Imagine this, Iceman coming home after saving Maverick from getting grounded again. He’s tired and just wants to see his Smol Captain™️.

Iceman, lovingly: Mav, I’m back from saving your ass.

Crashing noises from the house.

Iceman: Nothing new.

Barking noises

Iceman: I stand corrected.

So he goes in, and see’s Maverick with this feral dog in his arms. Iceman clears his throat and Maverick jumps so high it reminds him of when they played volleyball.

Maverick: Ice, I found a dog!

Iceman: I can see that Mav.

Maverick: It reminded me of you. I leaned down to pet it and it tried to bite my face off.

Iceman: That’s ni- wait w h a t.

Maverick: You know, the lil teeth snap.

Iceman: First of all, I wasn’t trying to eat your face back then. Well, yes I was, but not in the literal way. Second of all, I can’t talk you out of this, can I?

Maverick: Nope :)

So now they have a dog. And as much as Iceman tries to deny that he likes the dog, Maverick finds them cuddled up on the couch so often he gets a lil jealous.
