having adhd is not an excuse to demolish your attention span. you have to let yourself be bored sometimes. watching shortform content 8 hours a day at 2x speed is setting yourself up for failure and misery in the real world. ive had adhd since i was little and i actively work to keep my attention span well maintained because having that makes everything more bearable. go to the bathroom without your phone. watch that minute long tiktok on regular speed without subway surfers. reject brainrot and be an intelligent species that doesn't want to kill themslef when they have to watch a normal movie or sit in a waiting room without a device for 15 minutes. your life will be so much better

hate liking media that has horrible fandoms. when i say i like my hero academia i can't preface it everytime with a huge explaination about why specifically i like it because of the interesting concept and worldbuilding but there's lots of distsasteful anime stuff in it i could do without and stuff i would change especially for the writing yadda yadda i just have to say yeah i like mha. and then people think you're an average mha fan. mouthwashing too. i love that game dearly but holy fuck. the fandom. the fandom is straight up embarassing. i have a passive interest in the amazing digital circus also because of its cool concept and theming around symbolism and mental health and exploring the different ways humans cope with/react to the same situations but when you say you like tdac everyone imagines a drooling obnoxious 6 year old that wants to fuck the rabbit man. i think the only media i like that i actively engage in the fandom for is tf2 because the corners i lurk of it are pretty decent

anyway i think whenever i tell someone im a fan of something i should be allowed to dump my borderline video essay deep dive script about it on them. purely because i want to infodump i dont actually really care what people think its not gonna stop me. it does stop tons of other people from enjoying things though and that's ass. everyone has their own reasons for liking something and don't deserve to be automatically shoved into fandom boxes they may not like or agree with
