something about martyn and ren's first encounter being in a phantom attack. something about phantoms being mobs that attack you because you haven't slept, because you don't have anywhere to sleep, because you don't have a home. something about ren protecting martyn by inviting him into the space beneath soon-to-be-Renchanting, by giving him that home...

the fact that the only time Ren has only really managed to be an effective red name when he was the Red King with his own little hype squad and that his entire lacklustre performance in past life was largely due to his own reluctance to be mean is kinda cementing my belief that his red king persona was an insane sort of roleplay coping mechanism. And then the fact that Ren completely lost his composure after murdering Scott in cold blood in 3L, dragged his team into a suicide mission for to regain his honour and died. And then spent the entire first episode of Last Life self-immolating at random. He preferred to view Pearl as possessed in Double Life because that’s the only way he could rationalise her reputation. Martren. His reluctance to leave his pyramid in Past Life. His arbitrary self-imposed rules in Wild Life. There’s so many little things that add up to this picture of him being completely unable to withstand the implications of violence. Get my dog out of there! He’s falling victim to escapism over and over!

Your art has genuinely inspired me to a level i havent found from any other artist in my YEARS or drawing. Past life ep 8 spoilers

Did you guys know mars (martyns celestial symbol has two moons?

One moon for Cleo, and the other for ren?

The 2 moons near mars are Phobos and deimos, phobos is ren to me. Phobos is slowly moving closer to mars, like how Ren is pretty much always on good terms with martyn every life series

Deimos could Cleo, It’s smaller of Mars's two moons, is composed of carbon-rich rock and a thick, pulverized layer of dust and debris. Aka it’s made of multiple things like how Cleo is patched up

point being, mars two moons, do what you want with that information, you can switch up the people representing the two moons (ren and Cleo) this is just how I see it
