhaps a bit tighter for a moment before he loosened his grip. The werewolf nuzzled the top of his son’s head briefly before he pulled back. “Would you like to help me and your mother move her things?” He asked, sure that Avery would jump at the chance.”Or you can help me move some of mine to make room for your mother’s?” He asked, glancing between the two.

Faith didn't think that she could love Avery any more than she did at that moment, but then again, that was a thought that she'd had many times since his birth and he always managed to prove her wrong. He was so enthusiastic and excited about the possibility of his parents sharing a room that he just had to interject with his thoughts on which room they should take, declaring that Ignatius' was the best and causing them both to laugh. Ignatius nuzzled the top of Avery's head, a sight that made her melt, and she looked at her imperfect family.
God she loved them more than anything in the world.
Their son seemed to ponder Ignatius' question for a moment, before smiling at his dad. "Can I help you?" he asked, and Faith smiled over at the two of them. "I'll go and start sorting some things out in my room then," she declared, giving Avery a big kiss on his cheek. She set off for her room then, the idea of finally getting to be with Ignatius making her smile as she walked into her room to gather up her things.
That left Avery and Ignatius together, and Avery grabbed a hold of his dad's hand to lead him to the bedroom that his parents would soon share. They reached the room and Avery looked around, eager to get started but also with questions on his mind. "Why don’t you want to get married?" he asked his dad, his attention distracted by the things around the room that demanded his attention. "Will you change your bedding?" Would they buy new bedding or would they just use his? Avery didn't like either of their bedding. His was better with rockets on it.

Faith agreed with Ignatius’ comment about how each couple was different. Avery looked at him before he said that they loved each other. It was a statement, one that both Faith and Ignatius nodded in response to. She confirmed his statement, telling him that they did. Ignatius felt Faith grasp his hand. He looked down at it a moment before he looked back up at his son as he spoke, his question making Ignatius’ heart break in his chest. He looked at his son, his eyes watering slightly at the question, one that would haunt him for the rest of his life. His son was right in saying that Ignatius hadn’t been there like he wished he had been, like they both wished he had been.
The love of Ignatius’ life was quick to speak up, telling their son that it wasn’t Ignatius’ fault. He swallowed hard as she continued, telling him that it was her fault and why it was her fault. She explained that she had been scared of magic and she had left when Ignatius had told her about himself. She said it was after that that she found out she was pregnant, but she was still too scared to go back. It was something that Ignatius still hated. That she had been scared of him. That she hadn’t…trusted him enough to keep her safe. To be fair, magic was scary, but Ignatius felt he was far more scarier now than he had been with his…condition.
Ignatius smiled at  Faith, his tears in his eyes nearly completely receded as she told him that she wasn’t scared now before they both looked at their son as he asked about them not wanting to get married and have more babies and Ignatius couldn’t help but laugh a bit. “I wouldn’t say that,” he added before pausing. “But, having babies is a decision for your mother. I don’t mind spoiling only you for the rest of my life if that’s what she wants,” he told him as he leaned forward to press his lips to the top of his son’s head. “As for us getting married, we haven’t talked about that just yet. It’s a big step and even though we do love each other, we’re taking things slowly, and being better than we were back then,” he told his son. “We want to make sure that we do what’s right for us, but also for you,” he added before glancing at Faith.

