Coworkers and boss: (deathly silence)

My bestie two weeks later when I tell her about my clever joke: "Oh no honey. That was an inside thought. But it just slipped out, didn't it? Yeah. Yeah, you really gotta work on that. Maybe just...never talk about trump at work, mmkay?"

My friend did a PLA print with organic shaped supports and it looks like poor MB is being consumed by TargetControlSystem. It cleaned up nice tho! I was worried about the right hand fingers, where they don't touch the leg, but they cleaned up nice when I used the jewelry files. Next, paint!

25 years ago, newly graduated from (rural fundamental christianist) high school and trying to figure shit out, I happened to watch a show on Discovery or TLC about trans people. The cameras followed one person to a difficult coming out to their parents, among a lot of other interviews and stuff. Some of it was almost educational.

And I thought wistfully to myself, that if I ever had a child and they were trans I would love and support the shit out of them and protect them and fight for and alongside them. I kinda wanted that. I wished I could guarantee a trans or queer kid, if I ever had kids. So that I could be their protector and nurturer.

It took me 20 more years to realize that the queer trans child I wanted to protect and love and nurture so badly was myself.

So here we go: another year of radical self-love, -acceptance, -nurturing, -discovery, -celebration! Let's see where this wild life goes next.

Yesterday I was explaining a slightly abnormal pap smear to a patient, and what the next steps for follow up would be. Toward the end of the call, I meant to say that would send info and links to the patient's MyChart.

What came out was: "...and I'll send some more information right to your cervix!" 🤦🏼
