Once again, more art based off of the amazing fic Weapon By Name made by @cnwolf-brainrot !! Because Chapter 53 was just SO GOOD that it needed a comic.

I havent made a comic in years but I was so interested in everything happening in chapter 53 that I couldn't pick just one scene to draw. It was so good!! I really love how this comic turned out!

A Forgotten Face

He stared into the mirror. It had been a long time since he looked in a mirror. Really looked.

His eyes scanned over his appearance but nothing looked right.

Since the moment he realized that he was a shapeshifter, he'd hidden and became someone else so often. So often that- now, he couldn't help but feel an ache in his chest as his eyes stared back at him.

Is this him?

He had settled into his own home, just a year ago, and yet, he felt like he hadn't seen his own face in ages. He didn't have any photographs framed in his home, and barely any photos taken from his phone.

Even scrolling through those images, it didn't feel like it was himself that he was looking at. It felt like there was a pit in his stomach that he couldn't bear.

His hands poked at his cheeks, ran across his face, trying to-- he didn’t know what he was trying to do. He didn't notice his breathing picking up or the swell of tears in his eyes.

His pained expression stared back at him.

He couldn't remember his own appearance.

He couldn't remember if his face ever truly looked like this with his rounded jaw or if his eyes were truly this faded gold color. He couldn't remember if his hair had been this same dark brown, styled and cut short. He couldn't remember if he had freckles to begin with, or if he'd had this birthmark beneath his jaw.

His lips trembled as he let out a shaky breath. He had pretended to be so many people that he wasn't able to find himself anymore.

He had thought that he would've been happier not being himself. But, with this ache deep in his heart, he wasn't able to believe that anymore. And it felt like a dam broke when his tears flooded his eyes, blurring his reflection.

The blur looked more like himself than what was reflected back at him

I had to draw two important things that happened in CH.48 and CH.51

So much happened in that span of time 😭😭

Jayvik becomes objectively more tragic when you remember that Jayce’s whole life, he has been entranced by magic. It was his reason to research, to pursue discovery- when he was faced with losing it, he was prepared to end it all.

And then Viktor became that magic. He literally embodied it and became one with the magic that Jayce was enraptured by, and it was all Jayce’s fault-

And then that magic turned out to be corrupt. Dangerous. And again- it was All. Jayce’s. Fault. He dreamt too big. Flew too close to the sun. Fucked his and Viktor’s and everyone is Piltover’s lives up, without anyone’s consent but his own.

Imagine the guilt of that, for a second. That your entire life’s purpose became the biggest threat to life itself. That your greatest discovery would lead to the greatest destruction your world has ever seen.

And not only that- but it is animating the corpse of your partner, is connected to their soul in a way that you cannot undo-

I do not blame Jayce for snapping, for destroying what he’d created. It must’ve cleaved his heart into two, to do so. In one fell swoop, the two reasons he’d had for existing- Viktor and his magic- gone.

It was not callous. It was not cold. It was a kamikaze mission for Jayce.

Viktor’s death was akin to Jayce’s own. In bringing down the axe on Viktor, he tightened the noose around his own neck.

In killing Viktor, he killed them both.

Just finished reading " Coming Home (But Not to You) "by queercatfan on AO3/ @lesbianherald on Tumblr and absolutely loved it.

One specific scene had caught my eye and I just had to draw it! I finally got around to doing so!

I adored this scene, just the domesticity of it. I was feeling for Jayce throughout this whole story but the ending was so worth it.

Just a sketch because the background is killing me, but this scene totally had to be drawn. I really like how it turned out!