Avery, like many children without a parent in their lives, had always been full of questions about Ignatius. It wasn't exactly a topic that Faith had banned, but when it hurt to answer the questions about why his dad wasn't around, Faith did try to avoid them or let him know that she couldn't give him a satisfactory answer. But even with the conversations that they'd had, she had thought she'd done a reasonable job on explaining to their son why he wasn't around. When it was evident that she hadn't, she was quick to jump in and make it clear to Avery that Ignatius' absence in their lives was no fault but her own.
With that answer seemingly accepted, Avery had thrown a really tough question out, in the way that only children could. Faith found herself holding her breath as Ignatius responded, his words turning her stomach into butterflies and causing her heart to beat that little bit faster. She didn't necessarily agree that having babies was a decision purely for her, but she hoped that Ignatius was open to the idea. She loved Avery, but she felt that he deserved to become a big brother in the future... but only if Ignatius wanted that too. She wasn't about to try and force that onto him.
Avery looked at his parents, a timid smile on his face. "I wouldn't mind if you got married..." he muttered, making Faith blush. She glanced over at Ignatius for a moment before turning back to their son. "Well, since we're taking things a little more slowly, how would you feel if your father and I shared a bedroom?" Avery grinned at them, nodding his head quickly. "Dad's room is better. He's got his own bathroom." Faith found herself laughing, the laugh fading as Avery threw his arms around the pair of them. "We love you, Avery," she told him, kissing the top of his head as they all shared a hug. "Love you too," he said, trying his best to squeeze them both hard.

Once the adults had fully cleaned up, they headed into the living area hand in hand to where their son was currently at. He was sitting on the couch, grinning up at his parents as they walked into the room. Faith released Ignatius’ hand, moving to sit on one side of Avery while Ignatius sat down on the other. Faith asked their son if they could talk to him and he asked if he was in trouble. Ignatius chuckled softly as Faith laughed and shook her head, telling him that he wasn’t in trouble. “Not this time anyway,” Ignatius joked as he ruffled his son’s hair, getting a giggle out of him.
Faith continued after grabbing their son’s hand, asking him about when they had, apparently, discussed her and Ignatius sharing a room. He had nodded before she said that they had wanted to talk to him about it. Instead of asking what about, he instead just looked between the two of them and said that other mothers and fathers slept in the same room before he looked down at his lap. Ignatius paused a moment, formulating a response before he spoke up.
“Avery, every couple is different. They have different stories, different…situations. Not all moms and dads are married, like us. Our situation is different, but we’re willing to answer as many of your questions as we can, alright?” He looked over at Faith to see if he was doing this right. He had no clue what he was doing, or how well he was doing, but he was trying. He was still relatively new at this…dad thing. Some things he had taken like a duck to water while others…
Well, he was working on improving.

Having serious talks with Avery had never been easy, and they seemed to get harder the older he got. He had more cohesive thoughts and questions to put to them, so she wanted to ensure that any answers that they gave him were right and made sense to him. She felt bad, as though they had intentionally kept their son in the dark, but that wasn't the case. They were trying to be open with him. It was just going to be a difficult conversation.
Thankfully, Ignatius seemed to notice Faith's hesitation over the question and stepped in. He said that every couple is different and Faith nodded along. Avery looked over at his father. "But you love each other." Faith noticed that Avery hadn't worded it as a question. He looked between them both, clearly not wanting an answer but using the statement to explain why he was so confused.
Even though it hadn't been a question, Faith nodded at her son. "We do," she confirmed, using the free hand not holding Avery's to reach for one of Ignatius'. "But he wasn't here?" Those words broke Faith's heart and she squeezed Avery's hand. "That's not your dad's fault," she said, looking at their son. "That was mine. Your dad had told me about magic and I was scared, so I left. It was only afterwards that I found out that I was expecting you, but I was too scared of magic to go back." She looked over at Ignatius then. "I'm not scared now," she directed those words more towards Ignatius than their son. "So you don't want to get married and have more babies?" Avery asked, causing Faith to turn and stare at him, unsure of what to say.

