Aziramichael doing a guest spot for his then-gf Sarah Silverman's TV show. Video here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1889209724741641 His sweet uncertain mannerisms here are just so adorable. The dark glasses framing his blue eyes, and the blonde hair. *faint*

Hello Darlings! It's been a while. I'm sifting through Bright Young Things again, scavenging for more Miles because I need it. 😂 I was mostly taking many screenshots for facial expression references, but here are a few GIFs that i've made today. I'll mix in a few screenshots because he's pretty. Somehow I forgot that this smoochy moment existed and its giving me life. She ran across an entire room, dodging people just to give him kissies. She places her hand on his hand, which is holding a cane (unexplained why he has a cane in this scene.. Stephen Tennant reference perhaps?) I've included a few stills for you since it's so quick. I did slow the gif down as much as I could.
Miles and Mummie have a conference before he attempts to get Mrs Ape's attention, or perhaps hook her with the cane to drag her offstage? It didn't work but it was really hilarious to me, like I saw a random moment that Michael created and it was caught on film. A close-up, because I thought it was so cute that he's making that face while shouting at her. Nose wrinkled, eyes squinting, brows angry, mouth growling. The makeup is really doing its job, you can really see his expression despite the light and blur effect from the camera swinging.
Ending with a cute flirty-eyed Miles, because I'm weak for him. Send help.

Finishing up the last of what I have of "The Gospel Of Us" (aka The Passion of Port Talbot). Somehow I missed the part where he trudges through town in GIFs. But here's the remainder.
Above, Michael is put in the local jail and spends the night here. (Day 1 he slept on a grassy hill.. so I suppose at least he is protected from the elements and people here. lol) He did a quick scene with the ghost of Teacher's daughter and that was it for the night. There's a quick moment of him crying at the end that I didn't capture. After this, he's put on fake trial, and then paraded through town, moving from the shopping center to the roundabout near Aberavon Beach, dragging the cross for 7 miles. At the end we reach this moment:
Looking respectfully, I swear. 😗
And then, up he goes! Screaming like a madman for a few minutes as the pain sets in, before Teachers memory is jogged and he recalls beautiful memories of his town. These memories were given to him in advance. The townspeople were asked to write on slips of paper their favorite memories of what they missed about the town.. people who had died, places that were now defunct, everything. He read as many papers as he could in advance and recalled as much as he could when up there. The most important one to him was the name of Michael's childhood friend who had died young.
On "Gospel Of Us" it allowed us to see the same view as he did as he went up. That bobble above his head is a camera. He said it was a concern that he was so vulnerable up there, anyone could've done something to him. Luckily no one did. Note that as he goes up, red rose petals from his thorny crown fall from his body. Getting misted with cold water as a "well of memories spring up out of the ground". He was very cold. Michael said that one of the scenes showed the wedding of his parents, Meyrick and Irene. The only time I could spot people was during this shot, so I think it's the purpley moment played here. The orangey portion is a fire inside a building. I love how the camera flashes illuminate him from the front. Note that his head is up at the beginning of the gif, then it flops downward as he "passes." His silhouette is just *chefs kiss*

Crazy scenes from "Gospel of Us" (aka. "Passion of Port Talbot") the 72 hr theatre play put on by Michael Sheen which took place at various locations around his hometown of Port Talbot in Wales. Everything you see here is staged or fake for the sake of the play. It took place on Easter weekend and mirrored the Easter story. This would be the moment where jeebus is captured by the romans, etc.
Since the audience wasn't allowed inside the shopping centre to view this scene, the audience waited outside and viewed it on big screens that were placed around so as not to miss it. The 3 ladies in the room with him are the ghosts of Teacher's mother, wife and daughter, played by actresses. The posters were at the beginning of the film to raise awareness around Port Talbot that Michael was about to do *something* in his town (he was very secretive about the fact that it was a play). He banded his entire town together to put on this play. Passion has been his magnum opus and continues to attempt to achieve another such achievement (perhaps Nye).
Can we all fully appreciate how absolutely AMAZING Michael was in this scene?? The drop and roll across the hard floor, and the flail as he's hit and flung to the floor. Flawless performance! This film really showcases how wonderful he is at falls. I'm sure football trained him for this moment. lol All performed in his childhood shopping mall where he'd get slush puppies and fries and sit to eat his lunch every day. LOL It must have been surreal.

That beautiful big-eyed glance followed by the silliest jog to his bed is my favorite thing in the Nye dance scene. He's probably mimicking a 1920s dance (wrong era) or perhaps tapdance movements?
Poor Michael was sick while filming Nye so that's all I can think of while watching this scene. Luckily he spends a lot of time lying in bed for the rest of the show.
Gifs are taken from a camera facing a cinema screen, so bad quality but thats all we have til the release. I didn't take this vid, btw.

Gospel Of Us - Saturday Night - Last Supper flashback After his mother shows Teacher a photo of a forgotten memory depicting he and his daughter on the beach, he panics and pulls follower Joanna into a separate room to confess something. This moment is silent, we do not get to hear what he's confessing. My novice lipreading skills can only go so far bc I can barely see the silhouette of his mouth and the video is chopped up. But a possibility is "Joanna.... (tells her something then holds her face in his hands) ..Its important and we have to." Joanna was in the original stories. She was a wealthy wife who had Teacher heal herself and then brought her son to Teacher to be healed. Afterwards she left with Teacher to travel with him and she (along with the other women) paid for all the expenses of the trip. She left her son and her abusive husband behind, Cuza manager of King Herods palace (Romans). She was present at the Resurrection.

Gospel Of Us/Passion of Port Talbot - Saturday night (Day 2) Teacher dancing with the spirits/memories of his daughter, mother and wife. Afterwards his father speaks to him from high above to ask him to pick up a piece of fallen slate and hand it to him. Teacher is terrified to do this because symbolically he's committing to his fate as if signing away his life for his cause. Father: "It's a shame isn't it, seeing a shattered slate? All that work put into it, all that strength, the grain broken. It's that way sometimes. It has to happen."
Teacher: "Does it? WHY?" (sad, scared)
Father: "People need it sometimes. It's like a warning, a sign. Ya know, tell them there's something wrong with their roof. People always forget about that. And you can't tell people anything! A slate has to fall before they hear you. One has to fall and then they listen. Shame." Teacher: "I suppose so." (sad, scared) Father: "What do you mean 'I suppose so?' What is one slate to a whole roof in the end? To a whole house? Small sacrifice, I'd say. Have you found that piece of slate yet?" Teacher: "Yes.. It's broken." F: "Nevermind, pass it up, son. ....Son? You're going to pick it up." T: "Do I have to?" (tears in his voice)
F: "Pick up the slate, son. Pick it up now."
