“She wants us to appreciate the beauty of the world and our own humanity instead of yearning to be something ‘super special’ that sets us above the rest. She echoes the teachings of the Magdalene, in that being human IS to be divine. This was the truth she discovered from the tree and one she wants us all to fully understand.”
Love that!
A lengthy article I wrote about Mother Eve and my experience with her.

Saw a tiktok asking "are you a daughter of Lilith or daughter of Eve?" And of course basically asking if you're rebellious or submissive, with folks in the comments calling Eve passive or a 'pick me'.
What version of Genesis did these guys read?!

If art imitates life, scripture likewise reflects it in both holiness and horror. Reflections themselves neither mandate nor manufacture change, yet by enabling insight, they may inspire repentance. In other words, sad stories may yield new beginnings.

Note that many scholars and theologians find her consent questionable as she was called for sex/marriage by a king aka she couldn’t really say ‘no’.
I don’t think she was treated fairly at all, and I don’t think the Bible really does her justice, being written by men. I respect her, though, for standing up for herself as a queen and causing her own son to be an heir to the throne through whom the messiah would come.
Some scholars identify King Lamuel with Solomon, in which case, Bathsheba’s own words were memorialized in Proverbs 31.

David and Bathsheba
The story of David and Bathsheba is one of the most dramatic accounts in the Old Testament. One night in Jerusalem, King David was walking upon his rooftop when he spotted a beautiful woman bathing nearby (2 Samuel 11:2). David asked his servants about her and was told she was Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah the Hittite, one of David’s mighty men (2 Samuel 23:39). Despite her marital status, David summoned Bathsheba to the palace, and they slept together.