ignatiusnashtonrp:
Q&A
After an eventful day with their son, it’s time for Faith and Ignatius to talk to their son about them sharing a bed.
Tumblr media
Ignatius had been able to shower, get dressed, and make his bed via magic before his son came home from spending the evening with his Auntie Lani and Uncle Roman. The two were pleased to bring him back it seemed since he was a giant ball of energy. The two of them were not quite used to it and they tended to be more mellow (for the most part…). Still, Ignatius and Faith were excited to see their son and welcome him home, especially since the two of them had something to talk to him about.
They had decided, of course, to talk to him after a day of family time. Avery had decided that they wanted play games and listen to music all day, meaning that they partially played games but also danced around the kitchen to whatever music came on the radio (which was mostly 80s music since Ignatius loved the 80s). After several hours of that, the family had made dinner together after cleaning up the games, but kept the music on so that they could all dance around the kitchen as they cooked together.
It had honestly been the perfect day to get ready to talk to Avery about Ignatius and Faith sharing a bed and sharing a room. It was something that they had yet to breach with Avery and while the boy hadn’t asked his father about it, he had asked his Aunt Lani, Uncle Roman, and apparently his mother as well. So, this was going to be an…interesting conversation.
So once dinner was cleaned up and any leftovers were put away, Ignatius gave Faith a look to tell her that he would let her take the reigns here since, well, he wasn’t quite as experienced as she was in breaking news to their son.

Tumblr media
The decision had been made to have some fun and spend the day with Avery before they would talk to him about Faith moving into Ignatius' room with him, but that didn't mean that Faith wasn't nervous about it. Tackling the subject in the wrong way would cause Avery to react. He was a very emotional boy, known to snap and get angry when he wasn't happy, because he was, after all, just a kid. He didn't have total control of his magical abilities and he certainly didn't have control of his emotions at times.
So Faith distracted herself with making dinner and them putting leftovers away once it was done, she looked over at Ignatius to see the look that he gave her. She nodded her head, taking a hold of his hand so that they could go into the front room together, where Avery currently was. Being the good kid he was, he had pushed all of the dining chairs back into place before sitting down on the sofa, grinning up at his mum and dad as they walked in.
She released Ignatius' hand, going to sit down on one side of their son. "Can we talk to you?" she asked, watching as her son put down the magazine he'd been looking through. He looked over at them both, nodding his head. "Am I in trouble?" he asked, and Faith shook her head with a laugh. "No, you aren't in trouble." She reached over for Avery's hand. "Do you remember when you asked me about why your dad and I don't share a room?" Avery nodded. "Well, we'd like to talk to you about that." Avery looked at Faith and then Ignatius. "Other mums and dads sleep in the same room," he said, looking down at his own lap, and now Faith wasn’t entirely sure what to say to him.

Faith made things clear to Ignatius after she had confused the poor man. To be fair, he hadn’t been a father for that long and was new to this whole raising a son thing. Faith, on the other hand, had several years’ experience in that regard. So when she said that they needed to discuss their son, he was confused, although after she spoke about why she had said they needed to discuss him, it made sense to Ignatius despite how he hadn’t fully understood what she had meant at first.
“Ah,” he said in understanding, nodding his head when she had finished. “I understand now. I thought something was wrong, but I see. Even though he would be happy with our decision, he would be upset because he wasn’t part of the process,” he repeated so that she understood that he understood why she was saying what she was saying. “And it makes sense. He’s been part of all of the major decisions of your life so he would feel upset if he wasn’t part of this one,” he added in understanding.
“Perhaps we can talk to him about it and answer whatever questions he asks us later tonight? Or, if you think that would be too much after his day today, we can talk about it another day, or night. I imagine we can team up and answer any of his questions. I think we’re on the same page?” He asked as he looked down at her, wondering if she thought otherwise. She was leaving this up to her since, well, she knew their son better than he did, and he was sure that she always would. She had raised him on her own and carried him for about 9 months so she would always know him better than Ignatius did.

When Faith had left Ignatius, she'd had no idea she was pregnant. Later, when she'd found out, she'd realised that it would be her and the baby on their own, as she didn't have the courage to go back to Ignatius and tell him how scared and sorry she was. So she and Avery had formed a team, doing everything together. Whenever she made decisions that were important, she'd tried to involve Avery in them, because he was her life and he meant the world to her.
The fact that Ignatius recognised this made a huge difference. She nodded her head as he explained her reasoning back to her, glad that he got it. He suggested that they talk to him about it and answer questions later tonight, before asking if she thought it would be too much after his day. "The sooner the better," she said, though she found her eyebrows raising when he said that he thought they were on the same page.
"I think we're on the same page," she said, sitting up a little. "So we should probably talk to him later tonight." It would give him the chance to unwind after an eventful day, and then they could have a really in-depth talk and answer any of the questions that he had for them. Faith knew the types of things he might ask, since he'd already asked her before, but she was sure that Avery would be likely to have some surprises up his sleeve for them. He constantly took her by surprise.

