Hi, do you accept any request? If so, I would like a drawing of Cassunzel Romeo and Juliet au Tomb scene please

Rapunzel as juliet
Cassandra as Romeo

I'll be honest, I had this sitting in my inbox for a couple months or so because I was originally debating whether or not it was worth or appropriate engaging at all (publicly or otherwise), then I forgot about it, then I saw other artists humoring this person in the tags over the past few days, and now I'm peeved all over again.
I don't know if you've been slipping under the e-begging radar because Cassunzel, but you really gotta stop doing this. I don't even care if your asks are kink-adjacent or not, which is a possibility judging by a quick scroll through your blog -- fishing for free art is just bad etiquette. I don't think you're looking for artists who have open requests, either since it looks like you've just been shooting these asks out to whoever.
And I say this with all the sincerity to others -- I know it can be flattering and exciting to get a prompt in your inbox, because I can relate with wanting others to be interested in your art and asking to see more of it, but given the fact we've already had weirdo serial e-beggars/fetish miners in the fandom before (looking at the Donkey Varian person and Tall Varian Anon⢠here), it's still important to exercise at least some caution whenever a rando crawls into your inbox. I've seen really pretty art come out of this ask, but I think artists deserve better than having an opportunist slink into their inboxes and capitalize on mutual interest in a ship like this.

Ikr! Itâs so tough! The only descriptions we get for them are: âyoung womanâ or âyoung manâ lol
Me listening to Rapunzel and the Vanishing Village for the 150th time: Joaquin definitely killed Wolf and Stellaâs parents.
My theory- Joaquin wants everything under his control, he hates people who challenge his authority/rules, which was the reason why he kidnapped Stella and Cass. The scraps of information we get about Stella and Wolfâs parents describe them as very creative people who taught their children to be inquisitive. Joaquin knew that the parents would stand in the way of his takeover, so he killed them during the âgreat stormâ.
My evidence: Literal scraps. He has this weird hatred for Wolf and Stella, says that he hopes that Wolf doesnât lose his way because it can ârun in the familyâ and thatâs all Iâve got.

Yes! :D
What does he look like in your mind? In mine, heâs a skinny, dark haired man, dressed in a suit. He gives off Count Olaf vibes đ

people saying that the live action how to train your dragon is good actually because it's basically just a shot for shot remake of the original... then why the fuck would I watch it when I can just watch the (more visually stunning, not a blatant cash grab) original

No problem, sorry I didnât read it that way, it was my fault for not checking first. Iâm autistic and satire in text really, really confuses me, especially because there are a lot of posts that are similar in this fandom that mean it dead seriously.
*Varian, a 14 year old child who's in an intense amount of grief who has been wronged by a whole kingdom, commits several war crimes*
The kingdom: SEND HIM TO PRISON FOR LIFE!
*Cassandra, a grown woman who's dragging out a beef that happened over 2 decades ago and actively tries to destroy the entire kingdom several times*
The kingdom: Well, she's the princesses best friend, so she's kind of valid, I guess.

Itâs ok. Idk itâs probably just because I know people who have gone through what Cass went through and Iâve also had repressed memories like she has, so seeing people joke about it and almost devalue it makes me uncomfortable. I find that in this fandom itâs only ever Cassâ trauma that gets joked about and called silly, while everyone elseâs is taken seriously.
Thatâs ok đ.
Itâs a time skip and it definitely wasnât a couple of hours because of the castle. When Rapunzel runs through the castle and into the throne room, everything is as it was. The throne room was practically destroyed and had the portal to the lost realm in it but now itâs all fixed and the portal is gone. It would not have taken a matter of hours to fix that massive castle.

But why? Again, Varian didnât face any consequences after the Saporian stuff, so why should Cass. Again, she made the decision herself, to give up the moonstone and fix what she started.
That is true, but to be fair on Cass, there is a time skip between the hug and when she leaves, so we donât know what happens in that time. They were trying to wrap things up and didnât have ample time to cover everything, Varian had multiple episodes after his redemption.

It was in the reblogs that the trauma was invalidated.
But all Iâm trying to say, is that the discourse about this doesnât really make any sense, since Varian didnât go back to prison after he helped defeat the saporins, so why should Cass go to prison after helping to defeat ZT?

Again, Cass helped save Corona from ZT, she gave up her moonstone shard so Rapunzel could fight ZT, she literally fixed the problem that she started! As I said, it would be like putting Varian back in jail after he helped defeat the Saporians!
Not to mention, Varian was a threat when he was locked up, Cass was no longer a threat when she was redeemed.
It doesnât matter what the point of your post was, the post still invalidated Cassâ trauma. And yes there are double standards between the two characters, but Varian isnât the victim of them.

Sorry Iâm also reading the reblogs to this and this is actually wild- No Cass didnât kill anyone. If she did it wouldâve been mentioned in the show, they wouldnât just brush over something that big. She never killed one of the guards, fandom wiki can be edited by literally anyone.
Also Varian didnât just âkidnap the queen and take robotsâ, he literally tried to squeeze the life out of the Queen and Cassandra in front of Rapunzel, he tried to kill people with a mutated Ruddiger (which is already messed up that he mutated him btw, thatâs animal abuse), if anyone nearly killed a guard in this instance, itâs him, because Cap was thrown across the courtyard!

1. When did Cass destroy the kingdom âseveral timesâ, she did it once at the end.
2. Cass literally helped save Corona at the end, she fixed the problem she caused. Sending her to prison, would be like sending Varian back to prison after he helped stopped the Saporians. It would be stupid and pointless.
Also âdragging out a beefâ is such a disgustingly simplistic way to say that Cass has literal repressed abuse trauma that was exposed in full to her and she had no idea how to process it.

Cass WIP
This is 'Gothel, Guardian of the Sundrop' AU, Cass, btw.
The cottage she's in with the Sundrop chilling in the background.
The clothes that combine both Gothel's style and that of a Lady of the Palace.
The pearls that definitely came from Arianna.
And her just casually practicing magic.
Plus, you can't tell but she does have one glove on.
We'll see if I finish this one. I do like the drawing but, like everything I've done recently, it's just kinda boring. There's nothing to catch the eye. I mean.... I'm drawing AUs that two people read so it's not like anybody cares anyway but I'm really trying to improve my composition to make art that's worth stopping scrolling to glance at it for two seconds but... not doing well.
I used to be good at composition but recently I just lost that skill? Misplaced it? It's probably outside but the government says we shouldn't go out unless necessary cause of the high temperatures so I guess it'll have to stay there for now.
