saw someone describe Laura Palmer's bedroom as "your grandma's guest room" and it's honestly so true? now I'm kind of fascinated by how impersonal it is, how it manages to feel both too old and too young for her all at once.

Sarah Palmer clearly decorated this room at one point, and Laura never cared to offer input or to make it her own it later on. No posters, no pics of Bobby or Donna, no piles of CDs (or I guess in 1989 it'd be cassettes?)