Faith pulled away from the kiss a moment later and looked up at him, smiling, causing Ignatius to smile back at her. She asked when she should bring some of her things over and he shrugged his shoulders, opening his mouth to answer when she then said that they should probably discuss Avery too, which made Ignatius pause, his eyebrows scrunching together. Now he was confused, and he voiced his confusion.
“What do you mean “discuss Avery”? What do we need to discuss?” He asked, wondering if she knew something about their son that he didn’t. He hoped that everything was okay. He was sure that telling their son about them moving to sleep in the same room wouldn’t be a big ordeal. Hell, he would probably help his mother move her things into Ignatius’ room. He would be the most excited about his parents sharing a room given how heartbroken Aolani said he looked when she and Roman tried to explain to him why his parents didn’t share a room. Of course, Faith’s words meant that Ignatius’ response of “now” in response to her question about moving her things in wasn’t going to work. So, he would wait for her to tell him what she had meant by them discussing Avery and then they would discuss a timeline. It hadn’t occurred to him that their son would react negatively to them sharing a room. He wasn’t sure why he would since he seemed to have wanted that for them. It made them more of a family, both in look and feel. So, Ignatius was confused. Grant it, he hadn’t been around for many of Avery’s…tantrums before so Faith was the expert in that regard.

Tumblr media
Bringing up Avery as she had meant that Ignatius was now looking at her, clearly confused. He asked what they needed to discuss and she met his gaze. "Well, Avery has been asking both Aolani and myself about why we don't share a bed or why we aren't married," she said, doing her best not to let herself get caught up in the idea of marrying Ignatius. "I think that we need to be careful about how we tell him, because he's going to have a lot of questions for us and it's better that we have answers now."
Faith knew her son and, while he would be happy for the two of them, he'd probably want to ask more questions involving marriage and him becoming a big brother. He'd also likely be upset if they'd seemingly moved her into Ignatius' room before they'd had the chance to discuss it with him. "As silly as it sounds, I think that, if we are going to move things across from my room to ours, then he should be involved in that."
She shuffled a little in the bed, using one hand to gently touch Ignatius' cheek. "I don't want to surprise him like I did the first time that you met him." She was sure that Ignatius would remember that meeting, since their son had locked himself in his room and lost control of the magic that he clearly had, which meant that his room had been trashed by the time the two of them had gotten into it. Avery was wonderful, but also sensitive, and she didn't want to upset him again by not keeping him in the loop properly.

Ignatius grinned over Faith as she giggled, telling him that he had tied her out. It made him grin at her and shake his head a little, but he was beaming with pride. It had been a while  after all since they had been together physically like that so there was always the chance that things didn’t go quite as well as he would have hoped. Or he forgot something that she used to like. Sure, she was in control and they were adults who could communicate (for the most part…) but he was glad that he still had it in him to pleasure her and exhaust her as he apparently had.
It wasn’t that Ignatius assuming this was going to happen more often and Faith moving her things into his room, into his space meant that he wasn’t thinking of his son. He was. His son had been asking his Auntie Lani and Uncle Roman about why his parents didn’t sleep in the same room. The former had told him about it so that perhaps he could talk to Faith about it, but she hadn’t brought it up to Faith, and honestly Ignatius hadn’t either for fear he would seem like he was pressuring her into something she may have wanted, but wasn’t ready for. He had wanted her to make that choice herself, and now she had, well, sort of.
With Ignatius’ words out in the open, his desires out for Faith to know, it made him breathe a bit easier. Faith just grinned at him, which showed him that she was feeling the same way, before she leaned forward, pushing her lips against his. He smiled, returning her kiss, which honestly stirred something deep within him that he tried to ignore since right now was not the time for that, especially as she broke their kiss, pulling away to tell him that she wanted it too and that she loved him. He grinned back at her. “I will always love you,” he told her against her lips as she kissed him.

