hands move down to sit on her hips, if for nothing but to keep a strong facade. if she’s honest, she’s growing very TIRED, unsure of it ever ends. every day they beat one villain, another is brewing. maybe the world is just doomed. jess travels a little further away, deciding that a little background noise wouldn’t hurt them. pressing the on button, the tv that doesn’t see to much use fills the room with light, jess wincing slightly, only for a second as her eyes adjust to the images that flash along the screen, a giant metal RING being most compelling, ❝ what the HELL is that thing. ❞

------- for the first time in years, decades even . . jess begins to cry. she’s not even sure why the tears fall so heavily, but she expects that’s why they do. everything in this new life is unknown, she knew that — but this overwhelming wave of emotion is something else, . . something more painful, ❝ i could killed everyone. ❞ it’s RESPONSIBILITY. for years she’s operated under the pretense of evil, all her actions having dire consequence, but no guilt. being the good guy, there’s always more you could have done. maybe not jess herself, with how volatile her powers are in their raw state, but if someone had have died — who knows how she would have dealed with it, ❝ i could have killed YOU. ❞

peter swallowed thickly at the question, feeling his stomach churn at the thought. “wait, is strange the wizard guy? man, i love him. he’s so cool!” he chuckled. “sorry, i’ll be more professional.” peter stated before pulling a very serious face. “he has two: power and space. i-i have no clue what’s we can do to stop him, but i know for a fact that me as one guy, i can’t do it on my own.”

❝ ------ yeah, he’s okay. bit of a dick, really, but i would be too if i could move shit with my mind. ❞ it’s cute that the fellow is so excited. she’s lost the ability to be taken aback by others, especially since it usually meant that danger was following close behind. jess rests her frame against the nearest wall, letting a small sigh leave her. it never ended for the good guys it seemed, something she was learning after HYDRA. she places her hand out in attempt to reconcile a bit of hope, eyes sincere, ❝ well, i’m in. as much as i can help. i don’t know if my pheromone manipulation will come much in handy, but i’m sure i can try and kick his ass. ❞ what’s she got to lose?!

------- cue sheepish green. jess’ll pretend to brush it off, but she’s hiding a rather HUGE grin. after all these years of beind told she’s a monster by HYDRA, it’s something special to be called a hero, especially from a fellow spider. she doesn’t exactly believe it, but the kid has flattered her, ❝ tony probably paid you to say that. ❞