There had been one moment, not long ago, when Avery had asked her why she and Ignatius didn't share a bed, or why they weren't married. It wasn't a question that she hadn't been able to answer to his satisfaction, and while she'd told him that she couldn't give him an answer, he'd not been happy with that. He'd asked her again later and she'd had to talk with him and ask that he didn't ask the question any more. He'd wanted to, of course, but Avery had clearly seen that he wasn't getting an answer from his mother.
But now they were going to share a bed, and they would be able to tell their son that his parents were actually together. Even as they kissed, Faith couldn't help the smile on her lips. She just felt happy, lying in bed with the man that she loved and feeling as though they finally had a future together. What that future might be she wasn't sure, but they were together again and that was what really mattered to her.
She pulled back from his lips, still smiling at him. "When should I bring some of my things over?" she asked him, pressing her lips together. "And we should probably discuss Avery too," she added, wondering what was going to be the best way to approach the topic with their son. It was going to be a big deal to him, since he'd already asked her (and likely also his dad) about why they weren't sharing a room.

Faith told Ignatius that he had showered the night before and he laughed and shook his head. “No, my dear, I had to pee. You must have been exhausted to think I was gone long enough to shower,” he teased, unable to help himself. He had gone into the bathroom to relieve himself and clean himself up a bit, but he hadn’t taken a shower. It was why there was a hand towel in his dirty laundry basket now and his towel in his bathroom that he used when showering was bone dry. Still, he wasn’t about to go into the details of that unless she specifically asked about it. He wasn’t embarrassed, he just didn’t think it was an interesting topic of conversation.
“I cleaned my dick off with a wet rag” just wasn’t thrilling in the slightest.
In response to his question, Faith told Ignatius that she had slept better last night than she had in a long time, making him smile. She asked about him, her chin resting on his chest as she looked up at him. He nodded his head. “Like a rock,” he told her, glad that she had been with him during the night. It had made him sleep easier knowing that if anyone came through any doors or windows of the home, they would have to get through him to get to her, which made him sleep far better than any other night. It also helped that Avery was somewhere safe for the night so the werewolf father didn’t have to worry.
Ignatius was pulled from his thoughts as Faith spoke, telling him that she had meant what she had said the night before about hating going to bed at night alone before she suggested that last night was a one off and he honestly felt offended. He blinked down at her. “…did I give you the impression that last night was a one off?” He asked her curiously. “Maybe I should have been more straight forward when I mentioned wanting you to move your shower stuff into my master bathroom so you could smell like you and not me.” He looked her in the eyes and grasped at her hand that had brushed his hair from his face. “I love you and I want you sharing this space. My bedroom, my bathroom. I want it to be our bedroom and our bathroom.”

Faith had assumed, in the haze of sleep that had drifted over her last night, that Ignatius would have showered. She found herself smiling when he explained where he'd been, giggling a little as he teased her. "You tired me out," she replied, smiling over at him. And she wasn't even sorry about it. That was the best sleep she'd had in a long long time, and finally getting into bed with Ignatius again was everything she'd hoped that it would be and more. It was just a matter of whether or not that might happen again in the future.
He asked her if he'd given her the impression that the night before had been a one off, but she didn't have the opportunity to reply as he continued speaking. For Faith, it was simply a case of being cautious, because at the heart of every decision she made was the question of "how will this affect Avery?" So she tended to be cautious and, while she often let her guard down around Ignatius, her son still took precedent.
Ignatius went on to grab a hold of the hand she'd used to brush hair from his face, telling her that he loved her and wanted to share the space with her. She found herself smiling, the smile widening as he declared that he wanted it to be their bedroom and bathroom, and she leaned in to kiss him hard on the lips. "I want that too," she told him as she pulled herself reluctantly away from his lips. "I love you so much." She was still grinning at him as she kissed him again, with absolutely no awareness of the time or anything but him.

After laying down with Faith in his arms, it didn’t take long for the werewolf to fall asleep. It wasn’t that he was exhausted from the night’s activities, but he was feeling better than usual, not as frustrated. His body felt rested, truly rested for once and the wolf was satiated as well as he could be and so the night had been easy. He had slept deeply and comfortably and as such when Faith had awoken and shifted out from under his arms, he hadn’t moved. He had stayed where he was, resting peacefully.
Well, for the most part.
When he heard the sound of the shower turning on, Ignatius had awoken rather quickly when he realized Faith wasn’t beside him. He paused a moment, forcing himself to calm down since she was obviously in the shower and he could smell nothing new in his home. He then laid back down, taking a deep breath before closing his eyes to get a little more rest, or at least try to. He knew that when Faith returned to bed, he would be awoken once more. The warmth of her body would return beside his, which would be interesting.
It wasn’t long after he had closed his eyes that he started to doze off and Faith returned to him. He smiled as he felt her snuggle up to him, his arms around her. He gave her a little squeeze and pressed a kiss to where he could reach. “A bit unfair only one of us is clean, you know,” he teased, unable to help himself. He wrinkled his nose as he smelled his shampoo and body wash. “We’ll need to move your things into the bathroom though. I prefer you smelling like you,” he stated before he yawned. “How did you sleep?” He inquired, his voice deep and rough with sleep as he loosened his grip on her slightly so he wasn’t still squeezing her.

Faith found herself smiling now that she was back in the warmth of Ignatius' arms, though she shook her head at his comment. "You showered last night," she replied, still feeling a little tired but grateful that they didn't have to get up just yet. They had plenty of time before Avery would be home, and Faith wanted to spend that time with Ignatius, even if that was just lying together in bed without getting dressed until the minute before their son arrived home.
She wanted to comment on his words, when he said about moving her things into the bathroom. But he followed it up with a question and that took priority. "I slept better than I have in a long time," she admitted to him, moving slightly so that she could rest her chin on his chest and look up at him. "What about you? Did you sleep well?" she hoped he had, but she'd been so out of it that she had absolutely no idea how he might have slept.
"I meant what I said last night," she told him, feeling a little nervous. "I do hate going to bed every night alone, and I understand if last night was just a one off, but I love you, Nate." She moved her hand towards his face, brushing some of his hair out of the way. "I want to be with you, properly, sharing a bed like we used to do. I just need to know if that's what you want too." If he didn't then she didn't know how she would deal with that. She knew that she'd have to, but she didn't think she could take that rejection right now. Not after last night.

Faith allowed Ignatius to gently pull her down on top of him so that she could take a moment to rest and catch her breath. Her face buried in his neck as she attempted to catch her breath. Ignatius had already almost fully recovered while she was still trying to. It was a part of him being a werewolf that he knew from when he had gotten off using his hand instead of another person. To be honest, a part of him was thankful for it since that meant he was able to go about his business after some sexual stress relief. He liked it even more now because it meant that he could take care of Faith.
She had spoken, telling him that it was incredible and he chuckled softly, quietly, as she kissed at the side of his neck. “Didn’t last quite as long as I’d have liked, but we can work on that,” he joked before he moved to press his lips to her forehead (which was…quite a feat to be honest). He smiled softly when she told him that she loved him. “I love you too,” he murmured to her before he looked down at her, seeing that her eyes were closed. He didn’t want to wait until she was dead asleep to move her, so he carefully turned the two of them so that she was laying on her side and removed himself from her.
The werewolf got up, and went to the bathroom, before he returned to the gorgeous woman in his bed. He grabbed an extra blanket that he had and laid it over the top of her naked form before he slipped on some boxers for himself and crawled back into bed (just in case he needed to jump awake for anything, he liked to be prepared). He slipped behind Faith, wrapping his arms around her before he rested his head against his pillow, falling asleep soundly beside his love. He wasn’t sure what the following day would hold, but he was more than sure that he was ready for it.
So long as it wasn’t their son rushing into the room.

From their conversations about the werewolf and the changes that Ignatius had gone through, Faith knew that he didn't typically stay down long after a fight. What she hadn't expected was that same resilience after sex. He'd managed to return his breathing to a normal level while she was still working on catching her breath. She felt his chuckle in her hair, smiling along with him as he mentioned about them working on how long he could last in the future. She wanted to reply, to tell him that she'd like that, but her body felt drained by that point.
Gently, Ignatius moved her and then removed himself from her. Before he'd even left the room, she found herself drifting off to sleep in his bed, shifting slightly only when he returned and wrapped his arms around her. She snuggled closer to him, mind not fully coming out of the sleeping state, and for the first time in a while she slept through without waking up.
When she did wake, she checked the time to see that she'd been asleep for at least eight hours. Moving carefully so that she didn't wake Ignatius, she slipped from the bed and headed for the bathroom, having a very quick shower before she returned to his bed. She crawled back in beside him, snuggling right back where she'd been the night before, her arms resting over his around her body. She wanted to tell him that she'd meant what she said about hating going to bed alone, but she wasn't sure if this might just be a once off.
She really hoped that it wasn't.

“I couldn’t move my arm all night, you know. Are you happy?”
“*giggles* Well, it’s very comfy. I wish I could stay here forever...”
“Heh. We’ve already slept in long enough. But... I suppose a few more minutes won’t hurt anyone.”

Ignatius was thankful he was able to keep some semblance of control as he raised his hips to meet with Faith’s. His hands gripped at her hips tightly as he helped her move. He wanted to flip them over, taking her with a ferocity that the wolf demanded, but he couldn’t, not now, not this time with her. That was something that they may work up to, or that they may never work up to. He didn’t want to hurt her and he really hoped that he didn’t. Some bruises on her hips were acceptable so long as they didn’t hurt her too badly, but hurting her in other ways? He wouldn’t be able to forgive himself.
The werewolf felt Faith’s body getting closer to her release as he continued to help her reach her high, and in turn reach his own. She started to change his name and his thrusts up into her became faster, although not as hard as he would have liked given the angle. Her thighs tightened around his as her hips jerked above him, her walls squeezing him, tightening around him. He grunted as he continued to thrust up into her, chasing his own high as he felt her reach hers.
With one final thrust up, that perhaps was harder than he intended, he reached his high, growling loudly at the feeling of his release. His hips stuttered against hers, grip tightening on her hips briefly before he slowly released his grip, his fingertips easing to rest gently on her skin before they slowly moved up her sides, trying to be soothing and relaxing as he laid under her panting. He would be able to move shortly, being able to cater to whatever Faith needed. He looked at her, his eyes searching her face and body to make sure she was okay before his arms moved to wrap around her and gently pull her down to rest on top of him so she could catch her breath.

Faith couldn't really remember the details of the last time that they had made love. Unfortunately, they had faded over time. But she knew that the love that they had made back then did not compare to this. This was far more intense than it could ever have been, and she gripped onto Ignatius tightly as her body found its release. She could feel him still moving beneath her, thrusting up harder into her and eliciting a gasp from her at the pressure, hearing him growling as she felt him come right after her.
If she wasn't so spent, that noise might have made her want to continue.
She felt his fingers release their grip on her hips before he moved up her sides. She was breathing hard, as was he, though it would take her a little longer to recover. Her mouth felt dry and everything around her felt a little hazy, except for the man beneath her. She looked down at him, watching the way that his eyes roamed over her face and body, as though checking that she was fine. God, how she loved him.
His arms wrapped around her and he gently pulled her towards him, with Faith relaxing against him and burying her face into his neck. She was still trying to catch her breath and she could feel the sweat on her body already starting to cool. "That was incredible," she told him, placing a kiss against his neck as she continued to work on slowing down her breathing from panting to something more normal. "I love you, Nate," she told him, closing her eyes as she did.
